Following agile projects with ASANA
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Asana as part of my daily work managing technology projects at MAXIA Inc., and it has become one of the tools I rely on the most to keep things organized and moving forward. What I appreciate the most is how clearly it allows me to structure projects—breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress in a way that the whole team can easily understand. In complex tech projects where multiple teams are involved, that level of clarity makes a big difference.
Another thing that stands out to me is how Asana helps maintain visibility across the project lifecycle. Instead of constantly asking for updates, I can quickly see where things stand, what’s pending, and what might become a bottleneck. This has been particularly useful when coordinating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders who all have different priorities but need to stay aligned. The ability to comment directly on tasks and keep discussions attached to the work itself also saves a lot of time and reduces the noise of long email threads.
Overall, Asana fits very naturally into the way I manage projects. It doesn’t feel like an extra layer of administration; rather, it supports the workflow we already have. For me, it’s not just about tracking tasks—it’s about having a shared space where the team can stay focused, accountable, and coordinated as we move projects from planning to delivery.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I generally enjoy working with Asana, one challenge I’ve noticed appears when projects grow significantly during execution. In technology projects, it’s quite common for scope and requirements to evolve, and when the number of tasks and subtasks increases a lot, it can become harder to quickly review dependencies and keep everything aligned with the original objectives that were defined at the beginning of the project.
Another aspect that sometimes makes things a bit more difficult is navigating very large project boards. When there are many tasks, sections, and conversations happening at the same time, finding specific information or understanding the overall structure can take more time than expected. It’s manageable, but it does require discipline from the team to maintain a clear structure and keep tasks updated consistently.
Asana offers many features, there are moments when managing complex dependencies or long-term planning across multiple projects could be more intuitive. In large programs where several initiatives are interconnected, it can take additional effort to visualize the full picture and ensure everything remains aligned. Even so, these challenges are manageable, and with good project organization, Asana still provides strong support for day-to-day project management.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is "super useful" for software development projects, as well as for activities that require the participation of several collaborators and, in general, any task that needs continuous monitoring. We have been able to track development sprints with relative ease as we can assign tasks to those responsible for updating the progress of their activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Carry out prior planning of the scope and organize based on objectives.
Great tool for collaborating and tracking projects
What do you like best about the product?
My supervisor and peers can see the progress I am making on a project, assign tasks. It connects to Gmail, making it easier to assign tasks directly from emails received.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to learn how to use. Need to take time to learn, which can make it overwhelming to new users. Tasks are only assigned to one person. Doesn't allow time tracking, so it is hard to know how much time was devoted to a task/project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows collaboration between team members on projects. Makes it easier for my supervisor to keep track of projects I am working on. Helps us keep track of the process it took to complete a project.
Great software to manage projects and collaborate with others on your team
What do you like best about the product?
The main thing I like is that it's easy to see what projects/tasks I have left to do, whether for the day, the week, or the month. I also enjoy the little celebration display when you tick off one of your tasks (it's small and kind of dumb, but it's enjoyable when you finish a task). Lastly, I appreciate that it's easy to see other people's comments on the project (whether they're from my team or others), and it's easy to get clarification or more context if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something small, but I think it should be automatic that projects/tasks are filtered by due date first, as it's easy sometimes to get backlogged (if you have a lot going on), and you may miss a task that you need to prioritize first. It's easy to configure the filter that way, but I think it should be the default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am helping solve data analysis problems with Asana, as I am responsible for helping pull or solve problems for my team that concern data. The benefits are that it's easy to have all of my tasks that I need to focus on all in one place, instead of on different platforms or scribbled on paper.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you first log in, make sure you're aware you can sort by the due date (so you can see what tasks you should focus on first), and you can also switch between seeing ALL of your projects or just the incomplete ones (so it's cleaner to view and manage). Other than that, Asana's easy to use, and the little celebratory display when you tick off a task is amusingly satisfying!
Amazing platform for organising and planning!
What do you like best about the product?
The customization options are endless and the features to use the platform as per our requirement, be it work or personal planner, Asana is the most go-to platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are too many features that can sometimes be complicated to use. Also, the pricing is a bit tricky to deal with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization is not difficult if we have the right tools and Asana has become that tool for me.
We use it for project management
What do you like best about the product?
It helps us to stay organized on projects as we work as a team. It brings transparency on how everyone on the team is doing their assignments as everything is viewable on the dashboard. When I want to put a new project online, there are many templates to choose from that help to simplify the work. I just edit here and there, plus putting my text. Assigning tasks is even simplified as everyone is added as a user and they receive necessary information on their side. Interestingly, it allows me to set new rules for each new project for everyone to follow. There are forms too that are simple produce and full in.
What do you dislike about the product?
The templates should be further improved for each project type to improve automation and reduce the work of typing texts. Instead, they should have pre-approved basics based on industry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working online is simplified as a team as we share a project in bits with a deadline on each. Asana makes doing these easily and in one place. This makes management of a team and monitoring project progress easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have used it on small and large projects and it really simplifies management.
Very very nice product
What do you like best about the product?
I like how good we can do the project management and how my teams can focus on their goals using the same
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no such dislike, but they can work more on their aupport department
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing Calendar, online proofing, product management
Helpful, useful platform!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive the platform is to use. It is incredibly easy and helps me stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can seem a little clunky and I wish there was an easier way to see my archive tasks more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying organized and on top of tasks. We've realized that this helps solve some of our organization issues.
Never lose another task again with organized list and snappy updates
What do you like best about the product?
The inbox feature of Asana is great - far easier than email when trying to work cross-functionally. Deadline adjustment makes it so that nothing slips between the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving many tasks across projects can cause Asana to lag. It is best suited for less than 20 collaborators at a time when trying to work toward a goal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with teams across the world asynch. This solution will always be more efficient than email especially with the number of minute updates that come in across time zones during a business day.
One stop shop for orchestrating your tasks!
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and fast interface makes task management a breeze! Blows away other task and issue management tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with JIRA not seamless but this is a very minor point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management.
Asana is great!
What do you like best about the product?
It is very simple to use and it's easy to track project and progress. I also like that you can shre it with multiple peope.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can look a little cluttered on the list feature, especially if multiple people are on one board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a big problem of keeping track of projects and who is in charge of them. The benefits realized are the being able to share boards with multiple people and assigning people to projects.
