Vanta has been an incredibly useful tool for the SOC 2 audit process.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how well it is organized and how easy it is to see what else needs to be done to help progress the audit process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta can feel a bit overwhelming at times, but I believe that is more an issue with the audit process than the software presentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is being used to guide us through the SOC 2 Type 2 audit process. It helps manage and organize the process for us as well as connecting us to potential auditors.
Vanta has made tracking compliance drastically easier.

my favorite aspect of vanta is the ease of dashboard navigation

i'm uncertain if it is due to the way we set it up but the lack of a single sign on between vanta and our background vendor CERTN

Streamlined Onboarding and Offboarding: Vanta helps us ensure that employee access and security training are handled consistently. I can easily track who’s completed required training or signed policies.

Pricing: It’s a solid investment, but for smaller HR teams or startups, the cost might be a tough sell without an immediate compliance need.

t centralizes tasks like employee security training, background checks, and policy acknowledgments, which used to be scattered across spreadsheets, emails, and manual follow-ups. Now, we have real-time visibility into who’s completed what, and the system automatically flags issues before they become audit problems.
Vanta is a game changer and the most intuitive platform I've worked with in 20+ years.

Intuitive User Interface: The platform is known for its clean and easy-to-navigate dashboard, which provides a clear overview of compliance status and outstanding tasks. This makes it accessible even for users without a deep security background - like me!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty costly. Worth it in the beginning but maybe after a few hours the cost might be questionable per its value to understanding the compliance framework.

Vanta automates a significant portion of the compliance workload by continuously collecting evidence from a company's integrated systems. This makes the audit process faster and less labor-intensive, helping businesses become audit-ready and maintain compliance with minimal effort.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Vanta incredibly easy and straightforward to set up, which is crucial for our operations. The ability to connect various systems and receive actionable suggestions almost out of the box is a huge advantage. The platform effectively centralizes our compliance efforts, simplifying management and enhancing our efficiency. I find the automatic checks and the AI-driven questionnaire features exceptionally beneficial. Vanta AI stands out as a pivotal tool, and its current and potential use of AI is impressive. The trust center and questionnaire section are extremely useful, enhancing our overall workflow.

Sometimes is not fully clear on the usage and it’s difficult to find things.

I use Vanta to centralize compliance efforts, simplifying policy maintenance and third-party risk management. Its easy setup and automatic checks streamline tasks, while AI features enhance efficiency.

Their customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable, which gave us confidence throughout the audit preparation. Overall, it’s been a smooth and efficient experience.

One area that could be improved is the responsiveness of immediate support. While the team is helpful and knowledgeable, there are times when getting real-time assistance takes longer than expected.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Vanta is the single-pane experience for reviewing and auditing information across your infrastructure and teams. It's provides a nice unified experience for day to day assurance as well as helping with audits and regular reviews.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was always up to date, sometimes resources take a while to reconcile state with Vanta.

Vanta gives me a great inventory overview.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the new AI features of Vanta, and the automated testing of SOC 2 controls based on P&Ps and Documents and Tests uploaded.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some manual work-arounds needed to identify and pull together all assigned tasks, documents, P&Ps, tests, etc, to a business owner.

Vanta helps to centralize risk management and SCO 2 audit readiness, and tracking risk mitigation plans. Makes it much simpler and efficient.
