What do you like best about the product?

Ease of use. Overall, during the various POCs on the tool, the most common feedback was about its ergonomics and the ease of understanding the different components that make it up.

What do you dislike about the product?

Dislike’ is a strong word, but DataGalaxy is quite a young tool and it evolves regularly. The shortcomings of yesterday will probably be addressed tomorrow.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataGalaxy brings together business and technical metadata. It enables the establishment of effective data governance, sourcing of data, understanding of their semantics, and visibility of their transformations and where they are exposed. We also use DataGalaxy as a support to establish a pivot language in our ecosystem, given that there is no global reference framework in our industry. Additionally, it allows us to break down knowledge silos and capitalize on them (for example, in case of retirement). Finally, DataGalaxy will serve as a support for the implementation of RSE/CSRD indicators, GDPR compliance, and data reliability.
