Great monitoring solution for companies that want to progress
What do you like best about the product?
Stackpacks and the ease of integration. Getting data in a monitoring system can be bothersome, but integration and basic interpretation out of the box make this very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while for some features or fixes are available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaining insight, relating causes to impact, having the same overview in a distributed organization. Making things visual by itself is already a great benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Modularity is nice, but setting stuff up usually takes a lot of time. Consider that.

StackState: Observability made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very nice and the integrations with existing services provide a big plus. It makes integrating easy and complete. StackState also has great support when things are missing or wrong in the current solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are big fans of self-service solutions, so we would prefer if our DevOps teams could add their application monitoring to StackState. However, we have found that this can be rather difficult due to the complexity of creating custom integrations for StackState. So now we use a lot of great integrations created by StackState and try to onboard monitoring on most of the underlying components, so our DevOps teams only need to add the final parts of their stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use StackState for monitoring our services. We would like to expand it to full-on observability and AIOps in the future but are not there yet. One of the big problems it solves for us is the scattered nature of monitoring data. Even though we have Splunk as a central data lake, not all data is sent there. This is mainly due to the volume of monitoring data some services generate. StackState and its StackPacks allow us to integrate all these services, making it the ideal monitoring platform.
