Improved UI and Support, But High Costs
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the significant improvements in customer service and user interface over the last two years with Playroll. These enhancements have made the experience much better. Our customer representative, Liliana Nunes, stands out for her consistent efforts to assist us with our queries, even when they fall outside her immediate expertise. Her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile add immense value to our use of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that there are limitations to the system, such as the types of income that can be added to a payroll. Additionally, the monthly fees are exorbitant compared to other payroll providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Playroll facilitates paying employees in international locations where we aren't registered employers, improving international payroll processing. Noteworthy are the improved customer service and user interface.

I appreciate Playroll's ability to handle global hiring efficiently, as it significantly streamlines my workflow by eliminating the need for extensive paperwork, employment contracts, and compliance concerns. The onboarding process was smooth, and it's a huge relief that Playroll takes care of all the legal aspects, ensuring compliance without any hassle on my part.

I use Playroll for global hiring, and it handles paperwork, employment contracts, and compliance efficiently. The centralized dashboard reduces time spent on emails and tracking documents, and onboarding is smooth with legal aspects taken care of.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Playroll's dashboard feature, which integrates all the necessary HR administration tools such as contracts and onboarding into a single, easy-to-use platform. This consolidation requires minimal training, saves a significant amount of time, and notably reduces the potential for human or manual errors. Additionally, I find the efficiency of processes incredibly impressive as many tasks are automated more than I initially expected. The quick and straightforward implementation, which only took about three days for onboarding, was aided substantially by the digital documentation and the strong support from their always-available customer service team. They've been hands-on and have made the whole experience quite pleasant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the reporting feature in Playroll could be more customizable and flexible to cater to our specific needs. The existing out-of-the-box reporting can feel somewhat restrictive, especially since we deal with diverse and specific contract requirements that necessitate more detailed reports. Additionally, the mobile functionality of Playroll is quite limited, and it doesn't match the intuitiveness and speed of the desktop version. This poses a challenge for our remote and on-the-go teams, as they would appreciate a more mobile-friendly experience.

I use Playroll to streamline payroll for international employees, ensuring compliance with local laws, automating tax deductions, and providing statutory benefits, which reduces manual errors and fines. It consolidates HR tasks into a single platform, saving time and minimizing vendor juggling.
Secure and Convenient, But Pricey for Small Businesses

I appreciate that Playroll effectively combines important job and income information into a single platform, streamlining essential employment details for easy access and oversight. The two-factor authenticator adds an extra layer of security, ensuring my confidential information and documents are well-protected. This security feature instills confidence and makes me feel secure using the platform. Additionally, Playroll decreases communication time between HR and employees, allowing HR staff to focus on other critical tasks. I also love how the platform stores important documents online, enabling access from anywhere at any time, even outside of typical working places and hours. The platform's ease of use stands out, as I found the initial setup to be incredibly simple, similar to using other online websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the pricing for Playroll quite high, especially for smaller companies. It seems that while it might offer valuable features for those in large corporations, for smaller businesses, the cost could be prohibitive, making it less accessible.

It values clear communication and teamwork, so it avoids environments where negativity, disorganization, or poor collaboration hinder progress. The company also dislikes complacency, believing that growth comes from innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When companies want to hire employees or contractors in other countries, they often face complex local employment laws, tax regimes, payroll requirements and benefits regulations. Playroll removes that burden by acting as an Employer of Record (EOR), managing hiring, payroll, compliance and local entity issues in 180+ countries

What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate the strong work culture at the company and the friendliness of their employees. The positive, people-oriented environment stands out, and I always find the staff to be warm and welcoming.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is that I don’t really know what it’s like on the inside. From the outside it looks great, but I don’t have a clear picture of their internal processes or how they handle challenges.

Exceptionally User-Friendly Platform with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
Playroll is a very user friendly, intuitive platform, that is easy for HR professionals to navigate through and "self-serve." They Playroll team is also incredibly responsive and helpful when contacted for support. Playroll's calculators and country guides have allowed us to do extensive research into multiple regions that we may otherwise not have considered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind - any challenges experienced or any interface suggestions made have been addressed and onboarded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Playroll has allowed us to retain some of our top talent when they make the decision to emigrate. It has also allowed us to increase our hiring pool internationally, and onboard new starts from around the world.

What do you like best about the product?
The international payment process is exceptional. No need to worry about foreign laws, as everything is covered.

I do not dislike anything in particular.

We have employees all around the world. All of our employee expenses are centralized within one entity. Was difficult to make various international payments every month, but now it has been streamlined.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Playroll incredibly beneficial for managing my income tax documents and handling all the typical employee-related features like time-off management. It greatly simplifies my role as an employee at a company headquartered overseas, a task that used to be extremely tedious due to managing documentation and tax submissions on my own. Playroll makes this process much easier and more manageable by streamlining my documentation and tax submissions. I also appreciate that Playroll handles currency conversions seamlessly in my local currency, making transactions and accounting much more straightforward and less of a hassle compared to when I worked with companies in different countries. The transparency and simplicity of Playroll stand out for me. It is easy to use, seeks to unobtrusively streamline my tasks, and lets me do what I need efficiently. The setup was particularly quick and seamless, requiring minimal effort, which I found impressive. Overall, Playroll's ease of use, intuitiveness, and effective handling of localized functions contribute to a positive user experience.
