Great product from a great team
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta puts our security processes on autopilot. They decreased our time to SOC 2Type2 compliance 10x. I'm confident that with a growing hybrid team our security still stays strong.

Sometimes the alerts aren't high priority which can distract

Powerful and Easier than expected
What do you like best about the product?
I run a start-up company and am not a developer, so what I really love about Vanta is the simplicity of setting everything up and how powerful it is in helping to keep on top of information security best practices and standards. Everything has great step by step instructions so I've been able to update cloud provider settings and controls and as a result I can sleep much better at night.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integrations are deeper than others. So depending on your tech stack you'll get more value through some controls than others. If you're AWS / Azure, Google Cloud etc. then no worries. Some of the smaller / newer players are not integrated yet which leaves a bit of a gap. Having said that, I researched the market and Vanta still have the most integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarly, Vanta is helping me to get ontop of our broader information security needs and controls. We have a small development team that is fully focussed on code and quality, which makes it difficult to allocate time for them to set-up various infosec controls. Vanta makes it easy for me to manage these personally and stay on top of everything.

Vanta has helped us achieve and maintain compliance with the SOC 2 standard.

Not sure yet, but seems like the discounted rates do not apply beyond the first year.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta makes my life much easier. It provides warnings for security related issues and then offers step-by-step instructions for remediating them in a reasonable time period. This platform has enabled our company to be SOC-2 compliant with ease and that is a huge deal!
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta regularly sends out summary emails with "items requireding your attention" and when you click on them, most of them have already been remediated. These false alarms cause the summary emails to lose credibility so I usually ignore them which doesn't seem like a great process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is allowing us to maintain Soc2 compliance. Withuot SOC 2 compliance, we would not be able to onboard the majority of our customers. We handle a lot of PII and this warrants careful and thoughtful security practices which Vanta allows us to enact with ease.

User friendly interface, great dept of intergrations to streamline audit preparation, very helpful and responsive support team

I wish that Vanta had more detailed/prescriptive requirements for the controls, but I suppose this is intentional, as the controls are not written in stone. I also wish there as a messaging/comments feature (which their competitor ThoroPass has) to collaborate with your team and your auditor.

Vanta is guiding our journey to SOC2 compliance, which is becoming a necessity for SaaS companies looking to move up-market into enterprise customers.

Easy to use navigation in Vanta.

Support is often slower and replies are received quite late.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves like our very own intranet system where we can keep record of all people, their devices and level of their compliance which is a good things since we dont have to acquire any other system.
Saves you more time than any other tool you've ever used!
What do you like best about the product?
It guides you. You don't need to know all of the intricacies of every compliance framework, just follow along and look like a genious at work. I've done compliance stuff before these types of automation tools existed and it was SOO painful learning it all, I basically gave up. Now it's, dare I say, actually enjoyable because the outcome is so significant (compliance)!

I've been using it for 6 months and can't think of anything yet.

Security compliance enablement for our internal teams, and automation around gap identification.
Overall, a good tool for org wide compliance adherence and certification

Certain modules are not clear in terms actions that are needed to stay up-to-date.
