Asana is a sanity
What do you like best about the product?
The connecting workflow helps keep us on track. I also like how the online forms can collect information, dump into asana, move with my rules, and export into google sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me about 5 months of building out, and restructure my Asana to get it right for us. I wish there was someone I could speak with that could have helped me set sail. Data/task organization can become overwhelming when there's multiple considerations. Through this mental workout of building it out, I have a lot of respect for anyone who handles information! But Asana could do much better and help new customers take off with real 1 on 1 help. I nearly quit Asana multiple times early on becuase I was tired of trying to figure things out. Directing users to watch videos and read forms is progressively becoming my pet peeve. Inevitaby we all spend the time of which 1/2 aren't relevant and never learning this till after the fact.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At work intake, it generates everyones job and forces them to check the box before we can continue. It also communicates to other users letting them know when it's their turn. This ensures greater accuracy for project completion, and makes it easier as a manger to see where we are collectively.
If you're not super technical, Asana is for you!
What do you like best about the product?
I started using Asana in 2019. I tried the free version for years because my business budget was tight, and I couldn't afford a robust tech stack. But when I did have some extra money, I ran to Asana to upgrade.
Over those two years of using the free version, I loved how easy the platform was to use. Having tried more technical project management tools, Asana was so easy to use—and fun! (Who doesn't love a rainbow character shooting across the screen when you finish a task?!)
Now, I log into Asana every day before I jump into work.
It's the lifeblood of my business and my number one accountability partner.
If I have a new idea when I'm walking with my dog, I grab my phone and open Asana to jot it down. If we onboard a new team member, the first thing we do is explain how important Asana is to our business and give them a tour.
Over those two years of using the free version, I loved how easy the platform was to use. Having tried more technical project management tools, Asana was so easy to use—and fun! (Who doesn't love a rainbow character shooting across the screen when you finish a task?!)

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Asana is not being able to add team members at different levels for your subscription. For instance, as a business owner, I'd like access to features like "Goals" and "Portfolios" without having to pay for our entire team to upgrade. But, we manage anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps our team stay organized and on-track. Before we begin any new project, we outline all the tasks we need to complete and assign them a due date. It's been game-changing for team collaboration and communication to have everything documented in one place.
Ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to use because it has a simple design, quick task management, drag-and-drop functionality, customizable views, and easy integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any dislikes about Asana. The app’s straightforward design, ease of task management, and useful features all contribute to a positive experience. It effectively meets my needs without any major issues.

I am just starting to use Asana personally, and I use it to organize and accomplish my tasks."
Project Management for Marketing Team Using Asana
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features is being able to assign tasks and set a timeline with deadlines for each task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The many emails that are triggered by being assigned a task can be a bit distracting. But there is likely a way to turn off or lessen the email notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being in a global office, we found that Asana is very helpful with keeping everyone is our various locations on task.

Best User-Friendly Project Management Platform for Marketing Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Everything about Asana is fabulous. The user interface is really easy to use. They offer several options for organization and creating porjects and tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better ability to share to outside vendors/users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a project management platform that was going to help us manage different projects and campaigns over several different business. Asana made it easier to visualize our campaign calendar to see where campaigns overlapped.

I have yet to find an out of the box way to avoice assignm,ents on non-business days.

Straight forward PM and Task Management tool

I love the abiilities for customization to meet individual team needs!

None that come to mind at this time, I have been able to achieve everything that I have sought out to do and still learning more functionality!

Our HR team is using Goals to share OKR's and visibility, as well as tie progress with projects!
Great for project management and collaborating
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of ways to organize tasks into "buckets" in an easy to use way. It's also great for collaborating with other team members like editing drafts within the system and tagging each other in comments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface could be a little more streamlined/organized. There's a lot you can do with it, which almost makes it more confusing. I'd like to see it more simplified.

Keeping track of multiple projects and what team members are working on.
Life saver
What do you like best about the product?
Working on shared projects is a breeze where you can monitor overall progress, and assign tasks to others as well as yourself. Saves time and pointless meetings. Very user-friendly, with many features and add-ons to explore. Plenty of free, online training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional integrations with Google Drive and Calendar. It would be amazing if tasks automatically populated on Google Calendar. Currently, it is not straight forward to add tasks to your calendar.

Saves time, cuts down on post-its and a variety of notes.
