Great localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
I find the translation memory to be very handy. Before adopting Lokalise, our company used to simply use excel sheets to manage all the translation tasks and it was less than ideal. The lack of translation memory meant that the same concept might have been translated into several different versions and all of them probably coexisted somewhere in our UI, which is a nightmare for a language-learning company. In addition, several different localizers have been working on the same project throughout the past 9 years or so, which of course also added to the complexity of the matter. Having a functional translation memory basically enables us to audit all our strings and find all of the potential problems before receiving any complaints from our users. A total game changer!
What do you dislike about the product?
The format insertion symbols can be confusing at times. When there are multiple different formats within one sentence, it can be very confusing in terms of where to insert which one, especially if I'm doing simplified Chinese since the grammar is totally different and the word order is usually also very different. It's not intuitive to find the exact equivalence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps me organise all my translation tasks. I used to receive all the different tasks with subtasks from Jira, and it was highly confusing in terms of how many active tasks I had and the priority of those different tasks was mostly unclear. There was no overview of the size of any specific task either, so the whole thing was a mess.
fast and convenient way to localize your application
What do you like best about the product?
Automatic translations and automation of uploading and downloading keys to git.Flexibility and simplicity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes downloading git updates does not remove unused keys. Fix cleaning mode when loading keys from git. More different formats and plurals can be added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, Lokalise allows you to quickly create a localized product with minimal effort and with a well thought out flow. Yes, we no longer worry about our localization
great idea and must be really quick once you know how to automate the process
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to understand how to upload the keys manually
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to understand the purpose of all the settings, like tags. I also didn't figure out yet how to prepare the JSON files for the upload
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's beneficial to have the translations in all languages in one place
Great tool. API documentation should be used as an example how to do it.
What do you like best about the product?
Support and documentation.
Professional translation tool, highly recommended. Great support which cares about the your requirements, even if they are sometimes not standard because of industry. API documentation should be used as an example of how to do it.

What do you dislike about the product?
It might be a bit more customizable, but support is taking feature requests and passing them to developers, so I think it might improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is helping to translate our apps into other languages; the benefit is clear - more markets share to take.
Love the product and how far it has come
What do you like best about the product?
We are in the app development business for many clients, and translations have always been a pain point. We used to do them based on spreadsheets and tried to streamline/automate as much as possible, but in the end, the main problem was that translators had no context in the sheets what exactly they were translating and on what screen the words/phrases appeared. Lokalise has this neat "in-context editing" feature and a fantastic plugin architecture, which solves everything for us. We wireframe and design in Figma, connect Figma to Lokalise, and Lokalise adds screenshots to each phrase directly from Figma so you can see what you are translating. It is also possible to switch languages directly in the design through the plugin, which adds a fantastic new feature on that end. We also incorporated Lokalise into our build process to ensure that the devs always fetch the latest translations without even thinking about it. Last but not least, the interface is really easy to use and more or less self-explanatory for external translators.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the pricing is a little (!) on the higher end for some cases, especially since translators are not working on a project the whole time but only during "translation time" in the project lifecycle - i think this could be reflected somehow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Lokalise we can automate most of our translation processes and work with clients in multiple languages very efficiently. The process becomes painless and thus has minimal effects on efforts/money spent.
User-friendly interface
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand and use. Interactions with other translators is very appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Translations memories are difficult to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The possibility to see my translation in real time
Quick and easy localization done right with Software Developers in mind
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly get machine translations for our entire code base has been a tremendously invaluable asset for our company. Not only is the Web UI easy to use, but they also have inhouse built API's and programming language SDK's for programmatically achieving all of the same actions through code, making automating our code pipeline a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a few hiccups along the way, which is inevitable for any SaaS offerings. Still, Lokalise support has always been very quick at communicating and resolving any issues we've encountered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise is providing our company the ability to quickly add support for new languages for our entire application. Additionally, with the API and SDKs we've been able to automate much of the localization work, which means less time spent getting localization into our code and more time working on other pressing issues.
Very professional, intuitive and helpful tool for translators
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface, as it is intuitive, easy to use and contains a bunch of helpful tools for making my job as a translator easier, such as access to the translation memory, able to see previous translations of the same or similar phrase, and also, the thing that is very helpful is the ability to see screenshots and comment sections which the client leaves which reduce the time I have to spend guessing what the source text meant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I noticed a couple of bugs while working in Lokalise, but these are workflow bugs and not feature or functionality bugs that hinder me from delivering a quality translation. For example, the ctrl+enter function does not confirm the translation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speeding up the translation process, enabling quick and quality communication between me as a translator and the client and it enables me to have an insight into the context of the source text in the form of comments or images/screenshots (extremely helpful). Also, I am able to ask questions and upload documents.
Easy to translate and no need to onboard new users as it's super easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to onboard users. I don't need to explain how it works to new colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
We are missign the in-context translations, which can be super useful for some specific languages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps expanding our reach across different markets, and do it in a fast way
Best tool to simplify localisation and string management
What do you like best about the product?
The usability and simplicity of the tool for organising strings and managing them collaboratively is what fascinated me the most.
Moreover, I love the different integrations with other third parties and the capabilities to clean up the projects like "find duplicates".

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the current permission system is complex and confusing. For instance, it was hard for us to understand how to grant read-only permissions.
On the other side, I love the idea of over-the-air changes on mobile applications, but the bundles are misleading.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Even though Lokalise is solving our Lokalisation problems, the biggest problem solved at Ocado right now is string customisation. It allows us to maintain a default set of translations and the possibility of our retailers to override them.
Additionally, in the future, it will help us manage strings (creation, translations, lifecycle...)
