What do you like best about the product?
Alert Monitoring in the period and Audit Evidence Gathering
What do you dislike about the product?
The Risk Assessment function in v1 and v2 was too simplistic. Hope v3 is better.

Vanta made things faster and easier.
What do you like best about the product?
Using Vanta made the SOC2 process easier and faster with using their platform. Our lead, who had done this process at previous companies, said using Vanta made the process faster and easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if there are any downsides to using Vanta! You could do some of this on your own, which may save money, but you would spend a lot of time that could likely be better spent elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Their platform lets you easily see what areas need to be addressed to comply. It tracks progress in all of these areas and provides a tool to quickly get the rest of your organization on board to do what they need to do.
SOC 2 Readiness
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has helped our company build a strong security program by showcasing the standard security compliance expectations to best serve our customers. We have successfully completed our first SOC 2 observation and the platform has made it simple to track employee compliance, automated monitoring, and now with a Trust Report option, provides our prospects and customers a go-to place for up to date compliance while reducing the back and forth communication that could potentially become blockers in some instances.
What do you dislike about the product?
Assigning ownership to various controls has been a bit confusing. One tab shows controls being assigned, while a few days later, a different area has unassigned controls appear when I thought they had all been taken care of. I would prefer to see this all in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us solve our SOC 2 readiness and continuous monitoring. This has been helpful to maintain up to date records of our systems and security program and has proven to be useful in building trust with customers.
Engaging and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the layout of Vanta, as the project management process is much more straightforward than the others I reviewed. The breakdown of the tasks and the progress tracker works v well
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see their range of integrations broaden in some areas with a potential open API integration possible to allow for the more varied tools out there to bbe incorporated into the automation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta has given us definite and continual oversight of our security processes throughout our ecosystem. It has also taught us best practice c-suite methods, which we have incorporated into our organisation. The clear oversight of the compliance process has also given us an end-goal driven approach to what previously felt like an unwieldy and neverending task
Vanta reduces risk every day and keeps compliance on schedule.

Integrations that monitor the platform infrastructure, employee computers and critical systems we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Real-time monitoring is a double-edged sword. Compliance alerts interrupt plans and schedules, but they ensure controls are fixed quickly, and risk is reduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta allows us to scale. The integrations, monitors and checklists give us the coverage we need to manage security controls, audits and effective GRC.
Strong customer support, compliance explanations & automation options. User interface looked great!

All of the alerting & monitoring tools were helpful. The direct integrations with security administration, AWS & Google worked perfectly

We started out going for both SOC2 + PCI , but later changed to just PCI. However, many of the SOC2 items stayed in our UI which confused us repeatedly

Lack of full time legal team & first line of answering compliance questions on consistent, reliable basis.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to connect, monitor and maintain our deployment tools such as Github, AWS and Jamf keeps us up to date and on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that they are always developing and adding on to their product. This is also a positive as they seem to be agile enough to quickly respond to feature requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has saved us time and money and provided us with policy guidance and ongoing procedure maintenance. Vanta offers policy and procedure templates that can be easily leveraged to develop the just the right policy that my company needs.

Structured process/roadmap and system to obtain SOC 11 certification

Have not encountered any issues-we are using outside consultants to facilitate the process

What do you like best about the product?
I am a financial controller in a startup, and Vanta helped me lead the SOC2 preparation smoothly, even without a security or engineering background. Efficient implementation and support teams. Clear UI. Priceless connection with auditors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features I needed were still under development, and it took some effort to find temporary workarounds (I have to admit that the Vanta support team also helped with the short-term solutions for these gaps).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It became an effective way to cover SOC2 compliance monitoring for the company. Saved time to get ready for the SOC2 Type 2 audit. Connected us with the auditors.
