For the most part, FormAssembly has worked very well in conjunction with Salesforce.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to prefill forms from Salesforce and then dump information back into Salesforce when submitted. I also like the payment connectors and their ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Chat Support is often full and unaccessable. Documentation doesn't seem to get updated very often. Connector editing slows way down the bigger the connector gets. Theme options, although expanded, are still pretty lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce interactive registration and payment forms without the need to learn coding.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dont expect beautiful looking forms unless you know CSS and get really good with the connectors. That is where you will live most of the time.
help to connect with Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
Easy form building and connecting with salesforce
What do you dislike about the product?
Lookup from salesforce is not available in standard version
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data from all internal users without salesfroce license
Recommendations to others considering the product:
N/A
A robust tool for most of your online form needs
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use user interface, great online documentation, most features are readily apparent with some investigation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced features aren't easily discoverable. Unless I'm missing something there's no way to 'stage' updated. IE, once you save a change, it's live. This isn't always ideal. Like most online companies these days all communication if initially by email. Getting someone on a call is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage about 65 forms from the university application forms, to inquiry forms, residence application and COVID record keeping. Quick and easy to make updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to learn it. It's more powerful than it might first appear.
FormAssembly Rocks
What do you like best about the product?
I love its connection with Salesforce. I think it has a lot of great capabilities by utilizing integrations and formulaic generation. I also feel like the ability to customize the form is extremely useful. From CSS customization to just simple layout, it works for everything we need at my company. The Google Sheet integration is also a lifesaver so I can pass along some of the results of our forms to my coworkers without having to have them log in to FormAssembly. Great stuff to keep the team on the same page!
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't have any big "dislikes". It seems to be a great platform for what I and my company use it for. The only issue I have had at all is that during the entirety of COVID, the Support option has been offline. It would be nice to contact someone at some point for quick help tips. I'm not really sure this is something that can/could be fixed, but I started working with FormAssembly around February-ish prior to the COVID, and then really got into it after COVID had gotten into full swing. So I am not really sure what the support situation was like prior to that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to register a bunch of students without having paper documents. It has really helped with the virtual world we have found ourselves in. The integration with Stripe and Salesforce also allows us to take payments and pass that information along to our Salesforce CRM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you utilize Google Drive and/or Salesforce to collect information on your customers/contacts, I highly suggest using FormAssembly. Not only can you easily create forms to collect information (and payment) from customers, you can also easily integrate it into a website. It's great and extremely useful!
If you use Salesforce, then you definitely want FormAssembly!
What do you like best about the product?
Its connection with Salesforce is almost perfect. Both platforms work incredibly well together. The forms pretty much give you everything you need, and its very easy to use. The response section provides the analysis of all non-text questions and they can be downloaded to Excel. I also like the ability to send automatic copies of answers to designated email addresses and automate auto reply for forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The format possibilities are very limited. I wish it provided more flexibility to the user. Also if you need to use the conditional feature between pages, it can create mistakes. Moreover, there should be an easier feature to limit the number of choices for multiple choice questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I'm solving is the ability to connect all answers from a large group to Salesforce directly.
Very effective tool & great customer support
What do you like best about the product?
We use FormAssembly to capture data and put in in our Salesforce database automatically. Once set up, it works great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the connector to Salesforce could be improved by using field names in formulas instead of meaningless variable names that you have to look up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There have been a few instances of things not working as they should, but Customer Support is very responsive and great at communicating.
The most powerful form service for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
FormAssembly is, by far, the most robust 3rd-party form tool for Salesforce. It can handle complicated data mapping/migration with ease and gives admins complete control over how data is pushed into Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
I occasionally run into issues with data validation, but these are far and few between.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can get data from clients and volunteers directly into Salesforce and bypass data entry completely. This has helped my organization, a human services-providing nonprofit, to go completely remote while still helping clients achieve their goals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
FormAssembly is absolutely essential for Salesforce users; there is no other service which can match its complexity/power.
Easy to use in a lot of different capacities
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to make a straightforward, interactive, and attractively designed form using Form Assembly. It's able to host a lot of information, things are easy to search, and easy to edit.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some more design-oriented flaws that I'm not the biggest fan of, like the inability to streamline text size when you copy over text from another document (the copied texts is copied in a larger font, and the form doesn't have the option for you to highlight all text and have it match. You can retype the copied text to get it to match, but that's an effort).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Loads and loads. Form Assembly has made it simple to describe more detail oriented decisions with easy to read drop-down menus and record reactions and responses. Also like the ability to integrate with Salesforce which means client information and ease of use ratings for this is top notch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would recommend if you're looking for a way to integrate Salesforce and design easy to use forms for your audience.
A good software that works as it should.
What do you like best about the product?
FormAssembly makes it simple to set up forms, especially if you have no HTML or CSS knowledge. If you DO have those additional skills, FA allows you to do many customizations to any form you'd like. Additionally, FA generates a simple, short link for embedding your form in any HTML-accessible page, which is a requirement for my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be more modern and integrations with outside systems (for us, Salesforce) can sometimes break down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a nonprofit, we use FormAssembly for donation forms, auction forms, and other development functions. We also use it even more so for camper and student registration forms throughout the year for our various programs. FA makes it easy to duplicate a form and make the small tweaks to keep it relevant year-over-year which we appreciate. Finally we use FA for our "contact us" form and have been for over 5 years.
User Friendly and Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
The dynamic/usability of the product. There is so much you can do with the product and it's super helpful when needing to create so many different records in Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to figure out specific formulas and the documentation doesn't always exist for the problem you're facing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using FormAssembly to create application records, do volunteer check-in, etc. It's helping us solve a lot of problems for people that we can't give Salesforce logins to but still need to be able to create records or view data!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize the documentation - it's very helpful
