Vanta-- our preferred vendor for compliance
What do you like best about the product?
We decided to move forward with Vanta because they seemed to be the leader in the marketplace. Further, with automation, they made the administrative burden minimal, allowing us to focus on getting compliance ready faster. Vanta also continues to release new features and integrations, which has been helpful to our team!
What do you dislike about the product?
At first we had a dedicated account manager, however, it seems that Vanta has transitioned away from this model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta has provided automation to help us get into compliance and learn more about complaince frameworks. They have an organized workflow that communicates our steps to compliance.
Worth every penny
What do you like best about the product?
Continuous monitoring of infrastructure, SLAs and policies. Clear dashboard of action items to remain in compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is continuously evolving so it can sometimes be difficult to find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance is complex and sprawling. Vanta allows us to connect all of our disparate services and quickly see what we need to adjust to be compliant.
Great fit for a small team
What do you like best about the product?
The controls are your actual controls for your audit, and are tied directly to the tests and documents required to do the audit. The device management is simple and exteremely easy to get onto your teams devices.
Overall, an excellent tool for real time verification that you are on track to pass your annual audit.

What do you dislike about the product?
Removing an existing integration isn't intuitive (and dangerous for your audit!), and sometimes my direct customer success contact can be hard to get a hold of for support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Vanta to help pass an annual SOC 2 Type 2 audit.

- Cost of add-ons per framework or standard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a requirement to become SOC 2 certified in a short period of time and working with a consultancy to help build the framework controls that met our business needs and requirements which then fed into Vanta was a good experience. That's not to say that you couldn't do this yourself, but having someone to help guide you through the process was certainly a value add.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta made it super easy to take us from 0 to SOC2 Type 2 in a small tech startup of 30 people.
Their security policy templates were a very good starting point for our business type (unlike other document templates we've seen before, which were obviously for companies with very different products or in different stages).
They provided a lot of support and patiently answered all of our questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a bit afraid of the lock-in long term. So far we're happy with the platform and the team, but I imagine that changing a vendor in the future might be prohibitively hard.

It continuously monitors our compliance with security policies, making audits a breeze.

It helps to stay on top of things daily while taking care of security and privacy rules and prepare for audits

Sometimes it refreshes tests slowly and some completed tasks may still show as opened for some period of time, but it's not critical at all, usually everything get resolving during a day or so
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It may look confusing when you just start a business which has to go through the security compliance, byt Vanta makes it much easier by splitting all the activities into several buckets and it's easy to follow once you're properly set up. Also, working with policies and regular tasks/reviews + trainings is much easier with Vanta and its reminders.

What do you like best about the product?
We are using Vanta on a day to day to monitor any discrepancies within our environments, and to ensure constant compliance with SOC2 objectives. The implementation of Vanata was quick, all integrations could be done internally using the application user interface which guide the user through the process. Vanta offers a multitude of integrations that simplify the capture of the information required to achieve certification. We use it to measure the compliance of our processes and technological environment in achieving SOC2 certification. In addition to the automation aspect of capturing evidences, Vanta offers several auditing firms the ability to access our evidence in order to accelerate
audits. We are then able to select an audit firm specialized in SOC2 and also to use Vanta in their audit process. We are able to obtain support rapidely and a variety of training is available on the training portal.

Currently, Vanta offers everything we need and is easy to use by our technical and non-technical team involved in our SOC2 audit process.

Vanta provides a single glass pane of risks and compliance, simplifying the effort related to information research and validating it.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a great product, saving the company a lot of time (and money). A lot of integrations. A good overview of your compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to dislike. Sometimes it is harder to find a way with auditor how to comment to evidence especially for those that you need to upload list at the beginning and audit choose the samples. But we alse figure out how to do that.

Solving compliance process. Make it easier for us and auditors.

The fact that it creates templates for policies and insures that those policies are applied across the organisation. Also the automated alerts for changes or issues within your organisation to be proactive on your ISO accreditation.

In the UK, the connection to the auditors was not automated, and our auditors have not been trained on Vanta
