Vanta speed-boosted our compliance program, achieving SOC2 within months
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's deep integration network automates the majority of evidence needed to achieve compliance and we were able to easily implement all integrations during onboarding. The intuitive platform quickly gets you the rest of the way for the remaining manual work. Customer support response time was always super snappy. Having direct visibility into compliance progress, continuous monitoring, risk analysis, vendor tracking, and policy collaboration satisfies nearly all of our business requirements and gives us peace of mind while operating a fintech with the highest security standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SOC2 audit process and pricing was seamless. We only wish that the other frameworks they offered were as easy and straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us satisfy SOC2 compliance and regularly benefits us by drawing attention to items that need to be remediated.
Painless Audit Preparation
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is layed out well and intuitive. Its interface allowed me to get it setup quickly so I could start collecting evidence.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI in Security reviews and Risk seems a bit intrusive and over-relied upon at times but works well. If I could suggest a change, it would be an optional area to add notes without have to upload into evidence but still be a finding. Low to Mid threat Vendors do not always need a full security review, but I would still like to submit findings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accumulating information from multiple MDMs and keeping it aligned.
One-stop shop for Compliance to most laws and standards!
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of automation and integrations. Making everything easy to track. UI pretty self explanatory, easy to navigate. Very well tailored to SMBs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Passing an audit is a complex process. Although Vanta simplifies it by a lot, you can't really send non-security people alone in Vanta without some support, contrary to what can be read online sometimes.

Get rid of screenshots and spreadsheets for maintaining certifications

Our account managers have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful when we've had questions about the production, or about certification in general.

Navigation can be confusing at times between tests and policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting processes and gathering artifacts for compliance can be overwhelming without a tool like Vanta. The alerts as your vector of third-party (and first-party) dependencies change are extremely helpful to stay compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
As a small startup Vanta helped us achieve compliance quickly and efficiently without spending an inordinate amount of time on the process. Vanta made the process very clear, and guided us through the process well. The dashboard is decently organized and helped us see at a glance how close we were to be ready for audit. For a small team Vanta helped us stay on top of any requirements without feeling overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I disliked about Vanta was that some of the integrations felt a bit clunky and weren't as seamless as I had hoped. There were moments when they required extra effort to set up or troubleshoot, which slowed down the process. With a bit more polish, those integrations could have been smoother and more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped make our security compliance as a small startup less of an ordeal. It enabled us to move fast, and achieve SOC2 compliance quickly. We did not previous experience of dealing with SOC2 compliance, and the guided nature of Vanta really helped us get there quickly. We likely wouldn't have been able to move anywhere near as fast without Vanta. Being able to see at a glance where we were in the process and each step we had to do was invaluable.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the structured guidance and the step-by-step of what is needed. Rather than just saying "hey here is what you need to do", they provide that extra level of guidance. The automated status tracking is also very helpful.
Implementation was easy with pre-set integrations. Customer support has been thumbs up. Now that we are under audit, it's easy to check-in and make sure we're 100% on track.

What do you dislike about the product?
They have a lot of built-in upsells, but they are all very fair and it's clearly extra value beyond what I knew I was signing up for.

Helping us meet all the requirements to be SOCII audited and HIPAA compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that it has all the rules setup to track and make sure I am in complaince. It makes my job a lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had all of the controls for ISO 27701. They left out 5 and this made our first internal audit rather tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We sought out Vanta when going for our ISO 27001 certification to make sure we were doing all of the right things. We are in our 3rd year of use and so grateful to have found this product. I wih it was better advertised so it was known as a resource.
Expansive and complete solution for SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Wow, everything is there! I can't imagine how much time and effort would have been wasted by not using Vanta for SOC2 compliance. Everything that we need is right there. It was extremely easy to integrate our vendors, evaluate compliance and remedy findings. Security reviews are a breeze, and configuring scopes for each vendor integration was intuitive and straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some vendors that could not be integrated into Vanta, but very few. Our account manager at Vanta was able to assist us in gathering data for those.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily chose Vanta for the purpose of becoming SOC2 compliant. It has helped in other areas as well, and allowed us to refine our business practices, and become more efficient with respect to seurity compliance and vendor management.

Not enough customization options. Often requires workarounds for basic features you would expect

Difficult to navigate unless you have link to exact item. I just feel like I have a million tabs open on my browser sometime.
