Easy to use compliance management tool to maintain annual compliance certification like SOC 2
What do you like best about the product?
The most important feature is compliance artifacts which make compliance framework management easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing and sometimes search capability/experience are not great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using this tool to obtain and maintain annual compliance specifically SOC 2 Type 2 certification. Maintaining evidence on a regular basis is a big task from the compliance perspective and Vanta is helping us to do that. Also, we were using it for cloud (AWS) compliance and internal audit and sometimes for vendor management.
Expensive but has great potential

High cost means building initial business case was a challenge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated compliance monitoring for ISO 27001, saving time for internal compliance and audit

It's all comprised on the same place and we have guidelines on what needs to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite a lot of work and some of the guideance we received towards Vanta partners was not completely clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to get SOC2 Type 2 Compliant and do not currently have a dedicated person or team for this purpose.
Great product for scaling software platforms
Vanta and their CSM team have been great. It's been super helpful to onboard to a cyber sec and compliance platform which has supported the growth of our product.
Vanta is fairly easy to use especially given the complexity of SOC compliance

It organizes SOC compliance into an managable approach

Finding the menu selection that you are looking for isn't always intuitive

It is allowing us to obtain SOC II compliance
Vanta makes it easy for us to comply
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and gives us clear actions to follow up within a short time frame. Using integrations it's easy to quickly connect the applications you're using and get started. This made it very easy for us to start. The fact that Vanta checks these external tools automatically saves us time. We're following up actions in Vanta weekly.

Sometimes you have to reconnect integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main goal is to achieve SOC 2 certification with the help and guidance of the Vanta plaform. When we started using Vanta, we also discovered features as Risk management and privacy assesment of other vendors. We really like that.
Helps manage the SOC-2 and HIPAA BAA Compliance Processes

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the items can be really hard to find, especially if their requirements have been satisfied. I also have trouble finding the employee onboarding page after it's been completed; these days I just bookmark it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is tracking our cloud setups to ensure compliance, and then providing access to auditors to verify that we are doing everything correctly.

The integration and all the automation features. Vanta is really inituitive and easy to use. It really speeds up our work.

A better overview of assigned tasks would really be helpful

Setting up our ISMS and have monitoring in place for compliance
Great compliance tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to view a dashboard and see exactly where we might be lacking with either documentation, a security check or a report etc is invaluable and makes it move along very quickly in the compliance journey.

Pricing can get get high with the modules

Helping us get our new product SOC 2 compliant - to be able to be sell in cloud marketplace.
Streamlined experience that saved us an incredible amount of time

Vanta helps simplify the end to end SOC2 process, which is an otherwise technically complex and daunting process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The handoff process from the AE to CSM was a little clunky. I was left not really knowing what to do and there was a fair bit of radio silence/uncertainty for a week or two. But when I finally got in touch, things became very clear and the onboarding/success team was very helpful.

Vanta radically simplifies the complex work of navigating SOC2 compliance (+ other compliance work we want to do in the future).
