A great one-stop solution for Translators, Reviewers and Engineers

What do you like best about the product?
These are some of the things we love about Lokalise:

- The project set up is not complicated and it is also easy to add new languages

- Offers a wide range of integration options. We loved the convenience of integrating with Github for our project.

- In our package, there's translation memory, error checks, snapshots, audit logs and an option to add screenshots that offers the translators a perspective of how the content will look on screen. We find it very helpful.

- Easy to define tasks, user roles and create focused groups for working on various aspects of the project on Lokalise. This helps with keeping the work organized and sending email notifications when a task is ready for translation.

- Customer support is very responsive, friendly and eager to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no complaints about using Lokalise for our translation needs at all but there's a feature that I'd like to see improved.
- There's a chat option that allows people to leave a comment/chat on a particular key. And this feature might already exist and I might be missing something, but the chats appear as one long list.
If there's several comments left in the chat and you want to respond to some specific comment, it appears at the end of the list as one more chat. It'd be helpful to have a way to respond to a specific comment right under it so that the conversation is easier to follow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working on a project (mobile app- Android, iOS) with a large community of translators spread across various countries. Lokalise offers a very clean UI and user experience that is easy to understand for everyone across all of these regions that we have worked with.

We are currently at a stage where there are regular content updates and hence, regular translation changes and integration into our project.

It has been great working with Lokalise. The translation process and integration are both faster and smoother and our pace has definitely improved since we started using Lokalise.

What do you like best about the product?
Efficient management of all translation requirements. Introduce as many people as required to manage everything safely and securely in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features we need are only on the top tier plan but we don't need all the bells and whistles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the localization of our products so that we can expand globally. Managing this without lokalise would require a lot of manual work on spreadsheets and become a non-scalable bottleneck for our global expansion
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. I would not attempt to manage localization projects without lokalise.

What do you like best about the product?
How easily the tool Integration and usability. also, the support they provide is very good and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many things that I dislike about the tool other than the QA issue does not show what is the real issue so I can fix it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing a full update or a hotfix to change a word that has been misspelled.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It depends on how many users you have and how many values or strings you have too if the app is small which means does not have that many strings and has over 1 user you shouldn't while of you have an app which has many strings is very very useful for the team to change and improve without updating the app.

What do you like best about the product?
I only supervised the project on Lokalise but from my non technical background I can confirm the great UX and the ease of use of the platform. My team, composed of a mix of tech savvy and non, did not find any challenge in adopting the software and found the application effective and very intuitive. We translated a considerable amount of keys in a brief timeline but most of all with very low supervision needed or contribution from the Dev team.

Customer service was also top notch ready to answer any questions and quick to provide insights on how to work more efficiently on the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far in using Lokalise
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main benefits of Lokalise
- Translated more than 5k keys in a short window with very low support from the Dev team
-Analytics helped to steer the weekly catch up and maintain the project running smoothly
- Lokalisation project were handled by non Dev team members helping reducing the burden on the technology team

A comprehensive translation solution for engineers and translators

What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise allowed us to replace our in-house translations management system with a managed third-party solution. This has reduced our engineering costs, and given our translation team a modern platform for internationalization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Lokalise API has a concurrency restriction which makes some integrations difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have completely removed our in-house translations systems and delegated all management to Lokalise. This has saved us many hours of engineering time which can instead be spent on product improvements.

What do you like best about the product?
The API, the automatic translations, the easy "human" translations integrations. The customer service is fast and great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is not very fast loading the pages and the translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A centralized platform for translations and an automatic repository for all projects accessible via API

Although it seems expensive, if you really use translations in your projects you should take a look.

Lokalise has taken the vast majority of stress away from translation

What do you like best about the product?
Having a true source of truth for our translations, that isn't from the frontend team micromanaging a text file, is a huge improvement to every day development life. Lokalise provides a full workflow to have my own team members, as well as professional translators, take care of my project. I simply need to export translations, and my app is updated.

My absolute favorite perk, is complex frontend code written into translations are masked for the translators. They don't need to preserve my html, Lokalise does it for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to go back and forth between what my i18n plugin uses for translations (key.name.here) and what lokalise uses (key::name::here). Having to remember how each difference works is aggravating at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to visually see how our count-based translations are working on the lokalise app is incredibly helpful.

As well, being able to throw together new utilities like a form, add the fields to Lokalise, and one-button-translate each one via google is fantastic. Words like "email" and "name" don't need to be hand translated each time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of Lokalise as early as possible. Being able to create reusable translations, mark things as completed/verified, and organize them with tags is a huge benefit of Lokalise. But the larger your translations start, the harder it is to implement.

What do you like best about the product?
First it a lot of functionality which makes our work easier. And a great support team, which read to solve any problem or question quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Early it was a not well API, but a new API (with SDK) is really good!

We easily translate our platform (website) to 8 languages. Professional translators from Lokalise helps us in it.

What do you like best about the product?
The concept of lokalise provides the much-needed flexibility on the linguistic side of product development.

Some of the advantages we found helpful:
- easy adding of new languages and projects;
- online accessibility to external translators and language editors without them having to own the translation software;
- easy changing of both the original and the translations;
- good connectivity with design software (easy import of screen pictures);
- useful in organizing the development process;
- handy language overview (all languages at once or individually);
- easy access granting and limiting to translators;
- daily backups for peace of mind;
- branching process that works wonders, keeping the workload organised and under control.
What do you dislike about the product?
TM is only available once you have the PRO package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effective project organisation. Easy delegation of projects to translators, language editors and administrators.
