What do you like best about the product?
Everything laid out simply. Easy to get the hang of and multiple automated tests.

Not all vendors have plug ins for it .. YET!

What do you like best about the product?
Can't imagine getting SOC2 without Vanta. Helps a lot with docs and policy generation and had integrations with every tool we had

The cost of the tool is higher than competitors, but probably worth it

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is a very easy to use and the level of support available is great. It is easy to use for people without much of a background in security and provides you with a detailed step by step process of what needs to be done to meet your compliance requirements. The policies and documents sections are easy to setup, track and maintain. Onboarding and offboarding process is also streamlined through Vanta from a security standpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area of improvement can be if I can automate some of the mandatory to dos for new joinees instead of manually creating those alerts for them to complete the required tasks will be great.

What do you like best about the product?
Its a great way to kick-start your journey to compliance with security standards like ISO27001 or SOC 2 Type 2. Vanta helps you design policies and stay compliant through automation and demonstrate it through trust center.
I make heavy use of its vendor risk management as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
The vendor risk management assumes that your vendors are mainly SaaS and so there is some awkwardness with out of the box questions when they are not (e.g. an MSP).
The API isn't fully featured so if you want to do a bespoke integration yourself, you may run into API restrictions and will need to use a "glue" system as only official integrations are pull, your own via API will be a push.

Comprehensive Platform, Needs Better Vulnerability Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I love Vanta for its great user interface, which makes the platform super easy to use. It's our primary GRC platform for vulnerability tracking and supports our other security programs, making it invaluable for our certifications and accreditations. The ease of setting it up was a major plus, allowing us to quickly start utilizing its features. Vanta is beneficial as it helps map our controls to relevant ISO or SOC 2 standards, supporting us in achieving necessary certifications for customer needs. I find the ability to manage multiple streams of work, such as vulnerability tracking and control tracking, in one platform very useful. The integration with other software like AWS, GitLab, and Jira enhances our workflow, allowing seamless coordination. The all-in-one usability of Vanta, where multiple streams of work are incorporated into one platform, is incredibly beneficial for our operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the vulnerability tracking system within Vanta problematic. There are multiple inaccuracies and questionable aspects in the way vulnerabilities are displayed on the front end. Although the backend service seems fine, the front-end display does not accurately represent the data, which can be quite misleading. Additionally, even after raising a support ticket regarding this issue, there hasn't been a resolution for quite some time.

I use Vanta for vulnerability tracking and to aid our certifications. It helps manage controls for ISO or SOC compliance, simplifying our accreditation process. Its all-in-one platform for control and vulnerability tracking, and questionnaires enhances efficiency and usability.
Vanta makes ISO27001 compliance painless
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta brings all the controls, tests, policies, and risks together in a well structured and integrated approach to make compliance to cyber security frameworks much easier. The large suite of third party integrations automates lots of the controls and tests. The vendor risk management component is also excellent. We could not be happier using this service on our ISO 27001 journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
More integrations would be helpful. There are a lot but some smaller services are not yet connectable.

We have chosen to be ISO 27001 certified. Vanta is enabling this.

What do you like best about the product?
Using Vanta ERM tool has been extremely helpful to design and prepare for SOC2 audit for our organisation. They have AI powered tools to design various documents and policies along with automated Risk register and their mitigation controls

More advise and interaction from Vanta team for inperson guidance for audit prepartion could be appreciated more

Getting lost in a Matrix
What do you like best about the product?
The concept is great - a platform to help gain and maintain compliance. Bringing auditors into the platform is an excelletn idea too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've known about Vanta for a long time now as they are a sponsor on the This Week in Startups Podcast which I listen to regularly. So when I was tasked to work on our SOC 2 compliance I was expecting something easy and slick to use as the advert suggested. But I've struggled to use it with confidence. Disclaimer: its possible Vanta is targetted at someone with a compliance background (I'm a software engineer in a small startup) in which case its possibly a great solution but for someone coming in "cold" I struggled. Perhaps this is just the nature of the Complaince "beast" but I wonder if it could be mitigated by including some sort of Compliance 101 type training material.
I basically use it by "filling in the gaps" and hoping to see the progress indicators move to the right. There's this matrix of dependencies between Tests, Controls, Policies, Documents which I've struggled with - changes in one can have flow on effects with others, but I spend time bouncing around the screens trying to decide "what next".
