What do you like best about the product?
We use Vanta for data security and SOC 2 compliance. We love the user-friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much. It took a little while to get used to the updated design, but it's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance, certification and ongoing audits.

What do you like best about the product?
Right now, it is the new automation for user access reviews!
What do you dislike about the product?
In this new capability, it would be nice to have page PREV and NEXT at the top and bottom of each page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The user access reviews went from very large spreadsheets, with 20+tabs, for numerous departments and managers to review; down to a click of the mouse for a small sub-set of users that need reveiwing. We went from weeks to 3 steps. Collect users; use automation to identify reviews needed; ask for reviews of a subset of information from specific reviewers. We can run a review in 15 minutes for an application or all applications being utilized in our environment. This enables us to utilize better than Best Practices (which is quarterly reviews) ; because we can run a review anytime in about 15 minutes to send only relevant review requests to the reviewers.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides a complete and in-depth view of systems and artifacts needed for easily attaining and maintaining security and other industry-specific certifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface doesn't allow for easy navigation. I find that I have to sift through menus and am not always sure where I am or where to go if I need to resolve an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta provides the guidance needed to fulfill the requirements for a smooth certification audit. I didn't have to pay someone to figure out what to monitor, how to monitor it, and the criteria to meet the standards required for certification.
Great Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Platform and integrations, also the policy maker.
What do you dislike about the product?
The priority list isn't very helpful, it misses quite a few things I need to work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta guides me through the compliance process, and I don't need to have any special education.
Compliance made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is super easy to use. We used a different compliance software for several years before switching to Vanta, and wish we would have made it sooner - the user-friendliness of the platform is leagues above.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some components, particularly related to HR, that are automated, and there are not manual overrides (like for off-boarding an employee if the HR software hasn't "exited" them yet). It would be great if there was a way to manually update some items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small team, so we do not have one employee dedicated to security and compliance. Vanta takes all of the guess-work out of it, allowing our team to manage compliance, even with limited human resources.
Vanta makes SOC2 readiness a breeze.
What do you like best about the product?
The two best things about Vanta are the policy templates and the integrations. The policy templates allowed us to jump-start our readiness program, and the breadth of integrations made onboarding a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Vanta agent for monitoring end-user computers leaves something to be desired. I'd suggest using a proper MDM solution (Jamf, etc) instead of the Vanta agent. It had several issues detecting hard drive encryption status with various flavors of Windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta made SOC2 readiness a snap. We completed our readiness program in under four weeks from starting from absolute zero; we are on track to be SOC2 Type 2 certified in under six months from signing up with Vanta. I'm not sure how else we could have achieved it that quickly with another tool.
Great SOC2 management software
What do you like best about the product?
Their platform automates a lot of the manual tasks involved in the SOC2 process. Saved us a ton of time
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have much to complain about but if I could choose one thing it would be more integration/automation with the auditors so it goes seamlessly

We use them to deliver our yearly SOC2 report to clients and stay compliant 24/7/365
The perfect blend to security and support
What do you like best about the product?
The specific modules and documents and the ease of seeing your progress to completing the certification.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had some challenges uploading a screenshot for a security requirement and could not figure it out on my own or with the FAQs on the site. But Vanta's support helped me expedite this and we were able to qualify for our security clearance that moved things forward with a client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Vanta is solving is providing guidance to accomplish our security goals.

It was very streamlined and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had trouble getting a couple of our security settings to be reflected in Vanta but we got through it.

We used it to complete our SOC2 audit.
Unbelievably Great Introduction To Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful about Vanta was the customer support team who did not skip a beat in helping me. They were very timely with their emails. I never had to wait for a reply if I was having difficulties. They were kind and courteous and new what they were talking about and how to solve my issues. I can't say enough about the customer support team. I love how Vanta sends you a login link code via email instead of just putting in a password and possibly saving it. I found this very secure and when Im working with sensitive information that is truly important to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can say were the downsides is I was unable to download Vanta onto my Chrome OS, therefore, I had to get another laptop as Vanta can only be downloaded on a Mac or Windows. This was the only downside for me. I was given ways to fix this dilemma, but it wouldn't work still unless I had a Windows or a Mac.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't had a lot of time with Vanta to necessarily answer this question, however, I will assume Vanta is helping with privacy concerns since I deal with sensitive information and making sure my hard drive is encrypted so noone can get into it. The encryption is key to a lot of these leakages of information so I think it is great that they encrypt your hard drive.
