Moving away from spreadsheets

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Localise we finally moved away from spreadsheets, improved the delivery time and the translation consistency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find any, I guess we just can't use all the features because of our processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All projects are in one storage; all team involved can find benefits form using it.

Great tool with great customer service

  • August 16, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how flexible Lokalise is. From HTML and Office documents to JSON files and TypeScript code, Lokalise has us covered in all our usage needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I see absolutely no downside in using the tool. I tried other tools before selecting Lokalise and I could not find one that did all Lokalise does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise is helping me quickly and effectively translate training and promotional material. We also plan to use it for the localization of user interfaces and to expand our technical support.

It makes life easier for devs and stakeholders. A bit expensive though.

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to use in React native projects
- Easy to administer users
- Easy to handle strings and translations
- Easy to integrate to projects
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing. It's a tad expensive. I liked when you had machine translation suggestions. Where did they go?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having some document with versions of translations in some shared drive. That was a nightmare.

A great platform to handle your software translation projects! And it got beefed-up with AI goodies!

  • August 16, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty straightforward, quick and easy to use.

It allows for great communication with the management of any translation projects.

It allows to track the advancement and changes on every single aspect of any project.

And now, it even has AI powers to make it quicker and easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the fact that sometimes you just get some notifications about projects you can't work on. Maybe that's the project manager's fault, but you still keep getting these emails from Lokalise.

It doesn't look as good or easy to use in mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping my project managers to handle the translation of huge pieces of software seamlessly and simultaneously across many languages and dialects.

It's cost-effective.

Now with their AI integrations things tend to be quicker.

Unbelievably simple, moreover it has a git-like method of publishing. Very useful!

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it's Git based, and it supports branches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd improve the UI by coupling more the Git thing in the editor dashboard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localisation of strings into projects, NextJS, and React Native based.

Lokalise has simplified our copy changes and translations

  • August 05, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to import all the designs from Figma and then give back time to our developers to focus on work that really matters
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like if it had over the air Flutter support (apparently coming in Q3) and supported self hosted TFS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves both allowing us to update copy without developer involvement and translations.

Easy to use, great features & affordable

  • August 05, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We added Lokalise after trying out various competing applications. We required an easy-to-use scalable system, where external translators can access their allocated work. Lokalise those all that. The different statuses you can link to keywords/ translations work well for us (Quality Control). Currently, we have linked it to our fixed elements eg. navigation, but in the next phase, we will link it to the work our clients create in our application so that they also will have access to these tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take a while to understand how Lokalise deals with translation keys and the initial integration was a bit challenging for our Dev. team. There are so many options in the system we don't use and they somewhat distract you from the core competence of the system. Perhaps that could be activated as a separate option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RIAPlay.com is a gamified learning platform which is used all over the world.

Simply the friendliest and most capable translation software out there

  • August 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The integration with Figma allowed us to considerably improve our time to market and help users understand what they were translating by having the design available at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few things, the product really works wonders. If I were to say one thing, you still have to reconcile existing keys if you haven't plugged your Figma before your developments. But they made it easy by crawling your git and making suggestions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to avoid horrendous excel files and human integration, especially for products that we have deployed in over 50 countries. It also gives context to users. Most often, people translate phrases without getting the full context, and end up translating literally. Lokalise makes it simple by adding the design if needed. We also use the tasks feature for project management, and to avoid spending too much time emailing internal stakeholders.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I'm just beginning to use the product and I haven't found any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having an easy to use localisation product with various possible integrations

Terrific Tool for Managing Language Translations

  • July 20, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the one-place management of all types of translations, app, content, website, documents and the ease of adding additional languages as you grow. Also the tech support is superb and very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is still work to be done w.r.t. PDFs/InDesign. Translations sent to external service were not viewable due to some glitches, but the very good support was able to send them to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One-stop shopping for all translations. Prior to Lokalise, my company had been using spreadsheets to send out to individual translators. Lokalise was good to both educate the in-house developer to convert to L10N/I18N standards and plugging right into GitHub.
