Easy Policy Management and Tremendous Audit Support
What do you like best about the product?
Managing company policies in Vanta is extremely easy, and the platform provides tremendous support when preparing for audits.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation within the platform is not always intuitive and can make it harder to find specific information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us with SOC Type I and HIPAA, and now assists us with SOC Type II.
Solid, clean, easy tool that gets the job done.
What do you like best about the product?
Immediate updates on both new security issues and remediations. The ability to manually kick off checks is actually a big plus, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Vanta had clearer instructions on how to resolve issues, such as container vulnerabilities. We're a small team without dedicated security or devops resources, so some extra context and "big picture: here's why this is bad and here's exactly how to remedy it" would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's keeping us compliant with our security and customer obligations. It's the simplest tool to get that done.
Robust Compliance Tool, Needs UI Revamp
What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta for staying compliant with our systems and updating security best practices and processes. I appreciate its wide support on multiple clouds and how it helps with staying compliant with the audit and its frameworks. I find the vulnerability scanning feature particularly valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the dashboard is pretty outdated and needs to be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to stay compliant with systems and update to security best practices, solving security updates and SOP issues. It helps with compliance frameworks and supports multiple clouds, and I value its vulnerability scanning a lot.
Streamlined Compliance, But Needs Better Resource Management
What do you like best about the product?
I think Vanta has a very good onboarding process because it guides you step by step and explains what you should focus on. It makes setting up the platform and preparing for an audit straightforward. I find that audits through Vanta are much lighter than standard audits where the auditor comes on-site and spends a full day with you. Vanta saves me a lot of time by automatically gathering evidence.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I work on large organizations, it's difficult to scope properly the resources that will be pulled in by Vanta. So at the end, I spend a lot of time excluding resources from my tests because I couldn't scope the connection properly in the first place. Also, filtering on many pages does not work properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps structure my compliance program by ensuring I don't miss tasks, automates evidence gathering, builds customer trust, simplifies audits, and distributes work by assigning controls to the right people.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Vanta simplifies our HR Security workflows by automating onboarding requirements like background checks and training, and it tracks offboarding tasks to maintain a clean security posture. It's great for simplifying our hiring process, especially with quick background check services that work well for international employees. I appreciate how easy it is to centralize policy documentation and configure custom SLAs, ensuring every new hire signs off on time, which helps during security audits. Vanta acts as a complete system for managing our security posture, making the employee lifecycle smoother and keeping us audit-ready without the manual spreadsheet fatigue. I find the integration capability impressive, as it flagged shadow IT apps we weren't aware of, which tightened our security perimeter. The self-guided setup was clear enough that we could connect our integrations and get our first GRC program running smoothly on our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using Vanta for a while, and lately, it feels like the platform is getting more complex, what used to be simple now feels a bit cluttered with all the new features and layers of navigation.

Vanta is our source of truth for policy management, automates HR security workflows, simplifies onboarding, tracks offboarding tasks, centralizes policy documentation, and ensures we stay audit-ready without manual effort.

I like that Vanta is easy to use and organized. It sends me alerts and updates, which I find helpful. Plus, it's easy to navigate. The initial setup was seamless and super easy.

Honestly, there's too many emails. Too many follow-up emails. Too many just too many emails.

Vanta keeps us organized, tells us what we need to do, organizes our policies, and ensures our employees are HIPAA compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the centralized storing feature in Vanta, as it really helps streamline controls and makes it easier for teams to know who manages what, compared to something like Google Drive. I also appreciate the document ownership aspect, which aids in knowing responsibilities better. Additionally, I find the Slack integration useful for notifying employees of trainings and alerting document owners when items are up for renewal or due.

I like the support from Vanta. The automation of the questionnaires is also helpful as it supports the employees and makes the processes faster and better.

I don't find the group distribution at Vanta very good.

Vanta assists with audits, training, onboarding, monitoring, and certifications, and reduces overhead with employees. The automation of questionnaires supports employees and accelerates processes.
