I would highly recommend the tool to my security peers.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the regular catch up with Vanta where I can cover SLAs and other issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Vanta comes with default settings. As the company, we must set our standards and configure the tool. This is not always well communicated by Vanta or internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is used to confirm compliance to standards such SOC2, ISO 27001 and other data regulation.
Easy set up, best in class support
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy to is to manage our SOCII compliance. One of my favourite new features is being able to assign owners to each requirement. This way I know who to follow up with and the person who is responble is able to sort their responsiblities with a few clicks - which is great to get rid of the noise. We have our own policies in place, but I do know that Vanta has some broad policies that a company can customize and use, great if you are working towards security complaince and don't have someone to support all the writing - cuts down on the time. Integrations are great! I use it with Kandji so it's all automated. I also some other profiles for users who have thier own computer where I was able to add specific instructions on how download the agdent or upload the supporting douments. I've also integeated KNowb4 so I no longer have to go into two applications to check if the work has been done - Oh I love saving time. Their support team gets back to requests in a few hours! HOURS and they are always so helpful and are able to communicate with highly technical and the less technical. Our CSM is amazing - we have built a great relaptions and she doesn't spam me with updates, we have check-in's and she is great at sharing new relases and helping me communicate the benefits to the team which most the time are "hey - set this up cause it'll make your job easier" who does want that? Vanta's email frequency are spot on, not to much not too little - I actually am able to reach the updates and I love that they include video updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to dislike about Vanta, but they did recenetly perfom an update and it added some extra clicks to get to the tests page. When I reached out to my CSM and told them - she gave me a work around on how to find it, all I did was make a slight to change to my URL and I was back in business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is making staying compliant easier especially with the integrations. Because of the integrations, I can view everything with in the Vanta platform and only if I need particular information on why something isn't done (such as annual security training) I then need to log in. Vanta helps us ensure we are secure from our platform side so when we do have our audit, we don't have to make all these checks it's more like "okay lets make sure these 5 are closed out" so this way we are always prepared.
Vanta has been an incredible tool.
What do you like best about the product?
It has helped us to streamline our compliance tasks and proactively address upcoming security tasks. It has also drastically cut the time our team spends on our annual audits, as our auditors simply find the evidence in Vanta. Our Customer Success Manager has been so helpful! They have continued to grow and I love all the additions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about Vanta that we have disliked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us to address Compliance Security and Risk tasks. This is keeping us proactive and compliant with our policies and procedures.
Vanta made SOC 2 attainable for a small business without a huge investment.

A few portions of Vanta sold us on their platform and keep us coming back.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm excited about new frameworks that Vanta is working on. While PCI compliance framework is provided, I am looking forward to the day they can produce the SAQ documentation out of Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us get SOC 2 compliant quickly with minimal investment.

Vanta has been a godsend in helping us get through our SOC 2 audits.
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has saved us a lot of time gathering evidence by automating controls for our compliance audits. It allows you to integrate with many industry-standard infrastructures. In working with an auditor that has leveraged Vanta, our SOC II audits are pretty painless. We had attempted to prepare for SOC II for several years. After getting bogged down in sorting through and trying to understand the controls, we sought help. Vanta was able to help us achieve a successful SOC II audit with no exceptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta has many integrations that we use, there are a few more that would get the last few manual controls out of our hands. I haven't used anything else, but Vanta has served us well. They have also gone through rapid improvements in updating their templates for policies. While I believe this overall is a great thing, it has caused us to go back and redo work that we would have liked to avoid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta gives us real-time monitoring of our compliance and security needs. It provides a framework to complete needed controls and meet our promised SLAs efficiently. It saves us time and employees to keep track of the minutia of SOC II and HIPAA.

What do you like best about the product?
The Vanta product offering and the team have been very helpful to us, starting with creating policies, helping us decide what to monitor and how to monitor it, and continuing with the dashboards they provide that ensure we remain in compliance within our SLAs. The team has also been very responsive to requests and feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most painful part of the process to me has been doing an adequate job of risk assessment. This seems to be a hard problem in general, and the Vanta tool was not much help. If there was some sort of industry-specific "cookbook," that would be extremely useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to solve the problem of achieving SOC2 compliance and then remaining compliant without having to spend a large amount of human time doing so. Goal achieved.
SOC 2 Compliance with a lot of help!
What do you like best about the product?
The templates were probably the most helpful part for me. There are many lengthy documents that are required for SOC 2 compliance and having a solid place to start from was incredibly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I see has to do with specific tests related to some of the more complex features of AWS. I generally have to go to a third party to get those resolved, but I have to admit that is due more the complexity of AWS than it is Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to become SOC 2 Type 2 compliance to grow our company and attract larger clients. So far this has been a huge boon and we are crowing about our success on our website and marketing materials.
Vanta takes the guess-work out of compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's software makes it very easy to enforce security policies through out our organization in a way that doesnt feel overbearing. It strikes the right balance between full-automation and prompted human-intervention when alerting for exceptions. Vanta has also been quote helpful for us as a small business in directing toward the types of policies and standards we should adopt to meet industry compliance standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any growing software interface, Vanta is continuously adding features and making improvements. This can mean re-learning certain navigation and site features from time to time as they move around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps keep us SOC2 and HIPAA compliant without paying a full-time consultant or employee to manage the somewhat menial check-ins on security required. They have also acted as a guide for us in both setting appropriate security standards and controls, as well as finding top-class auditors to help with certifications.
Vanta was the only way we got our SOC 2 certification!
What do you like best about the product?
They integrate with all of the tools and systems we use. Their customer support is friendly, and efficient, and helped us with all the technical questions we had.
What do you dislike about the product?
SOC 2 as a whole doesn't seem to do much for data security. Sure we have to follow all of these rules that make it seem like our customer's data is more secure but in reality, the SOC 2 framework doesn't prevent massive breaches in security from occuring.

Vanta allows us to become SOC 2 compliant in a time-efficient and reliable way. Their tool makes understanding the scope of SOC 2 a breeze and their relationships with auditors allows us to get he best deal
Making Standards easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like that each Standard is individualized and explained. Many requirements have at least templates or solid working examples of how to meet them. It took the anxiety and pressure of being brand new to several standards off our hands. We could follow the guidelines easily and get our Standard certifications quickly and efficiently. Our AM and Vanta Support are quick and concise when we have questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a few more integration options, including being able to have some mapping options. For example, being able to map Jira priority. Also, having the ability to manage our Vendors within Vanta better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting together all the evidence tests and having a comprehensive platform for our audits to navigate easily. Honestly, this past year has made our audits smoother and more accessible. No more excels and drop boxes!
