The translation service Lokalise is a useful tool for translations.
What do you like best about the product?
Using such a service allows you to save time and money that would otherwise have to be spent on hiring a translator. Nowadays, when globalization and intercultural exchange are becoming increasingly important, localization translation services are becoming essential for business.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything that I can't accept in using the Lokalise service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration of our applications with the Lokalise service allows us to save time needed for managing translations in multiple applications that are available in many languages.
An easy translation system
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like most about Lokalize is the fact that it welcomes you with a clear, clean, comfortable graphic environment and everything is under easy control with the indispensable things. The icons and search functions allow you to work on the translation as best you are used to and effectively. There is a great help to translators with the proposals of some well-known translation engines, a high added value because it allows you to be accurate and precise in the decisions to be taken during translations for the choice of the most appropriate words without being trivial or repetitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I like least about Lokalize is that there is no possibility to create macro functions that automate some repetitive tasks. For example, there might be a function that translates an original word repeated twenty times in one go at once. Or the possibility of understanding the context of the original word to be translated, perhaps with descriptions by the author (for example "on a button", "on the menu")
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The translation into the native language of propositions and texts present in highly useful software allows the diffusion of the use of the software itself towards a much wider audience which does not necessarily have to know the language of the author of the software in question. This is the main business benefit of using translation systems like Lokalize. The benefit of using it lies in the extreme ease of use and in the suggestions of the automatic translations.
Makes it so easy to localize our products
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Lokalise for over 3 years and can't recommend it enough. It really simplifies the collaboration between localization teams and product teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps us collaborate on various localization projects simultaneously.
Easy to use localization software that makes collaborating with translators a dream!
What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to setup and use! Translators can be added to the project and work on their own.
The translations can be pulled into Figma wireframes before implementation.
And now with Lokalize AI, I think work will be completed even faster

What do you dislike about the product?
The integration and setup of the Lokalize plugin in Figma can be a bit complicated, when done for the first time.
Especially if there are grouped items in the wireframes, pulling translations can sometime involve additional work in the wireframes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have lanched our app in 12 different countries, using 9 different languages.
Lokalize is helping with delegating work between product management, content writer and translators

Very user-friendly translation tool
What do you like best about the product?
During translation, a number of translation options are proposed, for example Deepl, Google Translate, etc. There is also a spelling corrector that points out possible errors. It is also useful that photos can be added, so that it becomes clear to the translator what exactly the code will mean.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered an error message yet when you forget objects like {time}. That would be useful to be able to quickly check if you forgot to add it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps us to easily translate the code of an app into different languages. It is useful that you can view all languages in multilingual view and that everyone can work on the translation at the same time.
Great product but with many flaws
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to explain, even though in terms of UI it could be simpler. People tend to be intimidated by lokalize because the front page looks very overwhelming when you log in, but once they get the hang of it there is no issue.
Bulk actions are fantastic and save a lot of time. I like the fact that multiple users can be logged in and they don't affect each other's views.
In general, ordering translations is easy and turnaround quite rapid which is practical.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is quite challenging when I need to manage large amounts of keys.
Sometimes things happen mysteriously and I don't understand why (keys getting archived, etc).
Restoring from screenshot is not at all simple.
My biggest problem with lokalise is without a doubt the key referencing system. It is way too confusing and error prone. When reviewers go in they often override the linked keys, resulting in keys that are half linked half not linked. Also, I don't know how this happened but I now have keys that display "empty" because the reference key points to another reference key.... and i have to go in and change them manually which is VERY time confusing on a project with 5000+ keys!! Last of all, I tried to bulk link duplicate keys and I didn't realise this but you need to do it language by language instead of by the source language only (what i expected was that any key with the same source language AND same translations would become automatically linked). The problem is, if I need to do it language by language it doesn't work as there are some languages where a word is the same in the source text but different in a target language (for example, the word "language" in english is "langue" in french, so when I duplicated linked the key in french it ended up linking with another key where the source language was "tongue"...)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a process to manage the translation of new keys and correcting existing translations in our product
Perfect for our purposes
What do you like best about the product?
We use Lokalise to manage translations for our non-profit climate app and it helps us tremendously streamlinining the process.
We previously used a spreadsheet, switched to another Translation Management Software but then switched to Lokalise because it suited us much better.
The User Interface is super easy to use and we were able to onboard our translators really quickly. The integration into our GitHub code repositories also saves our developer's some time.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to mark specific keys as only being relevant for specific languages (and not all).
Also the "Tasks" feature could do with some improvements (such as offering custom translation statuses without using tasks).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single source of truth for all translations and seamless integration into our code repository. Furthermore a much better user experience for translators and a better overview of our progress for specific languages.
Interaction with content designers is much easier
What do you like best about the product?
Its technical API has made our work more accessible in our work days since we implemented it for pulling/fetching the latest changes of our copies from lokalize.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not trivial to add support for non-translatable content; we need to put JSON configuration for this small thing, and maybe having a checkbox could make it easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The interaction between the content designers and the software engineers. We don't even need to interact in order to have the final content we need to display in each screen of our app.
Great translation tool
What do you like best about the product?
The "100 %" translation feature is great. I often have to translate the same sentence, connected to our terms & contracts. Now it's just a click away to get it translated and then I also know for sure that it's matching the previous one.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using Lokalise a couple of times, I still haven't found anything that I dislike. I only do the translations so it's possible that there are things to dislike for other functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves a lot of time for me. We were previously using G docs which was very time consuming.
It gets the job done and their support team is responsive
What do you like best about the product?
It allows my company to create all our keys for our projects on one central platform and integrates well with Figma, allowing us to have our content translated to multiple languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little hard to navigate all its sections, menus, and features, there is definitely a learning curve. Occasionally, search results won't come up unless you backspace and/or retype in the search. Also, copying keys takes a very long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating content into other languages, allowing our products to be used by people around the world.
