Useful but could be better
What do you like best about the product?
The satisfaction of clicking on a task when completed
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a mess if your team doesnt know how to use it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically it has solved organization problems but it hasnt really replaced email as the main source of communication
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s useful for people with clear deadlines
Not that great
What do you like best about the product?
It’s got cool graphic features like a shooting star when checking off tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not very user friendly, hard to tell if lists are private or public
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
Asana has superb interactive workflow charts and more
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to sign up and start using Asana with my department very quickly. I didn't have to read through many documents or watch tons of video in order to get to use it with full efficiency. The tools within Asana are mostly simple to use. Much of the project data we manage can be updated in real time for our entire team to see when they log in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that there could be more features to enhance collaborations on actual content. Asana can do many things with the right integrations, but the default features are more oriented towards scheduling and managing tasks. It could benefit from having more file collaboration features with advanced drawing and version capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana minimizes our need to constantly communicate with team members for project materials and status updates. I think that most team members are more likely to be motivated to finish tasks so that they can help to move projects forward and not be the one that is holding up anything in the workflow. It's good pressure that keeps people aware of all activities and more focused on meeting deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should check out one of the many project templates that can give you a well-formed structure that could jump start projects and guide it in the right direction.
A solid project management software
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the way that you're able to manage your tasks with the view you prefer. The interface is user friendly and it's easy to be productive with this tool. Plus, the mobile app is a no brainer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tasks menu doesn't automatically filter the tasks by due date. Everytime I'm checking my morning tasks, I have to filter them manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a lot more productive with Asana than the others project management tools I used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should at least try the free version and than scale up your needs.
Has potential, but extremely annoying
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very user friendly and easy to understand your tasks and assign tasks to a team
What do you dislike about the product?
It sends a ridiculous amount of emails for tasks to the point that it overloads your inbox. It also doesn't feel like an all-in-one system built for teamwork, organization and cooperation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Somewhat annoying to use and non-collaborative. Gets the simple job of assigning tasks done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend time configuring all the settings and learn how to get the most out of it.
Great Service for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the accountability/project management this product provides. It helps to see where everyone is at with their actions items and what you need to complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like the inbox compared to using regular email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this service for our culture committee at work and love the ease of launching/managing projects for it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using this product if you want a clear layout of projects, action items, and statuses.
Non-technical Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like to visual design/interface of Asana and the onboarding flow is really nice!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way for a manager to "watch" the status of the task to see status updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To-do list for no technical team members who do not want to use Jira.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with their project templates to get familiar
Asana = Get Ish Done
What do you like best about the product?
Checking off the box feels satisfactory. Ability to sort into various categories and have teammembers in certain categories.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you check off a task it disappears right away. I know it goes to the saved category section but it can be easy to accidentally check something off and then it is gone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of sorting out the to-do tasks and getting them done. Benefits me in the way that I can simply list out the things I need to do, sort them into categories, invite or assign to team members to remind them to get things done, and essentially track that all projects are getting done!
Beautifully simple to track employees progress in completing projects.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to attach work directly to the task, so it can be reviewed, stored and commented upon all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to add a follower to multiple tasks at the same time. Currently, you can only add followers to individual tasks and this is quite time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved the problem of keeping my VP's connected and informed of each others' tasks. I have realized that I can keep them updated of each others' work by adding them as followers on each others' tasks.
Asana Makes Your Work Life Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to stay on top of my projects and their tasks on a daily basis in Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new updated interface seems "busy" but I think I just need time to get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needing a tool to stay on top of all of my different day-to-day tasks and projects.
