Keeps Me on Task with Standards and Expirations
What do you like best about the product?
It helps keep me on task regarding standards and what is expiring
What do you dislike about the product?
Coming from a very large institution where one or two individuals are generally assigned to use the product full time and manage it. It is a difficult lift when you're only able to work in it part time

It helps me identify standards that I've missed or overlooked
Efficient Security Compliance with Auto Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
I think Vanta is great because it automatically gives suggested fixes for issues. Since we have our stuff connected with AWS and Terragrunt, it provides solutions to issues without us having to dig in and find the answers ourselves for how to fix a security problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's frustrating that when we turn off a test and open something else, it triggers that test to open even if it was already turned off for a different one. It would be nice if it could automatically understand and dismiss any related issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for security compliance and it helps automate policy management for different frameworks. It assigns and auto-creates tickets for security checks, and suggests solutions to fix security issues, saving us from digging for answers.
Effortless Audit Management with Reliable Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Vanta makes presenting evidence to auditors a breeze and how it provides reminders for time-sensitive SLA deadlines, which could be overlooked if managed manually. I like the organization of all the evidence for each framework, which makes audits much easier. I find its automation impressive, as it connects with many of the vendors we do business with. I also enjoy that it integrates with Microsoft InTune and several of our larger vendors, providing near real-time status. The initial setup was very easy, with Vanta's help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can get a little confusing sometimes, hard to remember where everything is located. Maybe it's just personal preference, but a particular dataset would be filed under a different section than I would have placed it under.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to compile and store evidence for SOC2 and PCI DSS audits. It makes presenting evidence easy and helps meet SLA deadlines with reminders. Its organization simplifies audits, and it integrates with vendors for near real-time status.
Simple UI and Strong Test Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Test automation and very simple UI. The Issues/POA&M tracker could be better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating reports could be more impactful. No way to escalate coming due tests or noncompliant controls to GRC team as oversight without changing control ownership

Good compliance tracking in one panel, requires manual effort to get prepped.

Manual effort to get things entered in some cases.

The questionairre tool has been useful. Took some effort to get it set up, but it is saving time now.
Everything You Need for Easy Employee Onboarding and Offboarding in One Place
What do you like best about the product?
Everything I need to do to onboard or offboard an employee is in one easy place -- it tells me what tools have been auto-provisioned or de-provisioned, and which I need to take care of manually. It's easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
I get a lot of system emails/reminders even though I don't use Vanta that often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a tech company, we have LOTS of tools and apps that our employees use, and it's hard to keep track of them all without Vanta.

SOC II, helps me keep an eye on upcoming engineering tests and recurring tests

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Vanta is that I have all the alerts, vulnerabilities, and tests for all my certifications and processes centralized in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like is that some vulnerability fixes take a while to update on the site.

It helps us to be proactive with the evidence we need for each of our certifications.
Vanta Makes SOC2 & GDPR Compliance Tracking Enterprise-Ready
What do you like best about the product?
SOC2, GDPR, and other compliance requirements are really core to us selling into enterprise-grade customers. Going through these approval processes with Vanta and using its tracking capabilities has been really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always clear to me what my strategy should be as an individual leading compliance at my company. I was doing GDPR and a few other things for the very first time, and it did feel a little bit like learning a new language when trying to figure out what was required of me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta has made ongoing tracking and management of my compliance relatively easy for me.
Effortless Compliance, Clear UI
What do you like best about the product?
I love the UI and the concise reports in Vanta because tasks and reports are clear. The regular emails of topics that need to be addressed are very useful. The initial setup of Vanta was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think having a dark mode for the site would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps identify security issues and the need for updating packages. Its UI and concise reports make tasks and reports clear, with regular emails on topics that need addressing being very useful.
