Repeating Payroll Errors, Broken Reports, and a Platform That Can't Handle Complexity
What do you like best about the product?
To their credit, the platform does offer payslip previews and visibility into adjustments. But these features are meaningless if the core functions don’t work, the support is disorganized, and the system architecture is not built to handle real-world complexity.
We’ve lost time, energy, and trust trying to make this relationship work. If your business requires accurate payroll, working reports, and accountable support, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

What do you dislike about the product?
We’re now in our fourth month with Deel, and not a single payroll cycle has run without error. But worse than the frequency is the repetition. it’s been the same issue every time, related to retirement deferrals and employer match calculations. We’ve been told it’s fixed on multiple occasions. It never is. Every pay cycle feels like Groundhog Day, and every “correction” brings either more errors or incomplete fixes. It’s exhausting.
This is not a minor onboarding hiccup. It’s a clear sign that the platform cannot handle complexity. If your payroll involves anything beyond a basic setup, buyer beware.
What’s Gone Wrong:
Same Payroll Error, Every Cycle
Ongoing miscalculations in retirement deferrals and employer contributions
Multiple “fixes” that fail to resolve the issue
No escalation process that leads to true resolution
Support That Fumbles Fixes
Most issues are passed to a helpdesk, where they stall for days or weeks
"Resolutions" often contain new errors, which we have to catch ourselves
The burden of quality control falls on us, not them
Critical Reports That Don’t Work
I’ve been waiting over two weeks for them to resolve a broken gross payroll report needed for our workers’ comp audit (which is due in a few days)
No fix, no ETA, and no urgency
Unannounced Invoice Changes
We've had major invoice changes made with no notification- no warning, no explanation, no changelog
This kind of financial opacity is not acceptable for a payroll vendor
A Torturous, Maze-Like Platform
The interface is labyrinthine, making it a chore to find basic information or perform simple tasks
At one point, the system flagged a paid invoice as “past due” even though autopay was active- prompting us to send an unnecessary wire
Management Ignores Escalations
Even after copying managers on multiple email threads (at their request) we’ve received no response whatsoever
There is no visible ownership or accountability at any level of the organization
