Great, Intuitive Tool for Connecting to Salesforce

  • April 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up form and connect to SFDC.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large response volumes cause API problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We collect customer information and survey responses to streamline business processes and create leads. The lead creation has been extremely helpful. We also use it on our website to collect cases from our user, and route them to our customer service team.
Creating forms and surveys is very straightforward. It is easy to conditionally show and hide fields, and add some other logic. Mapping the fields to Salesforce is also intuitive. On occasion our connectors can get a little complicated, since there are several conditions we need ot check to avoid creating duplicates.
Our web design team usually adds styling to the form after it is embedded into a web page. So I do not have much experience with adding styles to the form. The few times I have added it, it was simple and easy to use. There have been a few difficulties because we embed our forms on our web pages, which limits a few (not many) of FormAssembly's features.
The only difficulty we have had is when there is a large response volume to a survey in a short period of time, the connector to our Salesforce instance has hit API limits. But when the volume is low enough, or spread out across a length of time, it works well.

Not applicable because I'm a believer in the product and use it on a regular basis for recruiting students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing lead data, verification of existing data, and internal forms allowing easy data entry.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is loaded with potential. With that, we highly recommend that you centralize the creation of forms to ensure consistency and data writes to the correct location.

FormAssembly Equals Unparalleled Power and Ease

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that FormAssembly integrates with Salesforce, but that it is so powerful on it's own. FormAssembly is absolutely a standalone powerhouse. We use FormAssembly for paid for registrations, free data collections, applications, multiple organizations, and it's all branded and well integrated with Salesforce. Our reporting power is limitless with this combination. We find that FormAssembly has saved us insane amounts of time and money.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the thematic elements were more easily to manipulate, but there are so many that it doesn't bother me to have to dig a bit for them. I wish FormAssembly reporting was more consistent and user-friendly. I can always get the information I need, just sometimes not within the reporting page. I also wish when errors were encountered by people that it more readily notified me; we used to have this setting and now I can't find it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've reduced our paper use by over 50,000 sheets of paper and we've enabled the ability to track our participants across many years, a feature not previously possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to watch the webinars! A lot of tips and inspiration to be found there. I have frequently been able to beef up our FormAssembly experience after watching one.

Form Assembly is great, the Salesforce connector is invaluable

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce connector
Salesforce Prefill
The ease of building a form and flexibility for accommodating many different use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of ability to template connectors.
Would like more global, admin level abilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data from our customers/clients/constituents into Salesforce.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to connect to Salesforce, this is a fantastic option.

Robust tool that is fairly easy to use

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot of flexibility in the form design and function. The repeatable form section in particular works quite well, and makes team sign ups about as easy as possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The payment processor options with Form Assembly integrations are a little limited. For instance, we were using Stripe until we found out that they don't have an ACH integration for FormAssembly only a credit card integration. Now we use iATS but that presents other challenges. It would be nice if FormAssembly worked with these companies to create more integration options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we've solved is the registration and RSVP forms for our non-profit's learning community events, and we've been able to automatically capture these RSVPs in Salesforce via FormAssembly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a very clear use case and plan that you want FormAssembly to solve and make sure it can accomplish that in a demo.

Easy from start to finshe

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to use FormAssembly. From the creation of a form, to navigating the "Help" section, to the webinars, and then to the collection and presentation of the results.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish with the predefined questions set, there was more description between each type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No asking questions to my clients about data I already have able to bring into the form via the Salesforce connector. The benefits is that its quick and easy for the users and also clean data for me. A win win solution in my eyes!

Simple to Use, Lots of Possibilities

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's an easy-to-use system with a user friendly interface. However, unlike most simple systems there are many ways to leverage FormAssembly.
We use FormAssembly to track events, memberships, and surveys with Salesforce. We've been able to use custom logic so that certain options only appear to certain levels of donors, sponsors, and members. As a small nonprofit, this customization in this pricing tier has allowed us to develop a solution we didn't think possible.
Additionally, any time we have had an issue, their support has been quick to reply and help.
I wouldn't recommend this tool to somebody without Salesforce, but if you're looking for a native Salesforce app, you can't do any better in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
While most of it is simple to use, there are some areas that require more complex technical knowledge. You can easily skirt around this as we have, but if you're an API knowledgable person, you'll have an even easier time leveraging the full power of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use FormAssembly for surveys, memberships, sponsorships, and event attendance. Now, all of our events and attendance information is fed into Salesforce rather than an external system. We had used Eventbrite previously, but the link to Salesforce was clunky. Outside of a Salesforce connector, we've also connected PayPal. This allows for donors to pay for membership, sponsorships, or tickets directly through the FormAssembly form they're filling out. And, by using the pre-fill and conditional logic features, we're then able to tailor the form they see based on information entered into the "look-up" form.

Formassembly is fantastic

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Formassembly has a powerful integration with Salesforce that allows for the automation of complex processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The form builder itself is a bit buggy and I sometimes have to refresh the page or delete and recreate field to get it to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to cut down on data entry and migration using Formassembly to free up our staff to use their time more valuably.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can take some time to become familiar with the Salesforce connector, but once understood there’s really no limit to what you can create/automate.

Great system to collect information

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The feature that has been the most helpful for our organization is the Salesforce and Stripe connectors. This saves us a lot of time syncing data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing immediately comes to mind for dislikes. We have had some issues with various errors, but their support is always really helpful in fixing them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our main uses is for our membership payments. By using FormAssembly we are able to take payments and add users to Salesforce all in one step.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a system to collect info and share it with other services, FormAssembly is a great choice.

Pretty Great Service!

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how well Salesforce and Stripe and FormAssembly work together. This makes things in my org so much easier than if they were less connected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love that FormAssembly is so minimally able to be customized for style. My users' biggest complaint is that they don't want to look at the forms -- we all know they work, but it would be amazing if we could have more (easy) customization options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are allowing all of our event registration and data collection to happen through FormAssembly. This saves a huge amount of time in uploading and cleaning data. This has decreased the number of duplicate contacts we end up with -- which was previously a HUGE issue. In addition to this, FA is being integrated on our website, so it makes things so easy for our participants.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a way to gather information from folks and store it within a CRM that FA works with, FA is an amazing choice!
