Simple Easy to Use GRC Tool that Makes Sense
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides what you need for GRC in a simple to use application. Implementing Vanta was as easy as getting loging in and getting the integrations set up was super easy. Their customer support has been quick to respond to us and resolve any issues or answer any questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta may not have all of the features some other GRC platforms have but new features are being added regularly.

Vanta provides a GRC platform that, so far, has worked well for our organization.
Great tool for staying on top of compliance
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Vanta for a few years now to stay on top of our Soc2 compliance. I find it to be really great for keeping our documents organized, running regular tests against things like account access, workstation security, code vulnerability, and cloud operations. The support team is always very helpful and has been able to resolve any issues I've brought up. It's easy to integrate with lots of third party tools as well to achieve the aforementioned document organization and compliance tests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I've used it heavily for a few years I've come across a number of bugs in the corners of the application, but each time the support team has been able to help me solve the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a high level I would say that Vanta is helping us maintain our Soc2 compliance year-round, and keeps things organized well for our auditors. It provides many automated checks and reminds us when to review and renew policy documentation. It thus saves us a ton of time and headache from what would otherwise be a pretty challenging task of keeping all of this information organized and up to date. I couldn't imagine doing so without a tool like Vanta.
Excellent Regulatory Compliance Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The organization that provides documentation for regulatory compliance is very useful. The interface is easy to handle and very intuitive, the "starter guide" is an excellent starting point for those of us who had no experience. The integrations are very easy to perform and work as they should. While it is not perfect, the Ilma bot can answer 95% of the questions you have as long as you formulate the question appropriately, it is truly an excellent support tool, and those it cannot resolve are quickly escalated to an operator. The risk assessment system is remarkable, as is the "trust center" that is offered starting from a certain percentage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being part of a Spanish-speaking company, we have encountered a significant limitation when developing policies and documents. At the time of this review, the web interface of the platform is only in English. Although the language can be configured in both the "company" and "my account" sections, this does not change anything in the interface. The main problem this causes is when generating policy templates in Spanish, as we have to invest time in a process to adapt the translation and the meaning of the text to align them with the company. This requires considerable time and must be taken into account when planning progress.
The Vanta agent offered as a solution really cannot be recommended; it would be pertinent to integrate an MDM solution. It takes a long time to acquire the information and only detects encryption by BitLocker.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem for Vanta is the translation of its document templates into Spanish. This creates a considerable extra workload that affects the project timelines. Some exceptions, such as in the case of teams that are encrypted by a solution other than BitLocker, are tedious to complete since the Vanta agent does not detect them.
Easy SOC 2 experience
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to filter by framework so that I could complete all of the items needed for our SOC 2. This was my first time doing a SOC 2 (Type 1) & first time using Vanta. Team was helpful and accomodating. Prescient did audit & they plugged into our Vanta portal without issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot on the portal so I think without instruction, it may not be inherently intiuitive. But once I understood how to navigate the tool, it worked well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us become SOC 2 compliant - Understanding what was needed, templates to use for some of the requirements & tracking completion were all helpful aspects of the tool.
Efficient Compliance and Security Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta simplifies compliance by automating many of the processes needed for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other certifications. The platform is user-friendly, and the real-time monitoring helps ensure our security policies are consistently enforced. Their integration options with tools we already use make the onboarding process smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features can feel a bit complex initially, especially for teams without dedicated compliance experience, but their support team is always responsive and helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta has transformed our compliance journey, the pricing can be a considerable hurdle. It is on the higher end, which may deter smaller organizations from leveraging its powerful features. However, I believe the investment is worthwhile, as it can lead to closing more enterprise deals and ultimately drive increased revenue, making it a strategic choice for companies serious about their compliance efforts.

Vanta effectively addresses the complexities of compliance by supporting over 30 security frameworks and automating up to 90% of the work, which significantly speeds up the certification process.
Great tool for small and medium-sized teams
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is excellent at assembling the massive, chaotic id of various compliance structures (many of which do not have a centralized entity for approval) and presenting the various documents, policies, and controls that must be ironed out in a reasonable, intuitive way. The scope of what needs to be done is massive, but I feel like I am never lost in the mix. Their customer support is also excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI for certain elements could communicate my action items in a clearer way. Sometimes it's hard for me to understand whether I need to upload something, click a certain check box after an internal review, etc.

Vanta helps me put all of our compliance and vendor management requirements in a single basket and do easy re-ups and evaluations.
Complete platform that lacks a few improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is easy to get started with and allows you to achieve your compliance goals with all the available modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Vanta platform is powerful with many features, the problem is that the scores can change overnight without understanding why, which can give a feeling of losing control over the progress of these objectives. Another point, at the beginning many tests/checks are available without the ability to prioritize them according to the best practices of the targeted certification.

Vanta allows us to have a more detailed view of the steps and controls to comply with a certification.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta makes it super easy to manage our commitment to SOC 2 Type II. Since bringing Vanta on board, it has become a central part of our internal tech infrastructure and has fast-tracked the process of building an information security management system without requiring a huge amount of resources. It has automated tests that ping the relevant admins when they need attention, meaning that the responsibility of compliance isn't left to one person. It has a huge amount of integrations available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate an onboarding video explaining how Vanta works for new users who are being added to the product as an admin to explain the nuances of the product, the responsibilities of being a control owner and remove the jargon.

Vanta help has helped us become audit ready and SOC 2 certified. It has built a system that auditors understands and users can easily use.
