It would be nice to see a preview of documents and test that we have to fulfill for other Frameworks that we have not bought yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the documentation requirements for the ISO 27001 were solved for us through documentation of everything directly in Vanta. Especially the mapping between the Tests and Documents with the requirements of the ISO 27001 is very helpful for the certification process.
Effortless Compliance, Intuitive UI
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta because it automates compliance, making that aspect much simpler for me. I really appreciate the UI; it's easy to navigate and work with, which is a big plus. The initial setup was easy, so that's another thing I find great about using Vanta.

I use Vanta for audits as it automates compliance. The UI is easy to navigate, making the tool straightforward to work with.

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Vanta for SOC 2 compliance as it primarily solves the problem of replacing manual spreadsheet-based compliance with automation. It connects directly with my infrastructure like AWS, which is a significant plus. The tool saves me from audit fatigue since I don't have to stop coding for a week just to prepare for auditors. I appreciate that the evidence is already collected, timestamped, and organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations are breadth over depth. They might check if S3 bucket is public, but won't necessarily help with complex multi-cloud logic or niche DB configurations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance, automating manual processes and eliminating the need for spreadsheet-based tracking. It connects directly with my infrastructure like AWS, saving audit fatigue and allowing us to continue coding without interruption.
Covers Compliance Well, but Document Updates Are Tedious and Overly Complicated

It is hard to like a compliance product. I particularly find the document update process to be tedious and overly complicated.

Easy to Use, Great Support, and Helps Divide Tasks Across the Team
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to interact with, and the support is very good. It also helps with dividing tasks across the whole team. super easy to integrate, at least if we using azure

Sometimes they are very persistent, and the company’s pace doesn’t always match the pace of the task (not everything). At times, we need to create new ways of working to keep things moving.

Many Frameworks with Helpful Suggestions and Recommendations

It has many frameworks, helpful with the suggestions and the recommendations.

Great for ISO 27001, But Pricing Transparency Lacks
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta's automated tests a lot, which along with the integrations, add a layer of vulnerability scans for our leadership team. It provides us with great insight into our operations, helping us understand how well we are managing issues and when it's necessary to step in and provide more structure and leadership. The integrations also allow us to collect all scans, including code repositories and Docker containers, in one place. Additionally, the default templates for all necessary policies and automated guidance on preparing for an audit were really helpful as we were new to ISO 27001. This makes the implementation and management of ISO 27001 much smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss Swedish as a locale. And most of the templates are very centralized to USA. They are not always well suited against European or Swedish companies. They aren't always incorrect or breaking any laws but when you read them you get the feeling that this is not for us. One example is the Code of Conduct. It mentions that we are not allowed to bring firearms to the office and things like that. That's not a thing in Sweden. We have very strict rules and laws for things like that. But actually what I think is the worst about Vanta is their business model. All prices are hidden and you need to negotiate every detail or every feature that you would like access to. Sometimes the Account Managers take time to answer. And it just feels that even if I get a great deal according to them I feel tricked. My mind always thinks that I may have gotten a better price if I started differently. Am I paying too much? How do I know that? The thing that they don't have clear list prices and that I can't enable new features without also booking a meeting with an Account Manager is probably what may make our company pick another tool instead of Vanta next time it's time to renew our agreements.

I use Vanta to implement and manage ISO 27001. It provides great default templates and automated tests, helping prepare for audits by organizing necessary documents. The integrations consolidate all security scans, giving our team insights into vulnerabilities and operational management.
Centralized Compliance Made Easy with Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Vanta makes compliance action-oriented by breaking down high-level requirements into simple, understandable tests and documents that are tracked automatically. The automated tests alongside the traditional documentation give me confidence in our compliance. I find installing integrations mostly easy, and the information updates quickly. The progress bars make tracking progress feel like a game, encouraging me to get to 100% as soon as possible. Vanta integrates with a wide range of tools, and I haven't found any important ones missing. Also, the initial setup was super simple with help from one of their partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if we just don't have it, but patch management is quite annoying and Vanta is always complaining. We have to create or push patches because Vanta detects a lot of vulnerabilities in OS even if the risk is very low to our environment. This is something that could be improved, but it can also be on our end where we need to purchase a new tool and integrate it.
