What do you like best about the product?
Automation (tests) as well as templates for manual uploads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Gusto is a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be compliant to launch in US hospitals. Vanta is helping us become compliant as fast as possible.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about Vanta is that I can "set it and forget it." After my organization establishes control policies and SLAs, I can rely on Vanta to prompt the internal owners to follow up on deliverables, meet SLA requirements, and eliminate the human error of forgetting process steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love that Vanta provides daily email summaries of both overdue tasks and upcoming tasks but I wish it was easier to customize the notices. For example, reduce the frequency of monitoring reminders for items that are due soon while maintaining constant alerts for items that are overdue. That would help with noticing new alerts in a timely manner and prioritize follow-up with internal owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When my organization first started using Vanta, I wanted a feature which would allow us to easily create and update a publically accessible report of our compliance achievements. Vanta has added that feature in 2022, with more customization options on the way.

What do you like best about the product?
Working with Vanta on new purchases and renewals has been an incredibly seamless process, and they can always help customers grow organically as their product is a market leader.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much that can be said about the downfalls/cons of Vanta. They are a market leader and know it, so competitors entering the space might be able to get competitive with rates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is solving the problem of having automated security and compliance practices. Customers benefit from the cost and time savings that Vanta brings

Great software for SOC-2 & HIPAA compliance tracking

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track our SOC-2 and HIPAA compliance/progress through an easy-to-use web-based interface. It helps break down the many aspects of SOC-2 into manageable tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The employee onboarding & offboarding process is a bit tricky when integrated with Microsoft 365. The employee is marked as requiring onboarding the moment the account is created; I wish there was a way to define a delay in that being triggered, maybe 1-3 days. As soon as an account's access is blocked, Vanta triggers the account as needing offboarding as well; I am unsure of a way this can be improved, but this isn't very smooth either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Greatly improving the ease of maintaining our SOC-2 compliance. During our annual audits, we can simply refer to actions taken in Vanta. This has reduced the workload during our SOC-2 audits.

Great account management support that overlays a great tool to help track and complete certification

What do you like best about the product?
We have used the Vanta tool to become certified against the ISO27001 standard. Those who are planning to or have undertaken this epic will know how onerous the task is. After reviewing different options (including external consultants), we found the Vanta solution to be very innovative. The fact that the tool helps to monitor and practically map out the steps required to meet the standard is useful and motivating.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the non automated tests/proofs audit trail back to Policy more challenging to track. It would be great if there was a way to tag these to help make them more easy to identify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool is practical and intuitive to use which gives transparency to the stakeholders and a clear 'to do' list to those tasked with implementing the infrastructure to achieve compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's application integrations and ease of use are great!
What do you dislike about the product?
They didn't integrate with one of our applications but were able to provide excellent comparable options still.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a compliance automation tool that would allow us to use the policies we have in place to meet standards for security in multiple areas.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability of Vanta to integrate directly with our tech stack. Once you get your disparate tools connected to Vanta, using the platform is a breeze. Additionally, the built-in Vanta agent is lightweight and can provide some helpful reporting capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just wish there was a HITRUST module. We've been told HITRUST is on the roadmap; however, we would like to see that capability ASAP. Also, it seems like Vanta is continuously releasing new functionality, so the product changes often, but that's also a positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Achieving SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance. Additionally, Vanta has helped strengthen our overall information security program by providing a consolidated view of risks across the organization.

Nothing, Vantas platform is honestly awesome and we can see us using them for a very long time.

Everything is automated, with no documents or human touch.

There were some technical difficulties with the Datadog integration.

Successfully completing SOC2/ISO certifications in an automated, clear fast, and collaborative manner.
