Best tool for SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Software is easy to use and customer support has been helpful. They have a lot of resources and templates in the library to help you get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to fill in company details and let it automatically update the policies instead of manually filling it in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta streamlines the SOC2 compliance process and makes it easier and quicker to be compliant.

Vanta provides a path towards achieving critical security certifications
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides a pathway to achieving compliance with security programs, and ultimately receiving relevant certifications and audit reports. We worked with Vanta to launch our SOC 2 program and were successful in setting up a truly effective program despite the fact that no one on our team had set up a SOC 2 program before. Right now we're applying the lessons learned during that process to set up our ISO 27001 program and I have no doubt will reach that milestone within the next few months thanks in no small part to Vanta. Vanta is everything you need for compliance, you will need other partners, such as a great auditor, but they make the path forward clear and manageable, even for teams without prior experience setting up security compliance programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had some issues with our GCP integration due to the fact that we have literally thousands of instances and we tend to run into API / import issues from time to time, but Vanta has been great about working with us to sort out those challenges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta provides a pathway towards achieving compliance with our selected security compliance programs, and then provides a central location where all of the relevant data is gathered, in many cases in a fully automated fashion. Vanta automates compliance, and where it can't be automated, it provides a central hub where our company and our auditors can manage data requests.
Vanta makes compliance a joy and not a choir.
What do you like best about the product?
Having one place for all security compliance needs. Everything is mapped and easy to upload, create, manage, and follow. The most efficient system for risk and compliance ever created.
What do you dislike about the product?
An ability to work with third-party auditors via Vanta, making audits seamless and smooth. Ongoing monthly support from Vanta is very helpful and keeps us updated on enhancements, connecting with subject matter experts, and simply answering questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is our risk and compliance solution, allowing us to have a strong, complete, and robust security compliance program. In addition, Vanta will enable companies to manage risk and compliance with fewer resources because automation is the key.
Compliance Can Be Simple
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta made it so easy to just get straight into becoming SOC-2 compliant. We had the entire process broken down into phases and their checklists made it simple to delegate across the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not dislike anything, but I would recommend having weekly check-ins with your customers to answer any questions and keep the momentum going.
Thankfully our team was self-motivated, but I could see this project becoming overwhelming for other companies.

Vanta helped us with some of our policies and procedures deficiencies. Their templates were easy for us to edit and apply to our business model.

What do you like best about the product?
Help our team stay on track and organized as we obtain our ISO and SOC2 Certifications

Even though we received good value, the total investment was a touch pricey.

How their software integrates with all the applications we use and creates solutions on how to fix any issues found in them

Not a huge issue but there was issues with installing vanta agent on some of windows machines but the customer support where super helpful and got a solution for it

Vanta makes SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance easy
What do you like best about the product?
It was very easy to get set up and moving forward with SOC 2 and HIPAA using Vanta. Their account manager and support team are always responsive, and Vanta helps monitor our compliance on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta can feel a bit pricey, but in comparison to alternatives like Drata, Vanta is actually very competitively priced.

It's a true problem solver and helps us simpilfy how we maintain our security controls and compliance

Absolutely nothing. They've built a great product and continue to deliver new features that are valuabe to security and IT teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta continously monitors our controls and helps us maintain compliance and security oversight continously vs at a point-in-time. Additionally, it automates a lof of work that we used to do manually. For example, access reviews is now mostly automated for us whereas we used to use spreadsheets and manually review access.
Good software for SOC 2 Type II
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it keeps all of my SOC2 items in one place. When there are issues, Vanta gives us instructions on how to fix the issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't integrate with everything we had hoped it would. This is pretty minimal, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we started our SOC2 journey, we were doing everything manually with many different people in many different locations. Now three people can manage the entire process from one centralized platform. There is no way we could have done it without Vanta or a similar platform.
SOC2 Compliance turned into common sense
What do you like best about the product?
They make it really easy to understand what you need to do to become compliant but they also teach you about those steps as well. Also, their support team is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Based on what I was expecting, there have been no downsides.

We need to become SOC2 and HIPAA compliant.
