Vanta is very pricey for what it is.
What do you like best about the product?
It makes the soc 2 compliance process easier.
Soc2 in general is a joke, it's a hurdle you must jump through to seem 'legit'. Vanta makes the compliance process pretty simple, however For 11 K a year or whatever they're charging, it's too much. Other services are quite a bit cheaper that should offer the same quality of tooling.
We're a bit stuck with Vanta just because I can't imagine wasting anymore time on this soc 2 nonsense. Know that whatever tool you chose you're going to be with for a while just because the onboarding process takes a while to get things setup.

It's expensive for what it is. Go with the cheapest thing you can find that automates the reports for your soc 2 auditor. Find an auditor who's easy and cheap.

SOC2 made easy for someone with no compliance experience
What do you like best about the product?
The Vanta team has been kind, accommodating, and patient with us, and giving as much/as little help as we request. They've been great partners throughout our SOC2 compliance process. The platform is intuitive, easy to use, and integrates with nearly every tool we use. As the project manager of our company's SOC2, it's been easy to identify the steps and delegate out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SOC2 process is very unique and tailored to the company executing the compliance framework. I wish Vanta were able to give more direct "advice" since we are new to a lot of the topics around SOC2, but I understand that many of these decisions are things we have to decide on our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us understand all the distinct steps that are required to achieve SOC2, connects us with an auditor partner, and does a lot of the pre-work and thinking for us. It means we can achieve SOC2 compliance in a fraction of the time and make the process a lot more accessible and easy to complete.

Getting all in the same place.

Vanta software has made our compliance journey a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Our favorite feature is being able to pull examples for all the required documents/policies. It makes the process much easier. We used Practical Assurance when we first started, and it was not user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if the document samples would automatically pick up the company name and branding. It's not a deal breaker but would be speed things up!

The onboarding, implementation, and overall support were fantastic. Each team member along the way was extremely knowledgable, organized, and easy to work with.

Hard to say, nothing sticks out. We had a great experience using the platform.

It is a handy platform that helps the compliance manager monitor, track and see all requirements that this or that standard has, with details of what you need to do to complete the certification process.

At this moment, the Vanta agent could not monitor the Linux operation system regarding monitoring hard disk encryption, password manager installed or not.

Vanta help to collect all documents and evidence related to SOC 2 standard requirement, which makes the certification process more easy.

What do you like best about the product?
The workflow integrations with Vanta are incredible with our service providers AWS, Cloudflare, Gusto, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, etc. Vanta provides actionable alerts on how we can quickly remediate any security problems. They also built easy-to-use policies that made it easy for us to speed up our security onboarding. We went through our SOC-2 audit quickly with the assistance of Vanta.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a few different point persons with Vanta at any given time. I've been confused about who is our actual "point of contact". It would have been clearer if our point of contact remained more consistent from sign-up through the onboarding process and during our SOC-2 audit.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta outlines and segregates giant task into smaller tasks and stories which make it easy to plan out, work on small tests, track progress and better outline the project plan and milestones when working towards a security certification.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta is great, I did notice a slight delay in updates when multiple users are working on Vanta, it is very important to constantly refresh and track progress accurately.

Vanta is helping us better understand the requirements that go behind a security certification and allow us to work on it by segregating requirements into a task which are easier to do.
Almost mandatory for small companies to achieve SOC 2
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Vanta, our small company was able to tackle SOC 2 certification without breaking the bank. Their checklists and automation tools were incredibly helpful, and we couldn't have done it without them. Plus, their customer service was quick and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be a bit unclear due to some features being only accessible through an additional paywall.

Vanta helps us achieve and maintain compliance for SOC 2 (and maybe more in the future).
Continuous compliance at ease
What do you like best about the product?
This took continuous compliance to the next level. We are always ready to be audited anytime during the year, as my team and I are continuously alerted on any policy violations. This tool is great for any size GRC team. The Risk Management is now a level up compared to the previous version and helped board members view the risk matrix easy to understand our posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
The access control can be further enhanced, for example there are only two roles, Editor vs Admin. If a team is planning to review a vulnerability, I have to give them a higher privilege such as "Editor. while all they needed was a read-only.

SOC II Compliance was a targeted focus, but we now utilize this tool further for security operations.
