Using it and valuing it a lot
What do you like best about the product?
we can farm out translation work to a variety of volunteers. And their work seamlessly feeds our updates. Also like the auto machine translation to get it started, and the fact that it sources from multiple systems for this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard / tedious to find the section of copy that you need to edit. It might be awesome if the interface allowed people to work in a copy or replica of the actual website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to engage staff and volunteers to improve upon machine translations, which definitely need help.

1. Powerful access control - You can set user groups to give them different permissions.
2. Integration with many services easily - S3, GitHub, Webhook, Slack, Jira, etc.
3. Not only the solution for translators, but also fits requirements from whole scrum team (PM, Design, QA, SWE)
4. Mobile SDK - Support both iOS and Android, dynamic sync up localized string with client and server.
5. CI / CD automation - Integrate with Fastlane to make your new features go to market faster.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. If you want to give someone view only permission of all languages, the setting steps would be pretty tricky.

Easy to integreat. Easy to to use. All of us felt that work on translations has become easier and more efficient.

What do you dislike about the product?
Still not found obvious flaws. In our business process, all translations undergo additional proof-read, therefore I can not say anything bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid project scaling to new markets.

What do you like best about the product?
Upsides: Great feature set, we are a SAAS product company and use it for 3 things: our translation files for our Angular web-app, our HTML templates for email communications and custom translation for our Customer content. Lokalise integrates with BitBucket and provides features for external and internal human and machine-translation services.

What do you dislike about the product?
The file-based translation could integrate with Bitbucket, and the duplicate key functionality, while present is not as advanced as the localisation file versions currently. That being said, the features are much more advanced than our previous translation platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be able to translate our whole platform (back-end, front-end and comms templates) and to integrate that process in our production process. Lokalise has allowed us to do that in one platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise provides a very convenient control panel for operating all the text strings in our product. Having a series of multi-lingual products can create a lot of headaches. Lokalise makes life so much easier providing access to native speakers and conveniently structuring each text string.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no Paypal payment option available in the service.

Updating texts without the necessity to resubmit the app.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy to use is and when not so easy or clear, still I get all the help I need to solve my problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it should be possible to give more "power" to one admin over the other admins of the same project. And I would implement a live chat among single projects' editors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get to manage a team of 23 editors very smoothly, with easy access to single languages status updates and progress, that means that I know exactly how far I am with my work and I can schedule new projects or tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To never underestimate the power of sharing doubts, because the solution might be right in front of you or in one of Lokalise's people hands.

What do you like best about the product?
First of all the features are incredible. The contact with Lokalise team is always a great experience. I get instant help each time I have a doubt about a feature. And all my feature requests are answered either with a workaround or an answer about when it could be available. I'd definitely recommend, Lokalise is a must have for seamless localisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor friction with some features but I'm confident my feedbacks will be considered in future updates. For now what I dislike most is not to have implemented Lokalise earlier! It's far better than any other tool on the market. We implemented it for iOS and Android applications, can't wait to apply it to web and webservices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps me improve our content validation and translation upfront in the design process. We'll gain extra time to deliver better quality on our other tasks. We dropped spreadsheets and are excited about translation again!

It is quite easy to work with multiple languages and see which strings are not translated yet.
We use built-in translation services a lot - it helps and makes our release process much faster. Translations quality is also good.
It is easy to build a bundle, and integration with GitHub works without a problem. So far we have not experienced any bugs or downtime of the service - it is super stable and we use over the air SDK all the time.
Support and Account Managers are super friendly and nice - we receive a lot of help and guidance from them.

UI is quite cumbersome and you have to get used to it. Navigation, search, and string management is not that straightforward. We also miss links to specific strings if we want someone else to check a specific one. Project chat is quite hard to navigate, so we discuss all translations in Slack.

We translate our main mobile app on iOS and Android, and we use over the air SDKs to manage translations without building and submitting new app version.

- It's reduced the number of tools I use to get a translation done from 3 (Slack, Asana, Excel) to 1 (Lokalise). The plugins mean that from early idea brainstorming right through to implementation in development, hundreds of thousands of translations, whether they're bitty or massive, get done with very little fuss.
- You can build templates and user groups within it that streamline processes and save huge amounts of time
- The integrations with Figma, Zendesk and the like are hugely time saving
- The Customer Support team might just be the most helpful support I've ever encountered. They're fast, always on, genuinely supportive and have got great giphy game
