Simplifies Compliance, But Some Requirements Are Hard to Identify

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's software has significantly streamlined our ISO audit process. The platform allows us to map controls directly to certification requirements, and its process management tools enable us to assign work or evidence-gathering tasks directly to the relevant controls and service owners. This setup also provides comprehensive tracking for the steering committee, making oversight much easier.
Recently, I reached out to Vanta's customer support for assistance with an access review question. My support agent, Paige, was outstanding—she created a video with a screen recording that clearly demonstrated all the possible solutions within my account, which made it very straightforward to identify and resolve the issue.
I'm very satisfied with both the software and the support team, and I would recommend Vanta to others.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has taken me some time to get familiar with how the different tools in Vanta are arranged in the navigation. I would really appreciate a feature that makes it easier to jump to my most recently visited or bookmarked pages within the tool.

Streamlined Audits and Integrations, But Needs Better Evidence Management
What do you like best about the product?
Streamlined audits, evidence uploads, integrations, and implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of evidence reference labels. For example, labeling the "Password Configuration" control PW-1 or something similar will provide an easy way to reference which control we need employees to handle.

Keeps yearly audits on track
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is really easy to use, for beginners. Everyone users to admins can their way around without trouble. Its automated features make compliance work much smoother by cutting down on manual effort and reducing mistakes. The FAQs and helps articles usually answer most of my questions, and if not, there are other ways to reach support. We use vanta every year track our audits and make sure we're staying complaint with all the teams involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
As our team grows, there are still some features in vanta we havn't explored yet, which might make it a bit harder for new users to keep up. It would be great if vanta added more user made content like videos and articles to help people learn and get comfortable with the plaform faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With vanta, we've moved away from messy spreadsheets, endless meetings, and confusing email threads. Everything for audit management is now one place, making it easier for all departments and teams to work together. Once something is uploaded, its easy to organise and find later, which makes the whole compliance process much smoother and faster.

The verbiage that fields are called. For example "TESTS" would be more appropriately labeled as "Action Items".

Great for Simplifying Compliance, But Would Benefit From Better User Education for Novices

Takes (most of) the stress out of getting started on your compliance and audit journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a relatively intuitive program for something that is so multi-faceted and complex as compliance. However, there's still an opportunity to improve user education in a way that doesn't rely on people in APAC having to join webinars at 2am.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we didn't know where to start and weren't thrilled at the crazy expense of using an external compliance consultant.

What I really like about Vanta is the overall layout and the way information is organized throughout the platform. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes finding what I need fast and straightforward. I also appreciate how Vanta doesn’t just flag issues but provides clear, actionable tips on how to resolve them. The guidance feels practical and helps our team stay on top of compliance tasks without unnecessary confusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find challenging about Vanta is that the platform can sometimes feel overwhelming. With so much information and so many features, it can be confusing at times to know exactly where to find specific details or tools. A more streamlined navigation or clearer pathways to key information could make it easier to use efficiently.

Vanta helps us achieve and maintain SOC 2 certification, which provides verified proof of our security practices. This not only ensures that our systems and processes meet high standards, but also boosts our credibility with clients and partners by demonstrating that we take security seriously.

Vanta makes compliance management actually manageable. The automation around evidence collection, integrations with AWS, GitHub, and HR systems, and the continuous monitoring significantly reduce manual effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations, while extensive, can sometimes be brittle or slow to update when underlying systems change. Customization options for controls and evidence collection could be more flexible. Reporting is functional but limited if you want deeper analytics or export options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta streamlines our SOC 2 compliance process by automating evidence collection, tracking controls, and maintaining continuous monitoring. It eliminates the need for manual spreadsheets and ad-hoc document gathering, which saves a huge amount of time during audits. Having everything centralized also improves visibility across the team and ensures we stay audit-ready year-round, not just before deadlines.

What do you like best about the product?
Several things:
A. Vanta provides an organized approach to assist in completeness of our small business compliance needs and documentation
B. Ability to automate many of the necessary steps
C. SOC-2 auditors can be provided direct access and are able to complete many of the audit steps directly from our Vanta information that has significantly reduced the cost of the SOC-2 audits.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can take quite a bit of time to get Vanta set up initially, but that may be lack of full understanding of compliance needs prior to having our first SOC-2 completed.
After the initial setup, the continued use is very simple and saves a lot of time overall.

On top of assisting with SOC-2 audits, the Trust Center function has been extremely valuable to reduce the time that we used to spend completing questionnaires for prospective customers.
