Form Assembly is a robust form tool that has a great Salesforce implementation.

Form Assembly ...almost there

  • December 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy form design tools
Love ability to pull/update information from multiple standard and custom objects
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not integrate with Linvio Payment Connect objects. Linvio's ecommerce/subscription pages are not very flexible, but the detail about transaction processing that they provide is excellent. I wanted to be able to create a form to collect contact and membership data and then send payment information over to Linvio to complete checkout, but couldn't make that happen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were not able to implement a solution that was successful based on the limitations noted above.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to create a form--drag and drop!
What do you dislike about the product?
I thought there could be more documentation and help, in general, when first learning to use Form Assembly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using online forms and feeding them into Salesforce, which is what we wanted.

Above basic form builder with lots of integration potential

  • December 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to integrate with different systems and the easiness to build a form without much technical knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of some critical data handling features. Eg: Inability to capture partial form data to the system if the customer left without submitting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to maintain and host webforms and the security headaches of attacks.
Easy to build forms and integrate with other platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We replaced all forms on our website with FormAssembly forms. If you are not looking for a high UI kind of form, just a basic webform to collect data, then go ahead with Form Assembly.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility to create or update Salesforce records.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that we've shut down the FormAssembly servers multiple times due to our traffic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We generate leads from FormAssembly that lead to business.

Works Great. Quite sophisticated.

What do you like best about the product?
Relatively simple once you learn it. After you've done a few forms, you'll get the setup. And, the integration with Salesforce is relatively simple. Great notifications to the end user
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the logic, formulas, and formatting is a bit complicated for a basic office manager. It takes some admin know-how to really tighten up your form. Watch out for your rules on matching criteria for contacts in Salesforce. You can quickly end up with a lot of duplicates. Also, when using a payment processor, it's possible that your form went through fine but your payment processor didn't. So managing all of that from Form Assembly and your payment processor can be a lot of emails. (In other words, your form submissions look fine, but look again- payment didn't process. That's a separate notification.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
double entry on data. saving time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integrates so well with Salesforce that it's worth it.

Good, but could be even better

  • December 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good flexibility with options. It's easy to put together a survey quickly and get it published.
What do you dislike about the product?
As forms get more complex, the system seems to breakdown and I wind up with connector problems. There doesn't seem to be any fix for the problems I have other than simplifying my forms. That's defeats the purpose of my forms in the first place. I feel like the problems are of FA's end and aren't solved because they involve an investment on their part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use form assembly to process scholarship applications as well as apartment rental applications. We also use it internally to process maintenance request forms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Form assembly used to have great customer support. Their recent change to a non chat based support is making dealing with immediate issues more difficult. What used to take a half hour now takes days on my end. It's probably more economical for FA, but not all that helpful to the end administrator.

FA Review

What do you like best about the product?
I like the customer service. The team also pushes to find answers for me and is always so friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like without knowing custom code (which I don't and no one in my office does) there is minimal customization available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to be more organized in our process.

Great product, great customer service!

What do you like best about the product?
FormAssembly is a great product for those of us who are not considered techies, but still need to find our way around. It's user friendly and has great articles and documentation which offer troubleshooting. Plus, their customer service team is always a click or an email away!
What do you dislike about the product?
Salesforce connectors can be tricky, and could always use some more trainings for troubleshooting weird errors that happen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
STREAMLINING PROCESSES LIKE CRAZY! Using form assembly in combination with salesforce has taken our once clumsy registration and stipend processes to a whole new level. We could NOT be where we are without them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
DO IT!!!

Form Assembly is down quite often, but gets the job done!

  • December 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Form assembly is a great way to link documents to salesforce through external websites. We use FA for online applications, and it works like a charm!
What do you dislike about the product?
FA is down quite often, leaving us in a pickle. It seems there's lots of routine maintenance (good), which keeps the forms from working (bad).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit is being able to submit photos or documents into Salesforce.
