Vanta Makes My Compliance Work Way Simpler
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta shows what’s done and what’s still left to do, like a checklist. It helps me follow rules without needing to ask others all the time. Everything feels clear and neat, which I really like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get alerts that feel too tiny to worry about. It would be nicer if I could change more things my way. And a few tasks are still a bit slow to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta makes it easier to keep our company on the right track. It saves me from digging through emails and folders for proof. Now I can do my job faster and help others understand what’s needed too.
Great for Commercial, Still in Progress for Federal
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has a great user interface that makes working on daily audit framework tasks (uploading policies, evidence, etc.) much easier and navigable than competitors.
Getting started with the platform is also easier than most, since the user only needs to select their security framework of choice and the controls are pre-populated. What's also really useful is the availability to reuse evidence from one framework to another, without having to re-upload or re-request the information from the team that provided it.
Our team has made use of customer support frequently, who have been helpful, knowledgeable, and able to answer nearly all of our questions right away. For those which they don't immediately know, they usually take less than a week to answer.
Compared to other vendors, I would rank Vanta amongst the easiest to use and collaborate with a team on.

What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, Vanta is not FedRAMP certified, but is going for an ATO level of 'Low'. While a good idea to become ATO, most companies who are working with federal customers are either 'Moderate' or 'High'. I would encourage the Vanta team to continue with FedRAMP certification beyond simply the self-certifying first level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Vanta to maintain compliance with SOC 2, ISO, and other security frameworks which require ongoing engagement.

It is intuitive and easy to use. The UI is clean and it does the job it is supposed to.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Vanta keeps our data safe without me doing much. It watches everything and makes sure our records stay clean. That helps me focus on the money stuff not the tech worries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it gives alerts that feel too small to matter. A few steps are hard to understand without help. I think the layout could be easier for non-tech people like me.

Vanta makes sure our financial info doesn’t get lost or messed up. It tells me if something isn’t right so I can fix it before it’s a big deal. Now I feel more relaxed knowing our data is being looked after all the time.

Some modules are a bit pricey and should ideally be included in the plans by default, but other than that, no additional concerns so far.

Vanta helps us automate and stay on top of our SOC 2, HITRUST, and GDPR compliance efforts. It saves us time by tracking evidence and controls across systems, integrates smoothly with our cloud and security tools, and keeps us audit-ready year-round. As a healthcare analytics company, we also value its vendor risk and audit management features, which simplify complex processes and reduce manual work.

There have also been complaints about issues with billing (such as unauthorized charges and difficult cancellation procedures due to strict contract clauses)
