What do you like best about the product?
My team uses it to integrate with Intune to easily monitor our users devices to ensure that they are within compliance. There were issues a few months ago with Vanta that was causing macOS devices not to sync properly with Intune, took a little bit of time but ever since the team at Vanta was able to resolve the issue it has been working pretty smoothly for our purposes
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little difficult to deploy the Vanta app via Intune. We use the integration but we still would like to deploy the app for redundancy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get alerted when a new onboarded user has no devices enrolled with our MDM, helps us keep on top of enrollment of new hire devices

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use and was simple to implement. More than just a compliance tool, it helped make us a better product as well. Everyone I worked with has been very helpful and knowledgeable. As a software developer I truly appreciate every aspect of the solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
When adding additional modules it can get a bit expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a single location to pull together our SOC2 and GDPR compliance needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has been incredibly helpful in streamlining compliance processes and maintaining a strong security posture. The platform’s automated compliance features simplify evidence collection and continuous monitoring, making it far easier to achieve and maintain certifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta has been a valuable tool overall, there are several areas where it falls short. Vendor management, for instance, is limited by the inability for "business owners" to view vendor information—making it difficult to delegate responsibilities effectively. Additionally, the lack of flexible Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) options is frustrating; RBAC is an add-on feature, but it only provides either full admin access or no access at all, with no option for view-only or other granular controls. Another drawback is that SCIM provisioning is only available in the highest pricing tier, which includes little else beyond SCIM and multiple workspaces. This tier structure seems unnecessary—SCIM provisioning would be more appropriately included in the mid-tier, while a separate tier could focus on multi-workspace support for larger organizations. Ticketing integrations generally function well, but attempting to leverage specific tags like “procurement” or “security issue” often leads to issues that Vanta labels as “features” rather than “bugs,” which feels dismissive of practical user needs. These limitations create unnecessary friction in what could otherwise be a streamlined platform.

Vanta helps us efficiently track our certifications and automate evidence gathering, streamlining the compliance process and reducing manual effort. This automation ensures we stay on top of our compliance requirements, making it easier to manage audits and maintain certifications with minimal disruption.

What do you like best about the product?
I have really appreciated how Vanta has made setting up and managing compliance straightforward for our small team of employees, despite lacking a dedicated compliance department. The setup process out of the box is incredibly user-friendly and adaptable to any organization, providing a significant advantage in getting 95% of the way towards compliance effortlessly. Vanta's tool allows us to manage compliance efficiently without requiring a chief compliance officer or an in-house legal team, which is cost-effective and vital for a small startup like ours. It's streamlined our processes, saving us time and creating greater efficiencies in handling compliance-related tasks, which are often arduous when done manually. We've also benefited from the streamlined security review and access request processes, which are well-developed and assist in tracking system access within the company. Furthermore, Vanta's value per dollar is outstanding, as it effectively eliminates the need for an entire compliance department, making it an incredible and integral tool for us. The customer service is timely and responsive, with a willingness to jump on calls to solve problems, and they make sure to provide options and discounts, which I find honest and straightforward. Overall, Vanta not only stands out as the best compliance tool I've used but also comes highly recommended by our leadership team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would probably change the initial onboarding and maybe funnel customers into a more directed onboarding based on their industry. Determining who has access to what is a very tricky area, and there's room for improvement in the access section to make it clearer. Also, the use of integrations and its expansion is a topic Vanta understands, but there's always room for more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to manage compliance efficiently with a small team, eliminating the need for a dedicated compliance department. It streamlines complex tasks, like security reviews, saving time and boosting efficiency without manual errors.

The amoun of integrations offered with other tooling makes Vanta a valuable and time saving complaince offering

Issues with the Workspace One integration have caused us to rely on the Vanta agent only for reporting

What do you like best about the product?
Doing our complicance without Vanta would have been a nightmare, and I'm sure we would have missed things.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI doesn't always immediately update so it can be a bit confusing whether you've checked something off or not.

Great Tool to Aid in SOC2 Type 2

What do you like best about the product?
The document templates have helped out a lot. We are getting our organization up and running so we didn't have a lot of the documents needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI is a little confusing but with a little time you figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to achieve SOC2 Type 2 compliance. Our company has tasked a small group of us and given us a smallish budget to do so which means we have to do it ourselves. Vanta helps walk us through all the items needed to achieve compliance
