Streamlines SOC 2 for First Timers
What do you like best about the product?
It lets you see everything that you need to do to meet compliance requirements at a glance, demystifying the process significantly for those who aren't familiar with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Vanta gave better insight into scenarios when certain listed policies, documents, tests, etc aren't needed, especially for smaller companies where a lot of things don't end up applying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's making it much more straighforward to understand what we need to do to be compliant.
Vanta's indispensable in achieving and maintaining compliance, and best security practices
What do you like best about the product?
The platform's automated processes significantly reduce the manual workload associated with compliance tasks. By automating gap analysis, evidence collection, and policy enforcement, Vanta streamlines the path to compliance, making it more accessible for organizations of all sizes.
Vanta's continuous monitoring feature is crucial for maintaining compliance and reinforcing good security practices over time. Instead of treating compliance as a one-time event, Vanta ensures that organizations remain audit-ready at all times.
Vanta also connects with a wide array of tools and systems that are in use, including cloud providers, project management tools, version control systems and vulnerability management tools to name a few.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations require a SCIM, and that can be extra and unexpected overhead to get setup. 1password for example.
While lots of integrations are supported, not all services provided by those integrations are implemented for continous monitoring by Vanta. Sometimes it is only 'User Access' data is integrated with Vanta, while the actual features/services the platform is being used for is no where to be seen. Some examples are Crowdstrike (should also support vul management) and Bob (should also support policy acceptance)

What do you like best about the product?
It has an easy control monitoring feature. This exceptional product has streamlined our operations, enabling us to monitor our controls effortlessly and precisely. Its comprehensive frameworks, which require minimal research to implement, set Vanta apart. We got up and running quickly, and its seamless connections to industry partners made Vanta the obvious choice over other solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their partner's lack of responsiveness was disappointing the first year. Our second audit was better with the new auditor's team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta has played a pivotal role in growing our business by supporting the trust our customers place in us. In an environment where data security and compliance are paramount, Vanta's tools have given us a competitive edge, reassuring our clients that their information is in safe hands. It helps me scale OpSec without using our engineering team's time or too much of mine. It is also easy to follow, and they keep up with updates to the compliance frameworks, which saves me time.

Vanta has been fantastic about keeping us in compliance month or month. No end of year surprises!

I wish PCI tool was more auditmated and thorough.

We evaluated Vanta and a several other industry competitors, and chose Vanta due to their reliability and reputation as an industry leader. Following a demo, we felt comfortable that the platform would meet our specific needs for our 2024 audit goals over alternative options offered by competitors. We ultimately chose Vanta because it supports more compliance standards specific to our current needs, their lightweight read-only agent, and their portfolio of audit partners.

True Autopilot for Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides you with a roadmap to compliance for any of their supported frameworks and it holds your hand every step of the way towards that making the implementation of that framework as quick and easy as possible. Once you've achieved compliance they keep you accountable through a dashboard and email alerts. There are tons of features to save you time and the customer support is incredible. It is very easy to integrate with all of your existing tools and you'll find yourselve using it everyday to check the health of your compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price may be a barrier for smaller organizations just getting started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helpied us to become and remain compliant for different security frameworks that are critical for our organization and clients.
Vanta is invaluable
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is one of our most highly valued third party services. We're currently completing a SOC2 audit, and we'd be nowhere without Vanta's comprehensive set of policy templates and monitors. We also get reviewed quite frequently by our banking and other financial partners, and Vanta's compliance and security tools make those reviews significantly easier. Very easy to use and highly recommended.

Our employees don't want to run Vanta monitoring software.

We invite our business partners, employees,...to easily run a SOC2 review and more.

What's particularly impressive is the level of automation integrated into their tools, which helps businesses save time and resources while ensuring robust security measures are in place. Most important is that you have notifications for you and your team so you can work proactively on open topics, follow up by easily integrating into Slack and Email and never miss an important todo again.
Furthermore, the level of detail and transparency provided in the reports generated by Vanta is commendable. It's clear that the team at Vanta understands the importance of clear communication when it comes to matters of security and compliance, and they've done an excellent job of distilling complex data into actionable insights. In special occasions we asked their support team or your dedicated account manager. They are all very nice and helpful.

If I were to offer one suggestion for improvement, it would be to further streamline the onboarding process for new users or simpilfy the user-interface. While the platform itself is intuitive to navigate, I found that getting started initially required a bit more effort than expected. Simplifying this process could help onboard users more efficiently and ensure they can start leveraging Vanta's powerful tools as quickly as possible.

Excellent Support, Made Compliance Certification Straightforward
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta helped streamline the entire audit process and make certification faster than we could have imagined. Within a few months of starting the process, we received our certifications without any issues, all because of how prepared we were with Vanta.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was some miscommunication initially with the auditor we worked with through Vanta and even our Vanta success rep wasn't able to get a clear response - however it ended up being resolved quickly and we were back on track quickly.

Nothing - as a non-technical user involved in the process, it would be good to be looped in on final reports.
