An excellent tool for security
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, provides tons of articles and support information on how to optimize for SOC2, integrates all our applications and streamlines complex workflows around security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive, many features that aren't used still show up (can't remove unused functionality to simplify)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing us a framework and support for SOC2 compliance

Sometimes it doesn’t allow full integration with other tools so there can be a lot of manual evidence that is difficult to verify automatically.

As a startup providing enterprise SaaS, we rely on Vanta to ensure our compliance with SOC 2 Type II requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
It automates compliance tasks, integrates well with key systems, and makes tracking audit readiness simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations need fine-tuning, and reporting options could be more customizable. API integrations could be more reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It centralizes and automates our compliance efforts, reducing manual evidence collection and audit prep time. Continuous monitoring also improves visibility into security gaps and helps maintain readiness year-round.
Effortless Compliance with Great Support, But Task Unfolding Can Be Surprising
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy and clear Vanta makes everything, its straightforward to know what the next thing you need to do is. Just about everything is easy to integrate and implement and the customer support is ready to help you if you need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I found a bit bothersome at times; but also I fully understand the reason behind it; was that completing some tasks added more tasks. I understand not wanting to show me that I have 500 things to do at the start. But I don't know if there is some way to convey that by completing task x you will add 5 more tasks without also giving me more anxiety about getting all the tasks complete simulataneously.

Vanta Makes Compliance Effortless and Stress-Free
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is a compliance dream come true. They go miles to make the compliance journey easier
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to identify what I don't like about Vanta. It works extremely well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta does wonders to help us maintain a SOC 2 throughout the year. Vanta collects evidence during the year and prevents a mad dash at the end of the audit window to share evidence with auditors. Vanta also does a great job at vendor management and connecting that to audits. Overall, we are very happy with our Vanta instance and look forward to a continued partnership with them and our auditors.
Great Automation and Onboarding, Needs More GitHub and AWS Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers effective task automation and allows for customization of test frequencies, which I find very useful. The employee onboarding process is well-designed and straightforward. Additionally, I appreciate how easy it is to remediate tasks when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many test automations available for GitHub Enterprise rules, and some tests could be automated more effectively with a stronger AWS integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no need to have a dedicated compliance team. Even if you don't have experience with compliance, you can still achieve any certification.
Clear Task Guidance, But Needs More Direct Links and Examples
What do you like best about the product?
The process is straightforward and easy to understand. I appreciate having clear instructions on how each task should be completed, which makes everything much simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate having more links that direct you to the specific sections that still need to be completed. It would also be helpful to see some examples, if possible.

I am currently preparing for an audit.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta’s automated workflows have cut our security onboarding time in half. It ensures we are following the security protocol we are required to have and gives peace of mind that we are in compliance.

The price of the program is on the higher end.

I find Vanta incredibly useful as our go-to GRC platform. Setting it up was very easy, especially since it tied seamlessly into our Google Workspace, simplifying our authentication practices significantly. The templates provided by Vanta streamlined our policy management process, aiding in spearheading our compliance initiatives all within a single platform. Additionally, the training platform has been integral to successfully administering our Infocyte and secure coding training, ensuring smooth sign-offs. I appreciate having a comprehensive 'one-stop shop' for everything related to compliance and information security, which is advantageous for companies pursuing compliance standards like SOC 2 or ISO. The automation of control testing has optimized our processes, and I find the overall ease of use in implementation remarkable. Moreover, the support team stands out for their exceptional service, always ready to assist by providing clear communication about upcoming products and conducting insightful demos. This supportive interaction reassures us and assists in planning for future budgets. It's all these elements combined that underscore why I value Vanta so highly, leading me to give a top recommendation score.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial experience with Vanta's support team a bit confusing. When we first joined, we had multiple support team members as our primary points of contact, which was somewhat confusing. As a new customer, having a consistent and single point of contact for at least the first six months would have been more beneficial. Although we managed to get through it, the process was initially unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Vanta centralizes our policy management, automates testing, and simplifies compliance, solving previous issues with Dropbox and facilitating easy policy sign-offs and training delivery.
