Good UI / UX, easy to use, clear tasks and reminders

It takes a while for tests to refresh, and sometimes it is difficult to mark tests as inaccurate / to not flag them

Streamlined Compliance and Seamless Automation with Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has been incredibly helpful in streamlining compliance processes and maintaining a strong security posture. The platform’s automated compliance features simplify evidence collection and continuous monitoring, making it far easier to achieve and maintain certifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta has been a valuable tool overall, there are several areas where it falls short. Vendor management, for instance, is limited by the inability for "business owners" to view vendor information—making it difficult to delegate responsibilities effectively. Additionally, the lack of flexible Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) options is frustrating; RBAC is an add-on feature, but it only provides either full admin access or no access at all, with no option for view-only or other granular controls. Another drawback is that SCIM provisioning is only available in the highest pricing tier, which includes little else beyond SCIM and multiple workspaces. This tier structure seems unnecessary—SCIM provisioning would be more appropriately included in the mid-tier, while a separate tier could focus on multi-workspace support for larger organizations. Ticketing integrations generally function well, but attempting to leverage specific tags like “procurement” or “security issue” often leads to issues that Vanta labels as “features” rather than “bugs,” which feels dismissive of practical user needs. These limitations create unnecessary friction in what could otherwise be a streamlined platform.

Vanta helps us efficiently track our certifications and automate evidence gathering, streamlining the compliance process and reducing manual effort. This automation ensures we stay on top of our compliance requirements, making it easier to manage audits and maintain certifications with minimal disruption.
Great Tool to Aid in SOC2 Type 2
What do you like best about the product?
The document templates have helped out a lot. We are getting our organization up and running so we didn't have a lot of the documents needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI is a little confusing but with a little time you figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to achieve SOC2 Type 2 compliance. Our company has tasked a small group of us and given us a smallish budget to do so which means we have to do it ourselves. Vanta helps walk us through all the items needed to achieve compliance
We got certified in record time
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta helped us see which part needed to be actioned on when, which helped cut down time spent getting certified by a big amount. Vanta's tight infrastructure (and other automated) integrations are huge time-savers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always super clear from a user perspective what some tools do. For example the Vanta Agent monitors company issued computers, but what information is queried? And what is this information used for? It's not always clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Be on top of certification and ensuring we're covering enough ground for our IT security.
Easy and automated compliance monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Our favorite feature of Vanta has to be its automated compliance monitoring. It significantly reduces the manual workload, keeping us continuously audit-ready by monitoring our internal systems and security protocols in real-time. The automation in Vanta alerts us of any compliance issues saving us endless hours of manual checks. The comprehensive reporting tools are also invaluable for preparing for audits and demonstrating our compliance posture to customers and stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface, though functional, can feel a bit cluttered at times. Finding specific compliance tasks or navigating through certain sections sometimes takes longer than expected, especially for new team members who aren’t fully familiar with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta gives us the ability to showcase our SOC 2 certifications to enterprise-level contracts.

- performance (e.g. auto-refresh) could sometimes be better
- pricing, Vanta is pretty expensive - different sales reps will communicate different prices

- getting to ISO 27001 certification as quickly as possible.

Managing all kind of Audit on a single platform.

UI & speed of the platform can be improved.

I can manage all of my audits on a single platform.
Ridiculously easy to use.

The most upside part of Vanta is how detailed and easy it is to comply with a step-by-step process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software can sync better with providers such as the Microsoft stack, as the notifications are too quick and the alert is irrelevant as soon as the providers sync up again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to become SOC2 compliant seamlessly and effortlesly.
Good security integration source
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integrations and it has with the other platforms. It's relatively easy to use for a non IT department employee
What do you dislike about the product?
The background check integration doesn't always tie smoothly, but it's easy enough to link it to the correct user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping us to manage the correct things necessary to pass the SOC I and SOC II audits.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has a simple interface to see all the tests to take care of compliance. This view is very important for me to keep things according to compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bug or something. Even after updating all policies according to compliance vanta still shows the polices are out dated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta make is very easy for me to keep everything according to compliance. It provides integrations to all the systems our organization has to date. And It shows all alters and notification in one place. And also highlights the short comes in time to take care of. So that I can cover all aspects of compliance without missing anything.
