Excellent flexible & multifunctional tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Form Assembly has a deceptively simple UI full of design features to create the form you need. The connectors, esp pre-fill, are a lot of fun to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing and saving a form change it in real-time. It needs the ability to change a form but not publish it right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to create all our online forms related to the university admissions process. This includes applications, residence applications, references, supplements, and more. We currently have 56 active forms. It helps us collect data and connect it directly to where it needs to go in salesforce, across multiple objects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Form Assembly to anyone looking for an online forms tool to collect data for a wide range of use cases.
FormAssembly - Ease of integration and use w/ Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
We've been able to leverage form assembly instead of a net new experience cloud based build in Salesforce for student submitted forms which generate case and recommender records in Salesforce. FormAssembly last year provided training to become FormAssembly certified which encompasses building flows and configurations within FormAssembly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too many things - More hands on based trainings (monthly?) to onboard new system users outside of the annual conferences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We leverage form assembly for submission of support tickets which is sent to Salesforce for case creation as well as a way to allow student application recommenders to submit recommendations which are written to the student's salesforce opportunity record.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a larger company with multiple teams, consider enterprise instead of having individual accounts to conserve money. Also have team members join the VIP program to learn about new updates provided early to users in this program.
Excellent features
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create custom workflows and form handoffs is huge. This has allowed us to create a smooth process for employee reimbursement requests from initial submission, to approval, to disbursement.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope the certification program continues as that was very helpful in learning the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Form Assembly to collect valuable internal information and surveys, accept credit card payments, process program inquiries, and we are working on using workflow to build out multi user approval processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great product, but I highly recommend going through the certification process and learning the tools and features before fully implementing the forms.
A Pros and Cons list of FormAssembly
What do you like best about the product?
* Pretty good functionality and features for the price
* Decent documentation in the Support KB
* Ability to import common data sets
* Ability to embed forms on websites is great
* There's a good variety of connectors to external systems, especially Salesforce
* You can do a lot of customization with the form appearance
* You can implement a wide range of formulas and calculations for even more powerful functionality and customization
* There's a pretty good form builder interface that is accessible to most users

What do you dislike about the product?
* While there's a wide variety of connectors available, they are not always the most robust. There are some wildly GLARING gaps in functionality that are incredibly frustrating, especially when it comes to the Salesforce connector and some of the finance connectors
* In my opinion, you do need someone with technical expertise if you want to connect these forms to an external system in order to understand how the connectors work. You also definitely should have someone with knowledge of HTML/CSS to really be able to customize the appearance of the form because unless you go into the code to tweak things to exactly how you want, the form builder wizard does not always give you the best output.
* Form Assembly's customer support isn't the most helpful and the Knowledge KB could always be expanded/improved

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use FA forms for event registration, newsletter subscriptions, and even course applications--sometimes all within the same form. It's been extremely useful to be able to connect forms directly to our Salesforce org to immediately capture customer data (rather than having to constantly manually import these contacts into Salesforce)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your due diligence and map out ALL of your business use cases and workflow processes first
Easy application that allows for quick professional survey!
What do you like best about the product?
An easy application we added to provide professional surveys. Easy to create, using a template, copying an existing survey and the different ways of displaying my questions and answers. Working in a small office, you don't need to be an IT expert to start on Form Assembly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a way to be able to save a survey as a PDF or word doc once a survey has been created. Would love to see about adding users to an account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collecting data from our clients quicker and easier. We can review responses, notify stakeholders and integrate with our CRM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a cost-effective way to create professional-looking forms to share with clients, board members and staff.
Great function and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
For the most part, FormAssembly has been very easy to use and to accomplish what we need it to do. Easy, clean, functional and practical. We have loved using it so far and will keep using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Logic items are a little more difficult to get used to. Once you understand the logic, then it flows. A little bit cleaner with the logic based fields would make it easier to build.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a very complex process that requires logic, tying to Salesforce and creating flows - FA allows us to be able to accomplish all we need to with Salesforce and our process.
Number One Tool for Constituent Surveys, Data Collection, and Salesforce Integration
What do you like best about the product?
The Salesforce connector is flexible, robust and awesome. The number of use cases we use it for are too many too list. Customer support is great - although technical issues are rare, the team has always followed up promptly when we've encountered a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish FormAssembly had a "rank ordered picklist" question type. It would be nice to be able to sort forms in custom folders. A more robust text editor within forms would be nice as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intake forms for our organization - collecting information about new contacts and leads, and creating appropriate contact, account, and opportunity records in Salesforce. Huge constituent surveys - 100+ item questionnaires with flexible conditional options.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's no other survey tool out there that integrates with Salesforce better.
Best Form Build for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ease of use OOTB for the product. It's simple IMO to easily setup and connect to SF without much hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the token authorization. Some times the authorized connection would fail resulting in a new token being issued.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Leads to Salesforce from a top domain website.
FA let us easily create forms to be placed on the site which translated to leads in SF.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can dream it, you can build it. There may be some work around that will be needed
Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create forms that pre-fill and connect into our Salesforce database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "tech" side of things can be hard to handle if you are not tech-savvy. I have gained some knowledge but still do nto feel 100% comfortable on my own without a support sytem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management. We used to manually enter all data
FormAssembly for Higher Education works well
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly, both in creating the forms and with setting up the connectors with Salesforce. It's also very easy to access the logs to troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many different functionalities and more in-depth features that we do not use, which sometimes makes finding the ones we do use a little harder to find when modifying forms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a variety of inquiry forms for different populations looking for information, FormAssembly makes it easy to differentiate them and still make a quick and easy form for prospects to complete. It is also very easy to integrate directly with Salesforce so that duplicates can be identified and excluded.
