Love
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Asana as a multitude of tools that allow multiple different teams utilize it differently. I like the different ways to view things (calendar, list, boards, etc). I like daily tasks and being able to comment and assign throughout the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest thing for me is that sub-tasks can't be added to certain boards. Like I'd love for my sub-sub-tasks to show up on the calendar but only the first subtask(maybe?) can. Like for Social Media - I typically like to minimize stuff as much as possible like for example, one task is the post that is going live, but to accompany that post, I have an instagram story, a channel broadcast, potentially a Tik Tok that also goes live. And I do this almost every day, so having SO many master tasks - things get lost. It would just be nice to have it all under an organized post and then the subtasks can show up in the calendar so someone can look at the calendar and see EVERYTHING going live that day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Small company where a lot of people where multiple hats, meaning things can get lost. Helps to keep tasks and ideas ALIVE rather than lost and dead.
The way to stay ahead
What do you like best about the product?
So far, I really enjoy how easy it is to create reminders for tasks that have hard deadlines. It easily integrates and utilizes email reminders to make sure nothing is forgotten. It's been super easy to learn and figure out how to best implement for my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have more education on how to best use Asana. I would also love to see a way to include tracking calendar days if possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently working on using Asana for leave management for our team. It's super helpful to track where we are on specific cases and utilize reminders for hard deadlines.
Asana is a great tool for managing projects and productivity.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows you to work on multiple projects and to break down specific tasks. I love the portfolio view for seeing status updates and working with my team. I love that asana integrates seamlessly with google workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that there were more automations. Specifically, it would be fantastic to have the ability to have a portfolio view where projects/tasks were automatically added to that portfolio. Additionally, the ability to assign a task to more than one individual would be useful for editorial review workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to collaborate a manage projects as a team. As a small staff, we all have multiple jobs and tasks assigned. Asana allows us to assign and manage jobs seamlessly. It greatly improves our communication and allows us to stay on track.
Wonderful tool for large companies
What do you like best about the product?
The unique and complex functions available make Asana a breeze to work with. The Jira integration works great for dev teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to have tasks with subtasks automatically expanded. It would also be helpful if rules to could be applied to subtasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the need for project organization and billing management. The integration with Everhour is especially beneficial.
Great Tool to Coordinate Marketing Efforts
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to see different views of the same information, whether that's in a List format, Gantt chart, Kanban, or timeline. I also love that you can customize it to meet your specific needs. I also love the integration with Slack.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it let you assign a task to more than one person. I also think the email notifications are a little much, but you can turn those off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me coordinate product launches with multiple stakeholder across different teams. We can input all of our tasks and see who owns what, and the filtering option makes it easier to just jump straight to a specific task or task owner.
Asana Ticketing
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and simple UI no extra complications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much options to decide the severity of tickets
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping our users manage their day to day tasks
User-friendly, but not immediately intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The workflows are a great tool for a variety of use cases beyond task management. I am currently exploring using it for CRM and lead tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a little steep. I had to do a course on LinkedIn learning and have someone show me a couple of different use cases before I was able to create my own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For other teams in my organization, it's mostly small project management. For me, it's mostly lead tracking for the sales team.
Asana has been a game changer for the project and task management in our team.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is the easy navigation and simplicity that makes it easy for current and new team members to catch on and catch up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Asana is that in order to add a recording it has to be Loom. Being able to record inside Asana and somehow connect it to our Google Drive would make it way easier to skip meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A home for all of our projects and tasks. This helps us stay on track and be able to see where certain projects are and how we can continue pushing them forward.
Ease of Use for Program/Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Assigning tasks to a team of asynchronous staff! They don't have to be online at the same time to receive the information they need to get onboard. No one has complained about the system or understanding where to find what they need to do their jobs. I also love the integration it has to Google and Slack (two services I use) -- I don't even have to be logged in to see responses, questions, and whenever a task is completed. I use Asana everyday. I also LOVE the little kitty pick me ups
What do you dislike about the product?
Only wish my organization paid for the premium versions.

Assigning of tasks and seeing the completion of projects through to the end.
