Best software for task management!
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Asana for a while and found it is one of the best tools available in the market for managing all your tasks and projects with its simple user interface and automation settings. You can invite teammates, collaborate with them and get all your tasks finished on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing which I think Asana can implement to make it better than the other software in the market is to have the option to create notes and then integrate them with the projects rather than having a notepad to keep track of all our notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us manage our day-to-day activities, and assign and prioritize task which needs to be done first. It helps us manage the projects between the teams and get all the work done without missing one.
Asana : The best project management software
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it simple to manage all my chores and projects in one location. The assistance is also fantastic! Thanks to some beneficial tools of Asana, I have been able to stay on top of my work and obligations. I especially love the tracking features. I like that you can edit tasks while still being able to create reminders for them. I also enjoy that they keep the whole team in touch and under observation, allowing everyone to see how productive they have been or what chores are still outstanding, which is something we do not know. Additionally, Asana offers Unlimited tasks, projects, messages, activity logs, and file storage; yet, the Free Pricing is tolerant enough to allow collaboration with up to 10 or 15 more users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of an undo button in Asana is something I don't like. I occasionally make mistakes that I need to fix but am unable to. Although it features a style similar to Smartsheet and allows you to set up several teams or projects, it is less organized than Smartsheet. It can quickly become highly disorganized. In my opinion, you should be able to access your assignments and projects from several organizations in one location. Some improvements might be made to the user interface. As an illustration, pressing "Enter" without intending to do so starts a new task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We required a platform to inform the stakeholders of the projects other teams were working on and how they related to our primary objectives. This makes it simple to keep track of all the tasks required for a project. I also appreciate being able to provide projects to particular people and specify due dates. Asana functions like a muscle that we regularly work out to become much more productive at work and faster at all activities. I also adore the software's various views, including lists, calendars, tasks, and timelines. Overall, I love that Asana is super easy to use but has more advanced features when needed. I hope Asana continues developing its features because doing so will benefit us.
Complete task and activity management toolset
What do you like best about the product?
It can easily flex between a list view or a sticky-note style board. The tasks are easy to drag and drop and asana links between platforms. I guess all of which is pretty standard for these types of software. What pulls ASANA ahead - the My Tasks view, and that you can have specific rules running on your My Task view to organise the activities how you need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tickets can be difficult to see where they start and where they end. It takes a while to get used to the interface as it's not as clear as Trello at visually identifying different pieces of work. Also the notifications can get a bit much, so you need to often manage notifications - turning them off isn't easy because then you miss out on important tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Activity and task management for projects across various departments - our business lives in Asana. We use it to set dependencies and track work that might need to be completed in a few months time.
Project management software with just the right amount of gamification!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is beautiful and the gamified tweaks, like celebrations after completing tasks, make Asana fun to use. A fun user experience is the single most important factor in long-term use, in my opinion. I also love that Asana constantly solicits user feedback via platforms like the Asana Forum.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integrations for essential functions need work. For example, integrations to Google Calendar are one-way, and Slack integrations either mean EVERY single change to a project is posted to the connected channel, or nothing is. There are also some features, like Goals and Reporting, which could be expanded. However, the bottom line for me is that Asana rolls out updates frequently; I know that fixes are coming, even if they don't make it into the next update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At my company, much of the "work about work" that goes into key job functions is not identified or well-known outside of the person responsible for completing the task. I use the Portfolios, Reporting, and Goals tools to quantify how much of my time is spent on data entry (work about work) vs. core responsibilities for my manager. Asana has helped me build a business case for growing our team and creating a formal process for allocating resources (like time and money) to projects by presenting the data in a manner that is compelling to my leadership team.
Asana Rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana for keeping track of my work and ensuring projects are on-track. It's so helpful to have an interactive, collaborative "to-do list" so my mind can focus on the work it needs to and not on "Who's doing what?" "What info do I still need to share?" "Did I send this for approval?!"
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I love almost everything about Asana. One of my big wishes would be the ability to rename the default fields. Example: change "Due Date" to "In-Hand Date" or "Event Date." (It's helpful having the Dates custom field as a work-around, but still). Or, instead of "Assignee," having the option to rename that as "Project Manager." (Again, the People custom field is a handy workaround.)
Also, can we make the "Saved Searches" sidebar collapsible?? It's so rarely used by anyone in our org and takes up a big chunk of the sidebar.
Oh! The one thing I really hate is the "teasing" of features for Premium members. i.e. The "upgrade" button in the upper-left, Portfolios and Goals in the sidebar, etc. It's very confusing for several members on my team and clutters up the space.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the question of "who's doing what by when," dramatically reduces the chances of something being missed or forgotten, and reduces the hunt for information pertaining to projects (email vs. chat vs. file storage vs. etc.)
The inestimable contribution of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Asana is that it allows me to automate the most essential aspects of a process. This saves me a lot of time and energy, which I can put into other tasks. Additionally, as someone who likes highly visual representations, I appreciate the board view feature, which gives me a quick overview of all activities. With this feature, I can remember what needs to get done. Consequently, managing multiple projects at once in an organized manner is extremely helpful for efficiency. Nevertheless, working in a team usually requires changes in habit and procedure, but luckily Asana provides some leeway - like in the "my chores" section - which is fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Asana is that standard components of a current project management automation system occasionally need to be present. This causes me to use Flowsana more often than desired and makes it difficult to practice all Flowsana postures directly in Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps Coordinate the time required to finish client programs and support those programs. Utilizing Asana for planning and implementation initiatives helps keep things on track.
The Task Management App that strikes functionality & simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana because it's easy to use. Such a relieve to onboard new users in my team to use the app. Beside that, we have been using it since 2018 and haven't noticed any slow down in loading all the tasks!
What do you dislike about the product?
The free features keep decreasing. I understand this from the business point of view, but some features should have been in the free tier instead of paid one. Also, the subscription is a bit steep if you're not doing business in USD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solve the problems of task management and task delegation because it has all the histories. It keeps getting better without adding too much features like other competitors do.
Asana just made my days a whole lot easier
What do you like best about the product?
Just stepping up to using a project management software from sticky notes on my wall has been a tremendous boost in my productivity so I want to caution readers that this is the only one of it's type I have tried so keep that in mind. I did demo briefly a few others but going from post-its on my wall to any PM software is like discovering fire for the first time. Being an extreme non-technical serial founder I've always had a tech geek or two or five in a back room somewhere doing all this for me...I'd slide pizzas under their door a few times a day and out would come my finished project. But my technical co-founder on this startup and I had a falling out and he bailed at a point to get another into the mix and up to speed so I'm taking this one as a solopreneur and doing all the tech side myself so also take that into consideration as well as meaning...If I can do it a pig wearing a birthday hat can do it ok? So the basic UX around this one is VERY easy to grasp right away. That's what I needed and that's what I got right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike all the little daily reminders nipping at my heels which you don't have to have turned on but as a procrastinator, I need them so I have them turned on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The team I have is a new Co-founder who brings wealth and knowledge with her within the industry (vacation rentals) and years of high-level corporate management experience with her but she's out of state doing what she does all day long so she does not relieve me from wearing two hats. The basic premise of this one is not an app or piece of code but rather more of a real estate fix and flip when you boil it all down starting out with the renovation of 8 structures situated on 20 acres of open range up at 9,200ft in a national forest, followed by the complete rebuilding of all utility infrastructure then adding in glamping sites, events, and last but not least a sidebar 501c3 Equestrian Therapy component. That boils down to a lot of post-it notes of many different colors on my walls with string running from one to another as complimentary projects or successive projects. Follow? So what Asana has done for me is provide me with a very "pig in a birthday hat" easy solution.
Asana is the online agenda everyone needs!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great collaborative space where your entire team can create tasks, share and assign projects as well as give you a to do list to remind you of your tasks! It's so helpful for teams that intertwine on many projects!
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can take some time getting use to. It also does not have a time-tracking feature, which could be useful since it is focused on organization and project management!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps our company stay organized and on top of deadlines! It helps us communicate, plan and schedule many projects! Definitely helps our productivity and keeping each other accountable.
Who. What. When. Clear way to reduce conflict.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is built on the basics: track who will do what, by when. This is the foundation of integrity. The many features of Asana build upon this foundation, with a rich, easy user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana's flexibility (it can be configured for many different use cases) can be hard for beginners to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps teams, individuals, and organizations to clarify and communicate on their way to achieving their objectives. I find it intuitive to track my deliverables, coordinate with other stakeholders, and connect work across functions.
