Very good experience, saves a lot of time and effort

The integrations and document templates of the policies
What do you dislike about the product?
some integrations were not stragihtforward to set up without enterprise SaaS packages like the one with Rippling or One Password

SOC2 audit, make it significantly easifer for me as Co-founder and CTO

Automating documentation of what security resources customers are accessing

What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to understand how you're doing when it comes to the tests for each of the security frameworks you're interested in. Integrations were really smooth. Very clear instructions on what needs to happen to get compliant. You're able to use Vanta across several frameworks, and you can add them gradually (we started with SOC 2 and then added ISO, HIPAA). The CSM and AM assigned to us were really helpful, responsive, and friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't really think of any downsides. We are a small team and so really needed something easy to use. I have heard that the costs may be a lot higher for larger teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auditors can get into your Vanta instance and evaluate you really seamlessly. Being able to monitor compliance across all the different kinds of tests.
Vanta is an Excellent UAR Platform Complete with Offboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is an all encompassing platform for user access reviews, probing new softwares users are logging into, as well as connecting with your HRIS system when users are offboarded you can follow a checklist to ensure their offboarding is completed
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite it showing when users log into platforms via SAML email, it does not show when users are using username/password authenitcation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For SOC2 compliance it allowed us to take direct auditable actions to show our auditors, additionally it helps us stay in compliance with terminated users.
It was quite overwhelming, lot of documents to fill in

The description in each and every issue needs to be resolved with detailed steps

Some processes were dependent on others and it was quite difficult to follow up

Platform for managing SOC2 and ISO process
Very convenient - Helps us out with staying in compliance and managing threats

I really love the vendor management and test section features - we use these to conduct security reviews and to stay on top of compliance related items

I wish we could build more custom tests that dont pertain to our controls but are still relevamt

Easy Breezy Security Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has been an invaluable tool in our compliance efforts over the years. The software’s intuitive interface clearly segments which issues our teams need to focus on, making it simple to understand the necessary steps to reach compliance. Additionally, Vanta’s customer success and account management teams have been incredibly responsive, providing clear guidance on complex edge cases and helping us stay on track toward full compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback we’ve encountered is that the Vanta Agent isn’t compatible with Chromebooks, which some of our team members use. This has required us to implement a workaround to ensure these devices meet security audit standards. While it’s manageable, Chromebook support would simplify the process even further.

Vanta is helping us streamline our security compliance process by breaking down complex compliance requirements into manageable tasks. It quickly identifies what our teams need to focus on and provides clear guidance on how to address any gaps, making compliance a lot less overwhelming. With Vanta, we're able to stay audit-ready year-round without dedicating excessive time or resources, which ultimately frees our team to focus more on strategic initiatives. Additionally, Vanta’s responsive support team has been invaluable in helping us navigate unique cases, ensuring we’re always on the right path toward full compliance.

It's very difficult to say something I didn't like, the only thing that comes to mind is the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me a lot of time doing my work, plus it documents everything already.
Made our SOC2 compliance way easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that it integrates with AWS, lets you know what needs to be fixed. They even provide easy steps to follow to get these task accomplished wether you use the UI or terraform. Implimementation was easy as we easily connected our office 365 withing the first few minutes of being onboarded.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been a user fro 2 months now I see no downsides yet.

Maintain our SOC2 and Hippa compliance has never been easier
Great product for small companies & meeting their compliance needs
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is easy to use and intuitive. It allows for integration across a broad selection of providers. Once setup, assigned owners of of domains can complete as desired.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone who is not part of the technical implementation team, setting this up may require assistance from the respective internal partners to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta will help fast track the completion of SOC2 evidence gathering and allow for regular offboarding task tracking.
