Crucial project management for our remote-only business
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has exceptional features for creating and organizing tasks, projects, and teams. Powerful, super flexible, easy to learn, easy to use. Our workforce is exclusively remote and Asana serves as the backbone of our collaboration and project management efforts. Customer support has been very responsive. We are all in Asana all day every day. We even integrate Asana with our business intelligence platform to provide company-level visibility on project status on our scorecards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is not cheap, but we were able to use the free version for years before leveling up in the paid tiers. Considering switching to Asana Enterprise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote task and project management and collaboration. Essential to our business.
Robust and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is robust in its capabilities, I can operate virtually all aspects of my projects and have accountability
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not so much a dislike but time required to become proficient. Any platform that is worth its salt requires a focused approach
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping projects and materials flowing with a clear line of site on who is responsible for what
best project management for designers
What do you like best about the product?
Love the different ways that you can configure your projects so you can see the progress in different ways. I also like the customization
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like this one to be a desktop app instead of a online app, also I would like to PDF some files to show to my coworkers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keep me accountable for all of my tasks and project progress.
Asana is a great workflow management system/ software.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to use and user-friendly. It is a great software to manage tasks within the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it is not easy to navigate in Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the workflow and keep track of different tasks.
Asana, even I can do it...
What do you like best about the product?
I am the biggest overthinker of my crew. I like to complicate the easiest of tasks... Asana helps me to make it as complicated as i'd like, or keep in very simple when i need to. The online classes and especially the live ones are super helpful in finding new tools to use and better ways to organize my brain. It is all very appreciated!
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that there is so much to learn! But also simple enough to get started and tweak it as I go and learn more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me to organize multiple product orders from multiple intakes and multiple processes to complete said orders.
good for basics, but severely lacking in engineering/production environment
What do you like best about the product?
Task management for the whole team. Allows us to add notes and track task status.
What do you dislike about the product?
This used to work for us, until we started exploding with work and now this is a pain in the ass to keep up to date.
I have 21 active projects, and over 4600 open tasks for my team. Our Mechanical engineering collegues have even more. We end up with duplicate tasks for the same piece of equipment.
If a project gets delayed, there is no easy way to adjust all the dates, so now I have to go in and manually fix hundreds of tasks.
We had a meeting with Asana reps and they basically said "this tool isnt built for this, sorry." When we asked if they could help us fix things to be more "Asana-friendly" they said "no" and recommended we look for a third-party integrator.
All of the little nit-picky things we hate are hated by many others across the world. The forums have multiple people asking for the same thing and Asana says "no thanks, we dont think thats important".

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking tasks that need to be worked on
Great for organizing chaos
What do you like best about the product?
This app makes it easy to clarify who is responsible for completing a task, reducing confusion and increasing accountability with my team. I especially love the multi-homing feature when it comes to organizing tasks: it allows me to manage work that needs to pass through different approval processes or workflows without having to duplicate tasks or lose track of conversations related to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit of a steep learning curve, and it would be helpful if there was a bit more granular control over permissions and sharing when it comes to approvals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing task lists, especially for interdepartmental collaborations, have been made easier through Asana.
Please improve the search functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The design is sleek, the platform is fast and it's somewhat reasonably priced.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really hard to find tasks that were written years ago via the search; we often find ourselves searching for hours even with the title of the task being nearly an exact match for the search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team productivity management, and keeping everyone accountable.
Review of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a clean and intuitive interface, making it easy for users to learn and navigate the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesn't have a built-in time tracking feature, requiring integration with other tools for those who need it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps to organize tasks, set deadlines, and assign them to team members. This reduces confusion and missed deadlines.
Excellent task management and project workflows
What do you like best about the product?
I live the projects, portfolios, and integrations for all of my projects. The bulk of my work is project-based and follows specific workflows. I use Asana to set up projects so that I can tag people in and projects can run even without me. Using Asana along with standard operating procedures helps us keep things moving smoothly. Asana is incredibly user friendly and easy to adapt into different types of needs. I use it for my own work, but also for cross-team projects with multiple collaborators and am in Asana on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love all the bells and whistles at a lower price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
not having to recreate the wheel with every project.
