User experience with Vanta is very good.
What do you like best about the product?
1. User Experience.
2. Quick customer support.
3. Includes templates for almost all policies. This helps a lot.
4. Includes "how to" steps for all required tests.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not any big issues, but if they can improve "going back to previous page" functionality, it would be really great. Right now I wander in navigation and every time I have to go back to home page or module-specific page. Not a big issue though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Vanta is providing help in completing our SOC2 compliance.
2. Vanta is also helping organize the work and policies in a systematic way.
3. Our next target in ISO 27001, and Vanta is helping in that as well.

Powerful product with great customer support makes a tedious task simple.
What do you like best about the product?
The customer success team was highly responsive and engaged throughout our SOC2 audit. We also worked with Vanta to complete our HIPAA Compliance. In both cases, the software helped us track all outstanding action items and streamlined our interaction with the auditor.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few instances where we ran into some bugs with the software. In all cases the customer support team resolved any issues right away. We found that the customer success team generally responded to email within a few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to using Vanta I had no experience with SOC 2. Now, having gone through the process, I realize how complex and time-consuming compliance can be. WIthout Vanta, we would have wasted literally hundreds of hours preparing for and completing our audit.
Vanta has made my life so much easier, staying on top of compliance and easy audit process
What do you like best about the product?
Almost all information you need is readily available and constantly updated. Can be used as a medium. Makes the audit process so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much downside. Maybe add in some remediation steps that could be specific per the integration, i.e. go to AWS Config, make sure x, y, and z are set, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is constantly improving its platform. Having one consolidated platform integrated with our systems has allowed us to move faster, create visibility into our program, and automate our controls. From the trust report, risk tracking and enabling policy development with templates custom to the framework, Vanta has created a platform that has made our compliance journey accessible to every team. The customer support and partnership we have received have been top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, it was challenging to integrate the automated tests with Vanta and GCP. However, their product development teams have worked closely with our engineering and security teams to overcome any issues we had, making themselves accessible and ensuring we had a successful onboarding. Vanta is releasing changes with record speed; while new features are a bonus for the long term, the UX can change so often that it can be challenging when working on a system's cross-functional adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a startup, it is almost always about speed. The Vanta platform has allowed Physna to move faster, centralize documentation, and meet its compliance goals and coverage 30% faster than initially planned.

What do you like best about the product?
Providing policy templates saves quite a bit of time. Automating and recording policy approvals for employees, handling security awareness training, and scanning of our integrated assets to let us know of shortcomings is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the policy templating where I had to find and replace a lot of key elements from the policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is making it possible for us to acquire new customers, which will hopefully allow us to receive revenue.
Don't do HIPAA without Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is clean and intuitive; I have a high degree of confidence that Vanta presents us with a comprehensive and up to date checklist to make sure we are compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found an easy view for a task owner to see all the items assigned to them in one consolidated rollup view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can't imagine trying to wrap our heads around all the requirements and stay current with them without using a tool like Vanta. The trust report is awesome.

Some mitigation instructions might need updates because the corresponding product has evolved significantly.

The startup usually uses 10s of online services, the best practices of each product vary, and it takes a lot of time and energy to track all items.
Vanta tracks inventory programmatically, and it's easy for engineers and management to realize where problems lie.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be compliant to launch in US hospitals. Vanta is helping us become compliant as fast as possible.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about Vanta is that I can "set it and forget it." After my organization establishes control policies and SLAs, I can rely on Vanta to prompt the internal owners to follow up on deliverables, meet SLA requirements, and eliminate the human error of forgetting process steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love that Vanta provides daily email summaries of both overdue tasks and upcoming tasks but I wish it was easier to customize the notices. For example, reduce the frequency of monitoring reminders for items that are due soon while maintaining constant alerts for items that are overdue. That would help with noticing new alerts in a timely manner and prioritize follow-up with internal owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When my organization first started using Vanta, I wanted a feature which would allow us to easily create and update a publically accessible report of our compliance achievements. Vanta has added that feature in 2022, with more customization options on the way.
