Quirky, fun AND useful
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I like Asana's sense of humor. One of the first features I point out to people is the keyboard command "Tab-B".
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to filter tasks to just the ones that are ready for me to work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a fast moving email and event hosting process for our small team and Asana has been invaluable to keeping us on track and getting things done.
I should also note that my wife and I use it at home to sort out and keep track of household items we want to accomplish. It's that fun and easy to use.
I should also note that my wife and I use it at home to sort out and keep track of household items we want to accomplish. It's that fun and easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it some time and be sure to use templates and subtasks to keep things straight.
Asana is my favorite project management tool I have ever used
What do you like best about the product?
The organizational abilities are great in that I can get as macro or micro as I need. I love the recent updates, being able to go between list and board views is nice. But my favorite new feature is loading CSV files to create a project. The calendar function is very helpful for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading files onto tasks and projects is very clunky and not intuitive. The Asana add on for gmail is also clunky. Adding information within emails should be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing projects with tasks and production calendars. Using templates for projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great for project management. It looks great and is very easy to upload CSV into a project.
KISD Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
Asana also offers a discount for users who pay annually for their plans. Additionally, there is a small team discount for teams of under 15 users (who are on the Premium plan), and a non-profit discount for eligible organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is completely free for groups of up to 15 people and includes unlimited tasks, projects, and conversations. However, if you want premium support and features, or if your organization has more than 15 members, you have to upgrade to a paid plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since Asana is cloud-based, there are very few requirements you need to meet to use the software. Asana is, therefore, best suited for small to mid-size businesses or businesses that already use another resource for the financial aspect of project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana works for small and large businesses. You can use Asana if you have fewer than 15 employees or if you have hundreds of employees.
Great UI, easy enough to learn
What do you like best about the product?
The customization is great, and it's not overwhelming like some enterprise level software. I appreciate the little things like fun loading messages, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Projects could be organized in a clearer fashion, would love more resources for implementation/onboarding, and email notifications are hard to turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability is very clear on the platform. You know what's assigned to who and when it's due.
Good for keeping track
What do you like best about the product?
Great for keeping track of tasks that need to be shared in the office world. Can make great collaboration on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't do a great job reminding me where I am at or behind
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
easiest way to assign tasks across an entire org for a product launch
What do you like best about the product?
assigning tasks to colleagues on different teams
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes the amount of projects looks overwhelming in list form
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps me focus on the small things even though I'm a big picture person
Easy to use and flexible
What do you like best about the product?
That I can create my own format for organization - using the boards and column headings, also separating projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of storage of progress over time, tied to a calendar so you can look back at what was done. Also having items that are just to do rather than the actual project which has a deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping up with tasks. I need to see everything at once in a simple way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it out and make sure it fits your needs, but it is very useful.
A powerful system but at a cost
What do you like best about the product?
There are many features available but that comes at a cost. The ability to collaborate is high but only if you buy in at the enterprise level.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost with a large organization can be prohibitive. The lack of a chat feature is also a drawback
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and tracking of projects
Review of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everyone on the team can update their tasks so that everyone knows what each person is doing that week and how much bandwidth they may have(if any) to help on something else
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is kind of a pain in the butt...I always have to click around so many times before my cursor is where I want it to be because its so glitchy. I always start typing a task and instead of the letters appearing where my cursor clicked they appear on some random line. I have to play with it a lot to get it to do what I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for project management where everyone is on the same page and doesnt have to individually tell the other members what they are up to each week. It allows for focus on risks and issues which is important to any successful project
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana has less issues when used in google chrome but my company has all their stuff set up for explorer
Easy & Robust
What do you like best about the product?
I love the collaborative features that are built in, even within the free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get a little complicated with how deep subtasks can get. It also would be nice to receive email notifications for Individual tasks that come due.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management. Team collaboration.
