Easy to Use, Straightforward Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Deel Payroll is easy to set up and use as a contractor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The verification process is flaky, and it’s also not easy to correct or change information when something is entered incorrectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of getting paid overseas when working as a contractor.
Clean, Easy-to-Navigate UI with Strong AI Document Parsing
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very clean and easy to navigate. It’s also AI-powered in a good way, so it can parse documents really well compared to other similar platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, when I try to withdraw payments, some banks have a $1,000 limit. With the commission on top of that, it can be a bit painful. That said, I understand that not everything depends on Deel Payroll itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get paid on time, without long waits, in the right currency, and with invoices handled properly.
Good UI and Discounts, but Payroll Delays and Tax Issues

The Deel UI is pretty good, and there are some subscriptions for which we can get discounts for

Had a mixed experience with payroll being delayed, tax issues, support etc.

We were using Deel in the past and this was to process payroll for employees outside of the HQ

Ive not used it long enough to say really, but so far I dont see any.

Deel is a strong platform, but in this case there wasn’t an existing issue for me personally that needed solving, so I haven’t seen a direct benefit.

Some advanced workflows and reporting options feel less flexible than expected, especially when dealing with edge cases or country-specific nuances. Occasional delays in support responses for complex issues can slow resolution, and certain UI flows require more clicks than necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
The rate is reasonable and the transfer of funds is a lot faster than before.
What do you dislike about the product?
none so far at the moment. I can't tell since it is my first time, I think I can only complain about your app being a bit slower when loading it up.

Fast transfer and it helps me a lot to be able to pay the dues on time.

This means fast onboarding processes for us, accurate and on-time payments processed every time, and much less administrative work for us. Having all of this in the cloud gives us better control and visibility into what is going on and allows us to concentrate on what we do instead of payroll.

It simplifies cross-border payments, reduces manual effort, and provides clear visibility into payroll costs by country. One limitation of Deel Payroll is that FX rate adjustments are not clearly visible or automatically reflected in reports, which makes reconciliation slightly manual. Some payroll and reporting views could be more flexible for finance teams, and certain customisations require additional steps. While the platform is strong overall, more transparency around currency conversion and costing would improve accuracy and usability

With a South African employee, it removes the complexity of local regulations, tax handling, and cross-border payments by managing everything within one platform. This benefits us by reducing compliance risk, saving time, and ensuring accurate and timely salary payments without needing a separate local payroll provider.
