Program Director
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the progam is and how friendly the staff is for support
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still some diffuclty in the formulas for salesforce. Also would love more of a discount for non-profits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to do all our applications online and a few surveys and they feed right into salesforce for us.
Point and Click Form Creation
What do you like best about the product?
FormAssembly allows for point-and-click creation of rich forms that we can express on our website and then capture within Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot to digest and learn with FormAsssembly. Being a solo Salesforce admin, the only thing limiting the expansion of my FormAssembly knowledge is time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are capturing application information and tying this to the appropriate Salesforce record for the customer.
Great form tool with easy integration to Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
Easy licensing with ability to connect to multiple Salesforce instances.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some issues with prefill connector over time, must be careful not to promise more than a few fields and think through security protocol for anything you might be showing/exposing through the connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large decentralized campus with need to put data into Salesforce. Has been great in helping to make this process much easier with little training needed from me since they have a great help site and knowledgebase.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pricing/editions should be reviewed. We use the Enterprise Product.
Form Assembly
What do you like best about the product?
Form building and salesforce connectors are easy to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Form building controls don't feel so great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Web-to-Lead; sign up and registration (events, site access, and curriculum materials); receive applications (grant, volunteer, partnership).
Form Assembly is a great addition to our Salesforce use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to connect forms to Salesforce
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the user interface can get a little clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we started using Form Assembly, our process for collecting and tracking information has become so much better. We began by using forms for event RSVPs, but have expanded it to include program applications, event proposals and the anonymous collection of demographic information.
Very functional with Many Pluses
What do you like best about the product?
We switched to FormAssembly from Formsite because of its greater flexibility integrating with Salesforce. Overall, the switch has been easy (though a little time-intensive at first) but we believe it will save us time down the road.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site is not always as user-friendly as I would like it to be -- but there are tons of resources and service assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use FormAssembly for our application processes -- the automation frees up time for review and other nonprofit admin tasks.
Great Salesforce Integration but connector and interface can be improved
What do you like best about the product?
Form Assembly integrates well with Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to look up a related object or stylize forms for Facebook posts. Also, better Google Analytics support would be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Newsletter sign-up, job application intake, web petitions.
Experience using form assembly
What do you like best about the product?
Versatile and ability to integrate well into SalesForce to pull in data from forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having a harder than I'd like finding developers that have used it in the past and are experts at it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used FA for TEDx organizers from around the world to apply and receive a TEDx license.
FormAssembly: Magic with a Submit Button
What do you like best about the product?
FormAssembly combines all of the usability of a drag-and-drop editor with the flexibility of custom development, to create forms that are tailored to your needs and incredibly powerful in their functionality. We use FormAssembly forms for just about everything, from our application process, to contact management, to post-event surveys. Because it allows you both to pull and push data to Salesforce seamlessly, it provides a quick tool for automating complex transactions with our Salesforce instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't much to dislike about FormAssembly given the extensive set of features you included in even the most basic license plan. The only thing for prospective users to consider is that the learning curve might be a little steeper than less sophisticated technologies (i.e. Google Forms). Much of this steepness comes from the robustness of the platform, though, and FormAssembly's comprehensive documentation and their stellar support team help alleviate much of this challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above we use FormAssembly for almost all of our business use cases, but the primary function it has been most helpful for is our application and review process. We have built our entire application process on FormAssembly forms, and this allows us to present the questions in one format on our application and store our applicant responses in a totally different format in Salesforce. Because FormAssembly also allows you to dynamically prefill forms with data from Salesforce, we've also been able to conduct our entire review process through FormAssembly as well, which has allowed us to invite community members without Salesforce licenses to participate in the process as well. This combination of features enables us to optimize both the usability of our forms and the efficiency of our data storage and analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While it takes some time to learn enough of the platform in order to take advantage of all of the features, it really is the most robust bespoke form solution out there. I also invite you to reimagine the "function" of a form builder. Because of all of its connectors and integrations, we've found that surveys are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to FormAssembly use cases.
A game-changer in back office efficiency!
What do you like best about the product?
The connection to Salesforce is flawless and the form has continued to work over the last 2 years through updates to both systems, without issue. It provides a great initial impression to perspective clients that we are technologically savvy and serious about our onboarding process.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the time that I had signed up (early 2016?), they only offered live chat customer service, which took some getting used to. Especially since I was still learning the system, however everyone was so good, my concerns dissipated quickly over that and it worked out really well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before FormAssembly, a prospective client would fill out our "Family Information" form via fillable PDF or printed copy and return it to our office. Then a member of our staff would have to take that information and manually enter it into Salesforce, which introduced human error because inevitably certain parameters would be incorrectly set or checkboxes missed - not to mention it's double entry, a huge waste of time. With FormAssembly, the client enters their own information from any device and then get immediately added to Salesforce with all the correct formatting. This has been huge for efficiency at our small firm!!
