Great Product/service, with some minor growing issues
What do you like best about the product?
I am a massive fan of compliance management tools, as they do reduce the burden of achieving compliance with specific standards. After trialing a fair amount of them, I have found Vanta offers the best solution across the industry. Its UI is intuitive to drive, and reporting from it is terrific. Also, seeing your alignment with other standards is fantastic; it helps with our planning processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they are growing incredibly quickly, and some of the communication aspect I have come to enjoy from other vendors they seem to be missing, such as active communications about changes or releases, tracking of feature requests, and similiar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the burden of achieving and managing an Information Security Management System across an organisation, allowing me to focus on other security items of value.
SOC 2 made eaasy
What do you like best about the product?
* Turns the entire process of compliance into a digestible checklist.
* Lots of integrations with things like Jira and Datadog.

What do you dislike about the product?
A few minor rough edges, but not too bad. A few filters removed items the auditor checked (SOC2 type 2). Nothing crazy and it didn't cost us the audit or anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Actually good
What do you like best about the product?
Any idiot knows about GDPR by now (and any idiot with a grain of common-sense would've known these things anyway), so those annual required trainings are usually a huge bore on top of the huge waste of time; at least with Vanta, the training videos are actually interesting, so one doesn't mind the waste of time.

Nothing comes to mind.

Efficient path to compliance and trust
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to prioritize and execute the steps necessary to a SOC2 ready business in about 1 month. We utilize their trust report extensively as part of our sales process.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major complaints. My issues with Vanta are just conflated with the resource requirements associated with certification for a small business like Autonix across several platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Vanta, its our own word that we take security seriously. By having a service act as an independent monitor on various aspects of application security, we're able to show our customers how seriously we take it. Bonus shoutout to Ashley and Jarrod who have helped me tremendously when I had questions/needs. True assets!

Pricing: Some users may find the pricing of Vanta.com's services to be on the higher side, especially for smaller businesses or organizations with limited budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta's automation capabilities automate much of the data collection and analysis process and eliminate manual and repetitive tasks, increasing efficiency and accuracy while reducing internal resource burdens. Automated compliance monitoring has also helped us to identify and address potential risks.
Vanta keeps it simple
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use and understand. Most operations don't require consulting documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no iOS application. The web app is very good but it would be helpful to check things on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating compliance checks without needing to manually updating agents on servers or clients. The Vanta client auto-updates and is very well-behaved.
Everything and More
What do you like best about the product?
They understand that customer service needs to be both automated and in-person. Vanta wants you to be successful and will have a person meet with you weekly until it's done. Vanta's Customer Service is comparable to Disney's and I can't think of another company that comes close.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support customer service chat service gets moved to your customer success manager. I'm okay with the transition, but I wish I had been given more of a heads-up about the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is trying to make a SOC 2 compliance system to offset this audit's high cost and slowness. Vanta's system significantly improved the data collection part, which allowed us to get a SOC 2 Type 1 in 30 days.
We needed help with SOC 2 certification
What do you like best about the product?
Helpful support staff, easy to use and understand templates, and a breadth of auditors to choose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations have trouble connecting. The documents are a bit cookie-cutter and not always bespoke to certain small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us get our ducks in a row and gave us a more clear understanding of compliance in general.

The polling rate and API calls are a mess and often hit our API limits.

Great tool and help for SOC 2 certification
What do you like best about the product?
They provided the templates we needed to really hit the ground running with SOC 2 certification. We also liked the periodic meetings to help keep things moving.
What do you dislike about the product?
Off hand, I cannot really think of anything.

Really helping get to our SOC 2 and ISO 27000 certs.
