What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use
Clarity of what needs to be done and when
The CSM responsiveness to any questions we had along the way

The Vanta Agent (installed on computers) could be improved in terms of visibility (which laptops are missing) and ease of installation

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's great about keeping track of technology system resources and notifying us whenever we need to update configurations or documents. It's UX is easy to use and we get value out of our leadership/partners seeing summarized views of our compliance/audit status. It integrates well with our systems like AWS and Google Workspaces, and it also helps us automate parts of our annual SOC 2 audit when we engage an audit firm.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little while to get used to navigating the interface since there are so many areas and features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us focus only on items we need to address to be audit-ready and compliant with HIPAA standards.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is an easy to use, modern application. We've used it for about 4 years in a row now.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the early days, it feels hard to justify the steep price tag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be Soc 2 Type 2 certified, and this supports in our annual audit, as well as our day to day security.

Simplifies compliance management and consistently adds new features

What is our primary use case?

I use it for compliance management.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Vanta is its prebuilt control frameworks, which enable us to quickly achieve and sustain compliance without the need for extensive manual setup or configuration.

What needs improvement?

The main area for improvement in Vanta is the user interface's refresh rate. Sometimes, after satisfying a control, the dashboard may not immediately update, requiring multiple refreshes for accurate status display.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Vanta for about six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Overall, I would rate Vanta's stability around a nine out of ten. While there is occasional latency in status updates, it hasn't caused significant issues, and hitting refresh resolves any delays.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate Vanta's scalability around a nine out of ten. With constant updates and added capabilities like AI for third-party vendor reviews, it efficiently accommodates our organization's growth and diverse compliance needs.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of Vanta was straightforward and I would rate the easiness of it as a nine out of ten. While there were minor challenges with integrations, overall, it provided policy templates and allowed for easy customization, making the process relatively smooth.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Vanta offers value through its partner ecosystem, potentially reducing audit costs due to streamlined processes and volume discounts from previous modules. I would rate Vanta at a two out of ten in terms of costliness.

What other advice do I have?

We use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance prep by integrating our security controls and policies. It automatically checks if controls are met, reducing audit time by about half since evidence is gathered beforehand, minimizing back-and-forth with auditors.

Vanta's continuous monitoring integrates with our ticketing system and vulnerability scanning solution, enabling real-time tracking of security issues. It provides an audit trail for vulnerability management, with built-in SLAs to ensure timely remediation and compliance.

I would recommend Vanta to others. It simplifies compliance management and consistently adds new features, making it effective and reliable for getting the job done.

Overall, I would rate Vanta as a nine out of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Vanta for over 2 years, and this has been the most helpful tool in assisting companies to prepare for SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance. Its intuitive platform provides an easy and simplified compliance process, clear insights, and automation of manual tasks that would otherwise be quite cumbersome. Speeded up audit preparation and time to certification. Their support is great, always ready to help and at the right time.
What do you dislike about the product?
For new users, the initial learning curve can be steep as there are a large amount of features. But once you get going it feels like a breeze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped our company streamline GDPR, SOC 2, and HIPAA compliance. It enabled us to easily identify gaps and maintain compliance. Vendor risk assessment is perfectly streamlined as well, with reminders and alerts for non-compliance being extremely helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we set out to present a certification, a great deal of documentation work and deployment of controls is required, which can be overwhelming. However, with Vanta, the documentation process is simple because it provides us with templates prepared by experts that already comply with the regulations. Additionally, with the integrations, it helps us apply the necessary controls according to the case.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's literally thought of everything for you; all of the automation of integrations, the vendors and even templates for every document and policy you could need. It's so much more than just passing an audit; these policies are genuinely beneficial for our business. Customer support has so far been great!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are definite improvements that could be made to the user experience; for example, having a 'planning' environment to play around with the parameters and settings before deciding to 'go live' to the company, having a 'my work/ my actions' area to consolidate all of your work in one place rather than looking through policies, documents, tests, etc. and also making essential documentation easier to find. It took us 2 months to discover where the system description document is and that's absolutely vital.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us to organise ourselves to obtain a SOC 2 report and bridge any gaps that we discover along the way.

Game-Changing Software for Compliance

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has made HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2 manageable to complete all at once at VALD. Vanta helps track every framework by tasks, all divided and assigned across every department and team to action.

One of Vanta's biggest strengths is its ability to simplify complex compliance processes. The large library of SaaS product API's allowed us to integrate live monitoring with compliance dashboards.

Having Vanta means I have a place for Account Access reviews, Risk management reviews, Endpoint management reviews, Security training record reviews, Security questionnaires answered, and an executive summary for our leadership to showcase progress to the Board of Directors. Vanta is our map to getting certified, making it much easier to handle.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's worth noting that most issues with Vanta can require multiple updates on support tickets. While the support team is very responsive and professional, addressing certain issues can sometimes be time-consuming with a lack of live chat or phone support options. To date, most of my correspondence has been through email which can have long delays between different timezones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta takes the manual updates and excel sheets required for cybersecurity compliance and removes the painful admin required to get through audits.
