What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very intuitive with a sleek design. The webinars and training videos helped me get acquianted quickly. The templates and tools make it easy to get started and prevented my team and I from getting overwhelmed at the seemingly daunting task of reaching our compliance goals!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing negative to report, except maybe that it is a bit expensive, but the benefits and customer service mostly account for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shows us alerts in real time so we can quickly resolve compliance issues as they arise. It also keeps us on track with our tests and reminds us when reviews and documentation are needed.
Easy to use, with some quirks
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta makes it incredibly easy to maintain our compliance requirments. I like some of the easy-to-use deployment features, like being integrated with our MDM software so that new employees can easily download the Vanta agent and go through security training.
The website itself is also generally fast, responsive, and has never been down in 2+ years of using.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tasks for offboarding feel overly complicated or restrictive, such as if we have a departing employee whose accounts needs to remain active for a small period of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta makes it easy to prove our compliance frameworks to our customers. It can help avoid long, complicated InfoSec review and allows to easily show customers that we take seriously their data.

Vanta's auditing features, and continuous monitoring for automated tests and documentation.

At times, false positives from the Vanta agent.

Critical piece of compliance for a any sized team.
What do you like best about the product?
We are a very small team working on our first SOC2 and would not have been able to manage it without Vanta. The user interface is clear and (for the most part) very intuitive. Vanta not only shows what tests need remidation. but also what to do in easy-to-follow clear steps. Help is terrific! Anytime we had a question, we reached out and received a quick and accurate response. Within the first day of implentation we had users added, cloud services connected, and jumped to 25% completion. We're in Vanta for a little time everyday while we're setting up, but soon it will be more like a weekly task to updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one tiny issue with the user interface that threw me for a loop. There is a tab for people in the organization, but to add users to the system you need to navigate to Settings -> User Permissions. Once I got that, everything was smooth.

We started using Vanta for SOC2 compliance, but quickly are finding that it has improved our vendor management and security compliance, so we are expanding our use of it.
it makes audit prep a snap

The ease of use, in coordinating our efforts towards multipule security audit preperations, along with the flexibility of the platform.

The cost is up there compared to other options on the market but often enough you get what you pay for.

Vanta's great about keeping track of technology system resources and notifying us whenever we need to update configurations or documents. It's UX is easy to use and we get value out of our leadership/partners seeing summarized views of our compliance/audit status. It integrates well with our systems like AWS and Google Workspaces, and it also helps us automate parts of our annual SOC 2 audit when we engage an audit firm.

It takes a little while to get used to navigating the interface since there are so many areas and features.

The main area for improvement in Vanta is the user interface's refresh rate. Sometimes, after satisfying a control, the dashboard may not immediately update, requiring multiple refreshes for accurate status display.

Vanta offers value through its partner ecosystem, potentially reducing audit costs due to streamlined processes and volume discounts from previous modules. I would rate Vanta at a two out of ten in terms of costliness.
What other advice do I have?
We use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance prep by integrating our security controls and policies. It automatically checks if controls are met, reducing audit time by about half since evidence is gathered beforehand, minimizing back-and-forth with auditors.
Vanta's continuous monitoring integrates with our ticketing system and vulnerability scanning solution, enabling real-time tracking of security issues. It provides an audit trail for vulnerability management, with built-in SLAs to ensure timely remediation and compliance.
I would recommend Vanta to others. It simplifies compliance management and consistently adds new features, making it effective and reliable for getting the job done.
