What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing: Some users may find the pricing of Vanta.com's services to be on the higher side, especially for smaller businesses or organizations with limited budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta's automation capabilities automate much of the data collection and analysis process and eliminate manual and repetitive tasks, increasing efficiency and accuracy while reducing internal resource burdens. Automated compliance monitoring has also helped us to identify and address potential risks.
Vanta keeps it simple
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use and understand. Most operations don't require consulting documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no iOS application. The web app is very good but it would be helpful to check things on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating compliance checks without needing to manually updating agents on servers or clients. The Vanta client auto-updates and is very well-behaved.

What do you like best about the product?
They understand that customer service needs to be both automated and in-person. Vanta wants you to be successful and will have a person meet with you weekly until it's done. Vanta's Customer Service is comparable to Disney's and I can't think of another company that comes close.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support customer service chat service gets moved to your customer success manager. I'm okay with the transition, but I wish I had been given more of a heads-up about the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is trying to make a SOC 2 compliance system to offset this audit's high cost and slowness. Vanta's system significantly improved the data collection part, which allowed us to get a SOC 2 Type 1 in 30 days.

What do you like best about the product?
Helpful support staff, easy to use and understand templates, and a breadth of auditors to choose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations have trouble connecting. The documents are a bit cookie-cutter and not always bespoke to certain small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us get our ducks in a row and gave us a more clear understanding of compliance in general.
Great tool and help for SOC 2 certification
What do you like best about the product?
They provided the templates we needed to really hit the ground running with SOC 2 certification. We also liked the periodic meetings to help keep things moving.
What do you dislike about the product?
Off hand, I cannot really think of anything.

Really helping get to our SOC 2 and ISO 27000 certs.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta keeps the client organization on target and organized. Vanta is best used with a project manager to keep the company focused and on target. Vanta uses a 1st level manager for the initial training and compliance issues. Vanta uses a 2nd level manager to complete the project. Vanta will also recommend various auditors but will not allow your company to undergo the audit until the company is ready. The company can interview the auditor candidates and make the final selection of the auditor. Be aware that after the first Type1/2 audit is complete, the company can always change auditors. Vanta did prepare us for the audit and made the audit as minimally painful as possible. Obviously, for the first audit, there may be considerable anxiety, but the Vanta staff did give us the confidence to make it through the audit successfully.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta is a well-oiled machine. I have nothing that I dislike about Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta kept my company organized and focused on obtaining SOC2 audit.
Best in the business
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta features an intuative interface, great controls and policy templates to get started. Meters which show your completion among several compliance standards helps motivate completion. Integration with a variety of cloud vendors is great and uniquely Vanta tailors its monitors to your cloud, so if your on GCP all the controls map to GCP, not all clouds, which makes life easier. Also, unlike compeditors, Vanta has a great risk management module built in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thats a hard one, Vanta is head and shoulders above the competition. My only nit-pick might be that I'd like to create my own custom monitors... the platform has a good API and you can upload your own evidence but thats not the same as a "monitor" which continiously updates with your readiness status. But I'm also told this feature is coming in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is a solid, easy-to-use GRC platform with a lot of automation baked in with no effort to deploy and a good set of partners for setting up your audit. Unified mapping among multiple compliance frameworks helps reduce future effort.
Compliance made easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has great policy templates for an organization to start its compliance journey. The integrations are the key to success, eliminating 90% of repetitive manual tasks for us. The monitors ensure that we remain compliant. The auditor network dramatically simplifies the audit process, as auditors only need to ask about exceptional situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pricey! The ability to have clickable links in custom checklist tasks would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company needed to improve its compliance posture. Vanta helped organize all elements of the compliance process, including policies and controls and ensured all systems were compliant.
Happy customer for 3+ years
What do you like best about the product?
SOC2 is an industry standard, though until Vanta there wasn't a standard way of getting it. We found immense value in closing deals by offering up our SOC2 stamp of approval. Additionally, as a growing company, it has been vital to ensure we're keeping and monitoring best practices internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much bad to say. The solution truly works as stated. The biggest issue we are running into is that as the product suite grows and we get more excited about new products to take advantage of, we are finding ourselves needing a person to actually own the Vanta platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Vanta to keep our internal security in check, ensure all new hires undergo the appropriate training, and understand why certain security tactics are essential. We also appreciate the SOC2 stamp of approval Vanta gives us, which helps us in sales.
Fast lane to compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is making policy management and compliance requirements management painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the technical integrations need a bit of tweaking to pull in the right data.

Vanta solves policy versioning and approval management for me, which gives me time back.
