Overall an incredibly smooth and effortless experience
What do you like best about the product?
A few things stood out to me, including (1) a very comprehensive outline of goals our team had to accomplish, (2) ease of use and collaboration between stakeholders involved in the project, which required minimal work on our end and very clear instructions on what had to be done, and (3) a super responsive customer support team whenever we had questions about the process. Given (2), this was rare btw.
What do you dislike about the product?
Policy templates were a great starting point for some of the policies we didn't have in place, and expanding this feature might prove helpful to earlier-stage companies that are just starting to build their foundations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeking SOC 2 compliance that gives us more credibility with our partners.

What do you like best about the product?
The team at Vanta has built an amazing tool with an even better integration suite that allows to be on top of our compliance and security seemlessly.
We were looking for a tool that helps us become SOC2 Type 2 compliant. We looked at various vendors in the space but ultimately decided to go with Vanta because of its superior product and customer love we had heard from other business owners that had used Vanta.
Our experience has been on similar lines and love the product as well the customer support that comes with it. It was very easy to setup and use from the get go in all aspects for our SOC2 needs.

Vanta helped us become SOC2 compliant in a seemless way. This unlocked deals for us as well as allowed us to build trust with your buyers.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful is really the automation and integration with all our systems. It is very easy and keeping us with deadlines, alerts and things that need evidence etc. Quite an easy platform that makes the work much easier and focused.

Keep adding integrations and expanding it.

Nothing... Vanta help us so much of getting our SOC2 in less then 3 months!

Streamlining compliance is a breeze with Vanta. Easily identify the areas that require attention for swift certification, ensuring a rapid and efficient path to compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the progress bar and the automatic document creation. It saves a lot of time by knowing what needs to be done in a structured way, and Vanta provides that. The inegration with different vendors also helps a lot and saves loads of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature is unusable. It can be difficult to find documents you are looking for as there is no effective way of searching or finding it without knowing where it is.

Simplifying the process of becoming ISO 27001 compliant

What do you like best about the product?
The high number of automated tests, leveraging integrations with our other tools, makes ongoing use of Vanta very easy. Notifications are clear and allow you to respond and rectify issues in good time. Slack notifications are particularly helpful. Their customer support is also very responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their "agent" which runs on employee machines to monitor basic requirements like disk encryption, can be difficult to manage. It doesn't provide a UI, so can be difficult for staff to know when it's running and diagnose issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automates many of the compliance controls for our SOC 2, which massively reduces the amount of manual work required. It also does a good job of providing a framework for manual evidence gathering, where automoation is not possible.
Saves us tons of time, stress and money on our SOC2 and other audits.

What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation and configuration can be fairly complex. We're a small org and ultimately hired someone to help with getting everything 100% dialed in.
They have improved some reminders and alerts about non-compliance but there is no way to flag important vs lower level alerts so signal/noise can be challenging sometimes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They help us stay organized and compliant for Security Audits and HIPAA. They make SOC2 audits, ISO27001 and HIPAA (for us) audits easier, faster, and less expensive.

Many Integrations, but always one will be missing: A minor downside is the lack of integration with some applications, such as Typeform.
Learning Curve: If you are not familiar with security frameworks, then you will have a steep learning curve. For those new to it, it is advisable to work with a consultant who has prior experience with Vanta. This initial hurdle can be a bit of a challenge. However, it will take 1 month of part-time work to figure things out.

Vanta has been instrumental in establishing HIPAA compliance for our organization. By providing an efficient platform to monitor compliance levels and gather necessary evidence, it has significantly streamlined our compliance processes. The platform's intuitive design and support for various frameworks have allowed us to scale our compliance efforts effectively. With Vanta, we have clear visibility on compliance-related tasks and understand any blockers that might arise. This transparency has been beneficial in ensuring we meet HIPAA standards consistently. Additionally, while Vanta's learning curve was initially steep, the knowledge gained has made ongoing compliance management much more manageable.

What do you like best about the product?
The security controls needed for SOC2 compliance was laid out already for us, making it easy for our company to work on the needed requirements. There's also the suggestions that they have on each of the controls, be it as a policy template or a best practice on how to implement AWS GuardDuty on your AWS environment. They also have great customer support service, really helpful and responsive. Whenever we have something that needs clarifications, the customer support is always a click away.
What do you dislike about the product?
Monitoring is sometimes unreliable or not reflecting instantly (i.e remediated vulnerabilities should not be appearing)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales enablement, most of our client requires us to have compliance attestations/certifications. Vanta helps us streamline the process and shorten the period for us to acquire the attestations/certifications.
There's also the maturing of our security practices. As our Company grows, there's a need to maintain and improve our security posture and Vanta helps us see what are the current gaps that we can address be it in the tooling needed or policies needed to be enforced.
