Effortless Compliance, Clear UI
What do you like best about the product?
I love the UI and the concise reports in Vanta because tasks and reports are clear. The regular emails of topics that need to be addressed are very useful. The initial setup of Vanta was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think having a dark mode for the site would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps identify security issues and the need for updating packages. Its UI and concise reports make tasks and reports clear, with regular emails on topics that need addressing being very useful.
Brings Focus and Transparency to SOC 2 Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta for our first SOC 2 and it really helps with the problem of multiple priorities by bringing focus, visibility, and transparency across the compliance effort. I like the easy to understand guidance for each SOC 2 control. I also appreciate our CSM. They are knowledgeable in the compliance space as well as the Vanta platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The morning "Vanta summary" email sometimes flags items that are not relevant to our SOC 2 effort. In the Engineering Summary section, my email says "16 tests need attention on Tests". When I click on the hyper-link, I am brought to a Vanta menu showing these failing 16 tests. However, most of those tests are not part of the SOC 2 framework. Once I filter on SOC 2, only a couple of those failing tests are relevant to our compliance framework.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps solve the problem of multiple priorities by providing focus, visibility, and transparency in our compliance effort.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta to monitor compliance with the SOC2 framework, and its audit view really helps in getting SOC2 certified. Vanta is like a single pane of glass for risk and compliance, simplifying evidence collection with a robust list of integrations and easy-to-follow templates. I especially like the integration support, as our tech company uses many tools, and they integrate well with Vanta. Access reviews in Vanta are crucial for ensuring our employees have the correct access they need. The initial setup of Vanta was extremely easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attestation support could be improved, for instance using a tool that doesn't have an integration. If we could write an attestation instead of deactivating a test that would be helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Vanta is really user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and understand complex audits. The notifications are great too; they alert us when items need to be completed, which helps our team keep up with audit requirements without missing anything important. The initial setup of Vanta was very easy and quick.

I think it could be improved by making it quicker to log in without a magic link.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it's structured, which allows to have different frameworks while mapping similar controls and gathering the evidence only once. This helps having all the information centralized in one place, reduce time and effort to check security controls and gather the necessary information for auditors to review during assessments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features still need improvement, for example, the Access Request and Access Review tools. These are helpful but sometimes require manual work.

What do you like best about the product?
It connects directly to our stack (Google Workspace, GitHub, Slack) and pulls the data automatically. It doesn't just "check" a box; it provides the timestamped proof auditors need without you lifting a finger.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta excels with "standard" stacks (e.g., Google + Jira + Slack). However, if your tech stack is more niche or complex, you may hit limits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is primarily solving the problem of manual compliance, which historically has been a "paperwork nightmare" that drains time from engineering and security teams.
Seamless SOC 2 Readiness with Powerful Automation and Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Vanta is how it takes the daunting SOC 2 Type II readiness process and makes it seamless. Its so helpful to have our systems integrated with Vanta for evidence collection and ongoing monitoring of controls. We have also found a ton of value in managing our policies in Vanta and using Vanta's pre-made trainings for our employees. Additionally, Vanta's questionnaire automation feature has saved us countless hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could improve is the questionnaire automation for complex Excel sheets or questionnaires that we aren't able to export out of existing systems. Sometimes the Excel sheets that have multiple tabs or drop downs with unique answer choices are harder to automate and map the appropriate fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Vanta solves is the complexity around compliance and SOC audits, specifically. Vanta provides a path to completing SOC audits and remaining compliant year round that is easy to follow and is a huge time saver.
Vanta Makes Certification Clear, Easy, and Understandable
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is a very easy and clear to use certification platform and they made the process understandable and easy to digest.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their product is so interwoven into the certification process that some things are not clearly defined as required or not as they tend to sometimes inject "good ideas" or "recommendations" into the attestation process. This is confusing as to what is absolutely required for the attestation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is solving security policies and procedures for our company which in turn makes us more marketable to a wider range of customers.
Automated Security and Compliance at Its Best
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Vanta helps maintain security and compliance in an efficient, automated way. I like that it helps with security compliance automation, continuously monitoring systems and processes to meet standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA. Vanta's ability to track security policies is a plus for me. Additionally, I value the security training it provides. The initial setup of Vanta was easy for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more animated explanations in the FAQs and topics.
